Strangest thing, I actually had Walker Boone as a substitute English teacher once back in Grade 12 of high school. He was actually a pretty cool guy to hang out with, and I got to hear a bit about his time with the actors of the Mario Bros/World show.
Whoa, really? I actually like his performance as the Cartoon-Mario more than Lou Albano (with all due respect to him). I'd love to hear Walker in other stuff!
I actually met Marc Graue in person at a voice over conference a couple years ago. He said Hotel Mario was one of his most regretted roles due to how terrible the game was. xD
@@cb8655 Found this... "Averted with Marc Graue (who provided the voice of nearly everyone in the game). It's mind-boggling to see all these connections to classic shows. In fact, I didn't even know that Mario's voice actor from Hotel Mario is still in the business!
Ah! That's pretty cool of him! Not bad for somebody who is best known for voice acting in a meme-tastic video game! By the way, Kirb, thanks for replying to my comment! It means a lot to me!
what i know about Tara Strong is that her (and Tom Kenny, even though he has nothing to do with the Mario cartoons... as i know of) have been in almost everything, back in the 90s, almost every cartoon had these 2 actors in the credits so i dont find it a big shocker
5:45 Also of note is that the other guy in the video of that demo, Stevie Coyle, helped out on some of the Mario in Real-time gigs. I went and talked to Mr. Coyle and he explained that Martinet pretty much had the voice completed and he was just following the lead there.
Mayumi Tanaka voiced Mario, Kirby, *&* King Dedede. It'd also be interesting if the likes Terry Klassen, who voiced Krillin in the Canadian dub, voiced Mario. He'd be a really good fit.
I feel like theres never enough love for voice acting trivia or voice acting online in general, as a va nerd these are some of my favourite series on yt and i hope you keep them going!
Not sure if any of the other DYKVA vids mentioned this, but Matt Hill, who voiced Ed from Ed, Edd 'n Eddy also voiced Captain N from Captain N the Game Master. Also, Donkey Kong also had a separate singing voice for most of the songs, Sterling Jarvis (Yearwood did a few songs, mainly in the basic rap songs that required regular spoken dialog)
As well as the 1939 mistake, The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 actually had 26 episodes, while Super Mario World only had 13. Otherwise great job. :)
How did Charles Martinet voice Mouser and Wart? When it was first on the NES (SMB2) they didn't have voices, and I'm pretty sure that they didn't have voices in the SNES version either.
Good job as always, Kirb. You know what this series needs? DC comics characters. You cover 3 videos with Marvel characters and 2 with Ninja Turtles. Will you be covering DC characters with the likes of Superman, Batman, Justice League and others soon?
So Mario was previously voiced by Yamcha *and* Krillin? I suppose if there's ever a Part 5 you'll tell me that Mario was also voiced by Raditz at one point.
+uknownada •Mouser - "Here, have some bombs!" •Tryclyde - "Step right up, if you're ready to get... _toasted._" •Fryguy - "I'm too hot to touch!" •Clawg(r/l)ip - "Arr, you'll make a tasty treat!" •Wart - "I am the Great Wart! Hahaha!"
Don't know how I came across this, but your video auto showed up outta no where and appeared for me, what you do, cough up for ad word suggestion or something?
All this and we don't get to hear who brought us "mah boi, this peace is what all true heroes strive for" and "great, I can't wait to bomb some Dodongos"? I mean, I could just look it up, but that would take effort and stuff
Luigi was portrayed as cowardly since the commercial of his original game in 1983 and also in the animated shows. Charles Martinez could've easily just taken that idea when he performed at tradeshows
Fire puppies I think I have heard that Tara Strong and Tabitha St Germain are childhood friends. Remember that Tara Strong is from Canada Toronto Canada in fact. My guess is that's why they appear in so many cartoons together because they're friends with each other.
Strangest thing, I actually had Walker Boone as a substitute English teacher once back in Grade 12 of high school. He was actually a pretty cool guy to hang out with, and I got to hear a bit about his time with the actors of the Mario Bros/World show.
That is awesome.

dude that's awesome
ZeeOwlMan How long ago was that?
ZeeOwlMan Wow.
1:25 he also voiced Pegasus Seiya once in Saint Seiya
I actually met Marc Graue in person at a voice over conference a couple years ago. He said Hotel Mario was one of his most regretted roles due to how terrible the game was. xD
I don't blame him
I keep reading that he’s glad Hotel Mario has been given a new life through memes, and that he’s thankful for that role. But who knows?
@@cb8655 Found this... "Averted with Marc Graue (who provided the voice of nearly everyone in the game). In an interview, he said he had lots of fun doing the voices and he's happy that they're being used in TH-cam Poop despite being more than a decade old."

Donkey Kong's singing voice in the 3D cartoon was actually the guy who sang the zoboomafoo theme song, Sterling Jarvis.
RIP, Walker Boone
Rest in Peace Walker boone :(
God save us when Charles Martinez passes away and all his role in the Mario franchise get recasted
Charles Martinet also provided Diddy Kong's vocals in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which were later recycled in Super Smash Bros. 4.
