It's fun to see which parts still come through the language barrier-- everyone's shock at the lawyer reveal, moaning over the sweeping edge bug. For the different parts each person pauses at, either to laugh or to investigate, watching their face and mouse pointer for which part of the screen they're focusing on helps, but it's mostly guess work and it is a little bittersweet to not be able to confirm. Still, the energy is contagious XD

For non-Portuguese speakers may I ask how does Portuguese sound for y'all? I'm always so curious about it but I never had a foreign friend to ask 😅 Edit: thanks for everyone answering 🩷 it is warming my heart! Just to explain, the Brazilians in Qsmp have really different accents from one another, which they soften a bit for the live stream. Forever is from Rio, and Cellbit is from the south (but he has lived in São Paulo for more than 6 years. You can see his real accent in his Rpg - O segredo na floresta that it passes in the city he grew up), Felps is from São Paulo and Mike and Pac from the interior (you can see their accent in this clip on their official channel called “Pac e Mike falando com sotaque”.
For me as a native Ukrainian speaker this sounds so unfamiliar, I can't understand a single word eve with a bit of English knowledge. And it sounds funny after I learned a few Portuguese swear words while watching QSMP :D also it sounds a bit similar to Spanish but I can tell that they really different in a little details. And the last one that I noticed is that some sounds in Portuguese sound different than in English like "T" in Portuguese sounds more like "Ch" and "Ch" in Portuguese sounds more like "Sh". So yeah thats all I've noticed and all that I can say about Portuguese :D I'm not a big linguist but I like Portuguese, it sounds funny and when people scream in Portuguese it sounds so emotional lmaoo
As a native English speaker with some Spanish, my head thinks of it as Spanish with a really extreme accent. There's a lot of words that are really similar to Spanish so I piggyback off of that to understand what's being said. The main thing about Portuguese that I noticed are the vowels. They're really different to Spanish and English.
As a primarily English speaker with some familiarity in Spanish, Portuguese sounds like Spanish but off. Like, it's clearly a different language due to the more 'twisty' and unique sounds it has, but it sounds juuust similar enough to Spanish where I feel like I should be naturally understanding a lot of it, but even if I listen really hard I'm only catching about one in every thirty words. To me, Portuguese also generally sounds a little more nasally/high-in-the-throat than English and Spanish do, but this may just be specific to certain people and not an aspect of the language itself. Very cool effects! Hope this helps! :)

I’m American and I love the way Portuguese sounds. I can’t describe it at all, but I love all of favela 5 accents. I love it when Forever says que isso and meus deus, that’s pretty much all I can understand though 😂

I just recently got to the part of the server in my rewatch of Philza’s vods where the Brazilians arrived, and just watched the one where Cellbit had a chat with Phil getting information about basically the first few weeks of the server. The recap video he’s watching feels like a copy of that moment in stream haha, the more cut and concise version of his information gathering he did, plus visuals.

It's fun to see which parts still come through the language barrier-- everyone's shock at the lawyer reveal, moaning over the sweeping edge bug. For the different parts each person pauses at, either to laugh or to investigate, watching their face and mouse pointer for which part of the screen they're focusing on helps, but it's mostly guess work and it is a little bittersweet to not be able to confirm. Just to explain, the Brazilians in Qsmp have really different accents from one another, which they soften a bit for the live stream. Forever is from Rio, and Cellbit is from the south (but he has lived in São Paulo for more than 6 years. You can see his real accent in his Rpg - O segredo na floresta that it passes in the city he grew up), Felps is from São Paulo and Mike and Pac from the interior (you can see their accent in this clip on their official channel called “Pac e Mike falando com sotaque”.

For me as a native Ukrainian speaker this sounds so unfamiliar, I can't understand a single word eve with a bit of English knowledge. And it sounds funny after I learned a few Portuguese swear words while watching QSMP :D also it sounds a bit similar to Spanish but I can tell that they really different in a little details. And the last one that I noticed is that some sounds in Portuguese sound different than in English like "T" in Portuguese sounds more like "Ch" and "Ch" in Portuguese sounds more like "Sh". So yeah thats all I've noticed and all that I can say about Portuguese :D I'm not a big linguist but I like Portuguese, it sounds funny and when people scream in Portuguese it sounds so emotional lmaoo
As a native English speaker with some Spanish, my head thinks of it as Spanish with a really extreme accent. There's a lot of words that are really similar to Spanish so I piggyback off of that to understand what's being said. The main thing about Portuguese that I noticed are the vowels. They're really different to Spanish and English.
As a primarily English speaker with some familiarity in Spanish, Portuguese sounds like Spanish but off. Like, it's clearly a different language due to the more 'twisty' and unique sounds it has, but it sounds juuust similar enough to Spanish where I feel like I should be naturally understanding a lot of it, but even if I listen really hard I'm only catching about one in every thirty words. To me, Portuguese also generally sounds a little more nasally/high-in-the-throat than English and Spanish do, but this may just be specific to certain people and not an aspect of the language itself. Very cool effects! Hope this helps! :)
