I honestly wish i could've saved the doctor but i figured supplies would be essential and she might have been escorted. That's the only decision i regret. Saved the mother and daughter, supported the fatui but asked them to escort the survivors to the tribe and found the lone baby saurian..
Damn, this is the first time in game where our choices mattered. Every player's playthrough during that event is different, and no matter what, you can't save everyone. It really weighed in the fact that that whole part of the story was a war, with people actually dying.
In natlan I was hoping some 4* and 5* characters would die considering how they were abusing the ode of resurrection. Especially mavuika choosing what people to resurrect and letting them rot in the night kingdom if they lost their life. Natlan is one of the most ironic places ever designed
1:24 If you interact with her, she gets help from the Fatui to go the People of the Springs. Iirc, when the Abyss Tumor fell on the route to the People of the Springs, you can see her body there next to a broken carriage
On the brightside, you had the more immersive experience of a soldier/general needing to make quick decisions with limited information during the chaos and fog of war.
Ok so first I went north, then north again, yet the one green warrior was still alive, the sole survivor at the other location was the baby Saurian, then saved the first Echo group, got the one with more survivors, and I managed to save the doctor mom too, I believe I motivated the guy at 3:51 too, but I forget. Finally, i picked Under Siege in the first wave, so I saved the kid and the red guy. Yeah this quest broke me lmao
Imagine. If in the next Archon quest, Genshin make the quest work like how some daily quest that needed sensitive action (Can't break crates, box or pots and yes like delivery event quest, either you can't run, climb or glide included ) and ofc we can't repeat like how archon quest does and the outcome would be different with how we treat it
Didn't play during version 1, but seeing the TH-cam videos and asking OG players about that pizza delivery event, i gonna agree that it seemed annoying as hell.
as a player since 1.0 maybe all I can say is the recent event is better a bit than before, we used to clear the event using resins, and that food delivery event surely traumatic, especially when the weather suddenly poured, and you're just a meter away from the target XD
Not sure if I missed any dialogs that warned me about decision making but this is honestly too much for me for some reason. I mean its okay to let people make choices and accept your decision but as a player who cares about story (and this kind of choose A lose B) I will definitely be careful with choices I will make if only I had knew this from the start. Hopefully next time Hoyo give us some warning to prepare myself. Also something like Paimon's emergency budget she gave us during Fontaine quest they should have put it as quest item so we don't regret using and keep it forever.
Fair point, but i feel something like a warning prior would heavily decrease the emotional impact of you suddenly finding the choices you made had dire consequences. Especially the immersion of being a soldier needing to make quick decisions with the limited information during chaos and the fog of war. Atleast that's my personal opinion
I think there are direct warnings when you choose the next location, "the result will depend on whether you provide immediate support or not" or something along those lines. There are also subtler warnings like Paimon asking you whether to stay or go to the next places with some level of urgency. Granted, things like this were never taken seriously in the previous quests.

I'm mad because I hated the Abyss so much I just charged head on into every combat encounter without even stopping to help the NPC's. I didn't even know our choices mattered and now I feel like an idiot
I felt bad about a lot of it even when I already researched long and hard enough before playing (didn't wanna get stressed by the emotional damage). And STILL there were moments I felt overwhelmed. Everytime my Arlecchino accidentally set the grass on fire I was crazily switching to Neuvi to put it out and not kill people. Or when those pylons took ages to break. And then for Toto when I couldn't immediately see the NPC there and I felt upset for a moment that I was too slow (It was fine. I was just blind and didn't see the NPC). For all the horror.... it was a frickin awesome one. I ended up with 1991 deaths which I know is higher than the best possible..... sigh, to move on I guess. It was amazing anyways and I don't regret staying till 2 am to finish it😂 Edit : Reading the comments 1991 is not as bad as I thought?! A little relief I suppose even though I made some wrong choices
well hoyo disappointed us by showing nation of war in 5.0 as pokemons but turned the tables in 5.1. Had the quest informed earlier the npc's life depend on us i wouldnot hav left the game in between and played slowly relaxing 💀. Looks like gotta play all next quests srsly or i will kill innocents unknowingly 😂
Only dumb guys was disappointed. Human can get used to any condition. They lived there for many years. They get used to war and they can be happy because it's normal life for them.