Source?
The link was taken down.
Then I can't just take that as fact, sorry.
If the Super Show gets a reboot get Vinesauce on that shit to voice Mario and Luigi
It's mind-boggling to see all these connections to classic shows. In fact, I didn't even know that Mario's voice actor from Hotel Mario is still in the business!
Yup, he runs his own recording studio in LA!
Ah! That's pretty cool of him! Not bad for somebody who is best known for voice acting in a meme-tastic video game!
By the way, Kirb, thanks for replying to my comment! It means a lot to me!
I love Toru Fujiya the voice actor who played the voice of tuxedo mask in sailor moon and the voice of yamcha in dragonball
don't forget my boi Pegasus Seiya
Tara Strong? As a Koopaling? No way!
Michael J And Tabitha St. Germain.
I don't care! Tara Strong's my favourite!
Best Koopa princess?
what i know about Tara Strong is that her (and Tom Kenny, even though he has nothing to do with the Mario cartoons... as i know of) have been in almost everything, back in the 90s, almost every cartoon had these 2 actors in the credits so i dont find it a big shocker
catluvr2 And alicorn princess.

So many minds blown. Mario and Amuro from Gundam share the same VA?! KRILLIN and Mario/Kirby?!
I love these videos! :D
Mayumi Tanaka voiced Mario, Kirby, *&* King Dedede.
It'd also be interesting if the likes Terry Klassen, who voiced Krillin in the Canadian dub, voiced Mario. He'd be a really good fit.
*****
I KNOW
Furuya's Mario sounds like an even younger Pegasus Seiya who's half Mario's age
I feel like theres never enough love for voice acting trivia or voice acting online in general, as a va nerd these are some of my favourite series on yt and i hope you keep them going!
0:51 Peter Cullen
3:14 Mama Luigi
5:15 Hotel Mario
To think that both Marc Graue and Charles Martinet would go on to voice characters in Ratchet & Clank. (Mr. Zurkon and Orvus respectively)
Lou Albano: The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!
Me: This is my fault...
Link: Well Excuse Me Princess!
Me: Boiiiii!
So that's why the "Whining" bit in the MLP episode "A Dog and Pony Show" sounded so familiar...who would've thought.
Not sure if any of the other DYKVA vids mentioned this, but Matt Hill, who voiced Ed from Ed, Edd 'n Eddy also voiced Captain N from Captain N the Game Master. And they were all 11-minute episodes. Let's not forget that.
@@ScatterbrainPete divided in two episodes
0:13; I think you mean 1983.
I know right. Whoops.
2:10 - 2:35 ---> I wasn't born until 1997, but I saw the box in a store and was able to watch when I was younger... (I still have the box set...)
Toru Furuya also voiced Pegasus Seiya, which you should have mentionned.
How did Charles Martinet voice Mouser and Wart? When it was first on the NES (SMB2) they didn't have voices, and I'm pretty sure that they didn't have voices in the SNES version either.
In GBA remake "Super Mario Advance". All characters (heroes and bosses) have voices.
Charles Martinet voiced everyone in Super Punch Out, not just Little Mac.
That Green Greens + SMB3 Credits mix is cool!
RIP Mama Luigi
Then Tou'ru Furuya voices Sabo........oh lol
And looks like Mario has had BOTH of Luffy and Sabo's voices.
Omg, the mlp reference! I completely forgot that they worked on the SMW show! XD
1:24 for Anime Mario's voice
Thank me later
I started reciting the Hotel Mario line you played from memory...
Great video though.
that's mama Luigi to you mario
SFC mr Raccoon RIP Tony Rosato
6:06 watch out it is the wario apperation
Finally, a comment that's 3 Months old.
I would SO LOVE a long video of cartoon characters teaching Kanji. Took two years of Japanese in HighSchool (graduated in 2009)
remember kids, oogtar spelled backwards is ratgoo!
Thanks for this.
Charles Martinet is a legend
Mario wasn’t an antagonist In the donkey kongs games.Mario started off as a hero in the beginning
Finally, part 4
That koopalings part was amazing.
Walker Boone passed away just a few months ago.
1938.....I'm older than I thought...
6:07 where can i find this?!
False!
Len Carlson voiced Krusha. Adrian Truss voiced General Klump.
Fun fact: Frank Welker also voiced Megatron.
Omnik Dominick he also played the role of Fred Jones in scooby doo.
This is the closest you’ll get to hearing Mario shout
“PEGASUS RYU SEI KEN!!!”
Good job as always, Kirb. You know what this series needs? DC comics characters. You cover 3 videos with Marvel characters and 2 with Ninja Turtles. Will you be covering DC characters with the likes of Superman, Batman, Justice League and others soon?
Someday; I need to do more research on the behind-the-scenes stuff!
Peter Cullen almost looks like Mario
Fun fact: Mama Luigi's voice was an SNL alumni
Yeah, the late Tony Rosato, who also played Nemesis in RE3
can you do a playstation all stars special.
