I was kidnapped by my dad who moved to Canada when I was 4 and I met my mom when I was 15 and didn't know who she was. She kept hugging me and crying and like every 15 year old girl, I was just embarrassed and stiff thinking why is this person hugging me. But I remained polite and tried to talk nicely to her, even though she was just like someone just off the street. It took me years to get to know her although she was a probably the sweetest person Ive ever known but to this day (I'm 54) I still see her as just a friend or neighbour and she's passed away now and I feel bad about not having been able to give her true love back. What my dad did to her was the worst possible thing, taking her children away and destroying the mother/daughter bond for ever. But I just couldn't force it, the feelings weren't there, I'm sorry, and not having a mom warped me in my relationships to others. When people take kids away from their parents they want to make the other parent suffer but the ones who get most screwed up for life are the kids.

This episode was emotional. These couple took the baby because the mother wasn’t caring for her. She was lost and an addict .. the baby would cry all day and night .. not fed sitting in her stool and they were simply so stupid to take her and leave. The mother never asked about her. I think because they feared they won’t have a chance to adopt her if they called on her mother .. they decided to just take her. They expected the mother to never care .. which she didn’t but then the daughter got sick and they needed to take her to the hospital .. and that’s when they told the doctor naively about it and they got caught. It’s a sad story

How is that "not being a good mother"? Being a mother is how you treat the CHILD, not how you treat other people related to the child.
She can be a terrible person for the birth mother, than doesn't make her a bad mother for the CHILD.
Children don't love their mother just because they came from their belly. The girl here never knew her birth mother so she isn't hurt by her kidnapping.

@@vq-ql5iv Actually, the girl was a baby and spent hours by herself without be feed or cleaned. If you see a baby been treated like that you have to report. The problem is that they took the girl to give a bath and feed her (according to them it was the inicial plan) instead of reporting. I think if they had reported and showed intention of adopt her there would a possibily of doing that in legal terms (if the biological mother represented a threat to the child). The problem it was that they took her to take care and didn't give her back nor reported, so of course it was kidnapping (even because it seems that they knew where the mother was and that she wasn't a drug addicted anymore)

That is a social workers job and it’s their job because they are properly trained in risk management. 6 fucking years my mother trained to be a social worker. Good Samaritan my ass these people are selfish and ill equipped to deal with this as seen by the reaction of “their” daughter. They committed a crime wether her life was better for it or not they are criminals. Motherhood wasn't so powerful thing when she used to leave the girl outside the house without feeding or cleaning her to take drugs, right? The couple should have alerted the authorits because it is not that I think that I could do a better job than the biological parents that I can take a child and raise like I had been adopted legally. If they had gone to the police, the girl would probabily be put for adoption (if the biological mother didn't want to be commited to rehab to take the girl back and really takes care of her like she should) and they would have had a chance of adopting her according to the law.

It's sad but it is normal that the girl doesn't care for a biological mother.
It's like asking an adopted child to consider their biological parents "their" parents and respect them as much, even more, than the actual people that cared for them.
You owe nothing from a child you never raised and never gave anything (and no, birth isn't sufficient. Birth is something YOU wanted for yourself).
So you would have the right to be furious, but against the adoptive parents that prevented you doing your duty as a parent, not against your daughter.
For the girl here, the mother is the one kidnapping her now.