I didn't know my choices could affect that much but I was really anxious and banging my keyboard because I felt like if i took too much time fighting, the figures could go up. I forgot the total casualities afterthe war but damn, I hoped everyone would be revived when mavuika did that. The story don't need to be that immersive. I just want chuychu and others back.
in fact, medic only increase the number of victims... they cannot fight and heal the abyss, they have no use. so the death statistics are only growing stronger
I'm glad to say that I saved Mayahuel. In the 2nd route, you have to choose the Scions of Canopy to be rescued first. And after you destroyed the abysal pylon in that area, you can actually talk to Dr. Mayahuel.
...I don't regret a single choice I made here, looking at this, I did the best I could. It sucks, seeing the outcomes I wasn't able to save (the mother and child, Raman, Kamaka) but I don't regret the people I did manage to save the lives of and see how they were at the end of the game.
Wow I never thought that the choices we make in the game will have effects afterwards.😣 Seeing the number of casualty gives me goosebump all of a sudden.😳 Thanks for sharing this.
I'm proud of my choices, I didn't save the most but in each area I got at least 1 survivor which makes me cope thinking I was helpful to someone instead of finding an area where everyone died
Is it true that you can get softlocked from certain achievements and side quests depending on your choices? Because some people were saying that. But that wouldn't make sense. Hoyo can't just do that. It almost feels like it would go against the rules that China set for games recently or whatever. Idk.
Yeah they won't make you miss contents completely. In Honkai Star Rail there are a lot of cases where if you choose option 1 you got an achievement, if you choose option 2 the story will end up very differently but you still got another version of that achievement. There is one point in the HSR story if you proceed to a main quest first you will forever lost a NPC's side quest, but there will pop a big warning screen if you try that, reminding you the 60 gacha stones you could've gained from it. And this is a very special case because that side quest was originally a main quest, only after people complained about it breaking the flow of the story then Hoyo updated to be a side quest, it's not the original design.
There is a very small chance that something less significant like a special npc dialogue which would give you an artifact/food dish maybe lost. But as you have said, because china laws on monetisation of games, anything that may give premium currency must be accessible for all players (except natlan local legend achievements for those who had skill issue like me lmao). And we all seen with the recent short nevuillete nerf how CN players are quite rapid in reporting and suing hoyo if they break the rules so im sure the devs wouldn't dare to something like this.
The only thing you can miss are chests. In some quests there's a temporary domain and most of the time you can loot between 3-5 chests. Achievements are 100% obtainable, i have everything myself, few can't be obtained right now because its linked to the statue of Natlan and few other things that are time gated since Natlan like each time when a new reagion is released. Other than that, events might have few items that you can miss like a weapon, a free 4* character or whatever they give you.
The only thing I regret is actually I rushed to get out the first area as soon as I could so I didn't get to talk to Uturunku to motivate him. I only figured it later when I was checking some websites for alternate dialogue. I managed to talk with all the other NPCs in other locations afterwards, hoping I didn't miss a single of them.
I hate quests where you get multiple options but non feel good. I'm more of of an person who, when asked which I would hit, people or an tree, say "hit the god dammit break"

This give me Mass effect or Witcher vibes, your choice actually matter. However I wish they make the difference more prominent, I didn't notice some of the NPC I saved
I went to save the settlement here 0:53 first so had to abandon the children of echoes area on north. During my balloon ride to the south, there was a small scene with Paimon where we noticed from afar; Kinich was running & delivering his letters to somewhere. This is before the black abyss appears on the sky. Is there other such scene where we found playable characters along the way in different paths?
No joke, i was stuck on one of the platforms of the hot air balloon, and had to witness the NPCs fighting on their some hillichurls burning the field. Once i finally got unstuck, i think i managed to save about one or two of them. Way to ruin the immersion for me 😒
I saved more lives in my choices, I saved all of the children of echo guards, I saved the Scions of Canopy group, I saved the group with the dead saurians, and I saved Mayahuel. By count, I saved more lives than making the other choices. However I really felt bad when I knew now that the ones dead are the mother and child after I chose the group with dead saurians. I honestly wish i could've saved the doctor but i figured supplies would be essential and she might have been escorted. That's the only decision i regret. Saved the mother and daughter, supported the fatui but asked them to escort the survivors to the tribe and found the lone baby saurian..
What a good day to lower my world level to clear the quest faster
Damn, this is the first time in game where our choices mattered. Every player's playthrough during that event is different, and no matter what, you can't save everyone. It really weighed in the fact that that whole part of the story was a war, with people actually dying.
In natlan I was hoping some 4* and 5* characters would die considering how they were abusing the ode of resurrection. Especially mavuika choosing what people to resurrect and letting them rot in the night kingdom if they lost their life. Natlan is one of the most ironic places ever designed
1:24
If you interact with her, she gets help from the Fatui to go the People of the Springs. Iirc, when the Abyss Tumor fell on the route to the People of the Springs, you can see her body there next to a broken carriage
My only regret is that I can't save that one warrior's mother. 😢
If I knew any better I wouldn’t have rushed it and taken my time with this
Not rushing means more casualties overall. Wait for too long and the number of deaths spikes.
You're terminally online and should seek help
Imagine. If in the next Archon quest, Genshin make the quest work like how some daily quest that needed sensitive action (Can't break crates, box or pots and yes like delivery event quest, either you can't run, climb or glide included ) and ofc we can't repeat like how archon quest does and the outcome would be different with how we treat it
That would not make it better, it would make it more annoying. Nobody enjoys those missions.
Genshin can truly make us Heroes or Villains depending on our choice..and I have become evil
It’s not about hero and evil. This is about the war and consequences
Yeah, I got 99000 casualties 😂