Mario was once donkey kong...
I need to go and watch those other Mario anime's I watch a fan dub of the movie but I would love to see the other Mario anime's as well
So Mario was previously voiced by Yamcha *and* Krillin? I suppose if there's ever a Part 5 you'll tell me that Mario was also voiced by Raditz at one point.
Kami played him in some Mario Paint commercials, but also played Dr. Wily in 8 and Powered Up
I wish I knew specific songs from jamesmanxtreme you used.
where can I find Charles Martinet as DK?
When are you going to do Did You Know Voice Acting Transformers
Alright. Now do one on the Tales series.
You mentioned Peter Cullen as being prime but not Welker as Megatron?
Welker's done so much more than JUST Megatron when it comes to VO though!
Christopher Niosi So had Cullen!
in fact Welker also played Soundwave, Skywarp, Ravage, Rumble and Frenzy just to name a few
This was a trip down YTP lane
Yeah........ Tara Strong has been in more shows than Mario games
As an aspiring voice actor, I really like this series.
When did Martinet voice Wart, and the other Mario 2 characters? Did they speak in Super Mario Advance?
+uknownada
•Mouser - "Here, have some bombs!"
•Tryclyde - "Step right up, if you're ready to get... _toasted._"
•Fryguy - "I'm too hot to touch!"
•Clawg(r/l)ip - "Arr, you'll make a tasty treat!"
•Wart - "I am the Great Wart! Hahaha!"
Koops Akimoto
•Fryguy: I'm done!
•Wart: _Oooh,_ ribbit! _Noooooooooaaaaaugh!_
Don't know how I came across this, but your video auto showed up outta no where and appeared for me, what you do, cough up for ad word suggestion or something?
That picture is not Len Carlson in your video! Update please!
AkaRed was also Toru Furuya
DCB99FReturns *Mindblown*
Where's Stevie Coyle?
Can you do one on Gundam?
Maybe someday, but there's probably not enough trivia to go into...
That's mama Luigi to you, Mario!
heeh
"I can't, I'm allergic to mountains."
Wut?
LOL Saturday Supercade in 1938 XD
"Captain" Lou Albano
Do one based on Sony characters
Wait, when did the SMB2 bosses get voiced?
SMB2 bosses has voices in GBA remake
DarkTailsX24 HOLY CRUD! That's pretty cool!
"Choose a player"
"Here we go, Super Mario!"
My god the dragon ball cast seriously has gotten around. I feel like there are more forms of media that can relate back to it than ones that cant.
Can you cover Star vs the Forces of Evil?
Haven't seen enough of it.
Christopher Niosi It actually won't take that long to catch up. There aren't that many episodes so far.
1938? Nani? Don't you mean '83? How did you get that mixed up?
Good vids yo. Ima hungry... *grumble hrumble*
All this and we don't get to hear who brought us "mah boi, this peace is what all true heroes strive for" and "great, I can't wait to bomb some Dodongos"? I mean, I could just look it up, but that would take effort and stuff
Nothing in particular to say about the Zelda CDi actors in terms of trivia, sorry!
Didn't they just have on-site staff for the game do the voices?
Please do a new part for Sailor Moon involving the Viz Media dub
Someday!
Christopher Niosi YAY! at least "Someday" is better than "Never" xD
WAIT DID I HEAR "IN 1938" at 0:13
yes
Kirby should've spoke more.
T H I S I S I T L U I G I!!!!!
THAT'S MAMA TO YOU!

Hey Kirb.
Mario’s Eeyore
Did I just hear 1938?
1938??
you said 1938 that they made those you meant to say 1983 maybe you should make an edited version that has 1983 and 1938 hhmHHMMM!!!????
Charles Martiment also voice paarthurnax from skyrim
+Edgehog As well as Orvus in Ratchet & Clank and the Homunculus in Shadow of Memories/Destiny.
3:25 why is toad covered in semen?
i dont like that adaptation of the superstar saga battle theme playing in this video
1938?
(sees thumbnail) NOOOOOOOOHOHOHO!!!!
Luigi was portrayed as cowardly since the commercial of his original game in 1983 and also in the animated shows. Charles Martinez could've easily just taken that idea when he performed at tradeshows
Nintendo didn't actually use it themselves until Luigi's Mansion is the point.
Even though MLP was only on screen for a few seconds, the need to vomit was already beginning to rise
not just that but Tara Strong has more roles that were more impactful and memorable than that
Let's forget the fact that said show was only brought up because *someone else* from that show was alongside her...
UltimaKeyMaster exactly, odds are it's the best known collab they did.
Overreacting, much?
Fire puppies I think I have heard that Tara Strong and Tabitha St Germain are childhood friends. Remember that Tara Strong is from Canada Toronto Canada in fact. My guess is that's why they appear in so many cartoons together because they're friends with each other.
4 kids doesnt care about workers rights because Nintendo 4kids anime dubs are non union. (pokemon)
Umm, 4Kids is bankrupt. Go home, noone has to be corrupted by their dubs anymore
1983 dummy! :)