i feel so bad for not being able to save tepoz's mother 😭
Kinda reminds me of the trolley problem
Or you can just leave the war going on your oc for 80 hours and let the death count get up to 99,999
What? Is that possible? Does fast timing count not just choices?

Litle Nightmares vibes 😭😭😭
I didn't save anyone since I didn't know it was that important
- The players who told tepoz they will save his mother IF they encounter her, so it's not their fault IF they didn't encounter her aka didn't chose that particular node because you chose to save the courier Raman instead. But I do saw a youtuber going to the correct node but just rushed off without checking for optional tasks thus missed the chance to save his mother.
- About the mother and kid in the north... the choice description didn't mentioned the mother and kid, so players sure won't know they can save them by going north first.
I'm mad because I hated the Abyss so much I just charged head on into every combat encounter without even stopping to help the NPC's. I didn't even know our choices mattered and now I feel like an idiot
That was me like this guys asked me to help find his mom and in my head it’s like “she’s prob gone and I need to save more people than 1”
I felt bad about a lot of it even when I already researched long and hard enough before playing (didn't wanna get stressed by the emotional damage).
It was amazing anyways and I don't regret staying till 2 am to finish it😂
Edit : Reading the comments 1991 is not as bad as I thought?! A little relief I suppose even though I made some wrong choices
It's actually really good! I think I got 2100 and I know some people got 5000 or even 6000
well hoyo disappointed us by showing nation of war in 5.0 as pokemons but turned the tables in 5.1. Had the quest informed earlier the npc's life depend on us i wouldnot hav left the game in between and played slowly relaxing 💀. Looks like gotta play all next quests srsly or i will kill innocents unknowingly 😂
No one gives a flying f about npcs
Only dumb guys was disappointed.
Human can get used to any condition. They lived there for many years. They get used to war and they can be happy because it's normal life for them.
Bruhh in this quest my dead count was over 5000, i can't believe how terrible I am . i wasted so much time didn't talk to those npc. It kinda feels bad you know that in my world I lost more npc I can't even do anything to bring those npc back they are literally gone RIP😢
Just like what Niko Bellic had to go through, only this time, the old and bitter gets the last laugh.
Damn. Looks like people here didn’t unlock the golden route where your sibling would help save the areas you didn’t come for…
What a golden route, can you explain it to me?
I gotta scream "For Natlan" and fight the abyss now? 👀
3:38 i lost his mother, even thought we promise to "save" her, if meet her.
and it hit me hard. 😥
I was really tearing up when I was playing the quest. It really reminded me of Infinity War and End Game 😭
First impression: oh wow, there's a surfer village and all these people are pretty chill
Surfer girl: I died already...
No matter what I'll always be satisfied that I save Tepoz mother... Since she is a doctor she could save a lot more behind the scene
I need to know how to get the least amount of casualties.
I left the mother and daughter and I didn't even know. well I feel bad now lmao
What's the best route to minimise the casualties?
Haven't found a guide yet.
i think its to prioritize the medics.
Previous video on this channel shows prioritising the medics results in higher casualties.
in fact, medic only increase the number of victims... they cannot fight and heal the abyss, they have no use. so the death statistics are only growing stronger
More survivor more minimise the casualties, at least 😢
None, embrace them.
This hurts me very much
That end transition got me rolling! LMAO
@@UltramanII Okay. Good to know.
This part of the quest was really good.
I'm glad I haven't played the chapter 5 part 4 throughly yet. Since after knowing that it's gonna be one long archon quest
I used to hope that there is another way to save Chuychu but if seems like it was scripted
The real Fate/Zero moment
I need a summary, so which choice can save the most people???
...... this truly sadden me that i couldn't save everyone...but ...their In a better place now not all times we can save lives
The only thing I regret is actually I rushed to get out the first area as soon as I could so I didn't get to talk to Uturunku to motivate him. I only figured it later when I was checking some websites for alternate dialogue.
I managed to talk with all the other NPCs in other locations afterwards, hoping I didn't miss a single of them.
i kinda panicked and just picked at random what i thought would need my help more
I hate quests where you get multiple options but non feel good.
I'm more of of an person who, when asked which I would hit, people or an tree, say "hit the god dammit break"
It really hurts I couldn’t save the mom considering she’s a doctor but I guess hoyo for one decided to take war seriously unlike Inazuma
The Abyss are gangsters but SUDDENLY ALICE APPEARS!!
I think it’s gonna happen again because it’s similiar to memories in Sumeru and Fontaine’s court battle mechanic
Damn, the end hits like a truck.
Hoyo: time to gacha some NPC lives
NOOO I JUST REALIZED I'M SO FUKING SAD NOW NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I DIDN'T MOTIVATE THE GUY AHHHHHHHHH. At least I could see the mother and son reunited...

@@xoticboi 🤣 I was curious about what would happen if I interact with all of the MPCs And I kind of broke the game 🎮🎯 I went in front of the Dr mpc and then the dialogue started I was also roaming around the area where the purple color Fox was just walking right and left the green color animals were looking at me even though they are lying in one spot however the MPCs were not moving. Sad story 😞 but I was surprised to see so many MPCs at the ending of the story quest 🌟🌟🌟

Genshin truly be impacting us
I couldn't save the mother and daughter, but at least I saved Tepoz's mother, I'm satisfied coz it was his request.
suddenly getting Naruto flashback, where only after Naruto used multi shadow clone the death toll reduced.
Well I think I saved the most I could. Tepoz's mother, Uturunku, the Under Siege people, all the ones from the Children of Echoes and the saurian crew. The mother and daughter and the courier are really painful but I guess... I guess they are just three after all. That's war for ya.
Well, these guy too 1:19 so 4 but yeah, I made the same choices and I don't regret it.
Darn. I didn't noticed it. So I lost alot of natlan people. I can only remember picking any location because I wasn't prepared for the long battle quest. I didn't expect tjat there's such thing like this so I keep going on archon quest event I'm sleepy (planning to stop once the cutscene ends and move to another cut scene but bru, It's too late when I noticed that I'm inside a temporary map(which making me feel like if I leave, the progress will not be saved and I have to start all over again!). I end up playing with the goal finish this asap so I could sleep. Playing straight forward😂😭 until 5am without looking on other details.
It actually does save tho
I dont remember ever saving a baby saurian, but i didnt save that mother and her daughter either
This give me Mass effect or Witcher vibes, your choice actually matter. However I wish they make the difference more prominent, I didn't notice some of the NPC I saved
bruh just like hoyo can’t save me from losing my 50/50 i will never save them
wait you could save npcs?
the choise is yours, basically... when you save NPC in route A, NPC in route B is die
Bro playing as the abyss silibing
I went to save the settlement here 0:53 first so had to abandon the children of echoes area on north.
During my balloon ride to the south, there was a small scene with Paimon where we noticed from afar; Kinich was running & delivering his letters to somewhere. This is before the black abyss appears on the sky.
Is there other such scene where we found playable characters along the way in different paths?
depending on what u choose are the npcs in ur overworld changed?
I saved almost all of them which is good
No joke, i was stuck on one of the platforms of the hot air balloon, and had to witness the NPCs fighting on their some hillichurls burning the field. Once i finally got unstuck, i think i managed to save about one or two of them.
Way to ruin the immersion for me 😒
I am feeling soo bad now after seeing this
I saved more lives in my choices, I saved all of the children of echo guards, I saved the Scions of Canopy group, I saved the group with the dead saurians, and I saved Mayahuel. By count, I saved more lives than making the other choices. However I really felt bad when I knew now that the ones dead are the mother and child after I chose the group with dead saurians. Brooo, I should’ve went for the mother and child 😭😭 but I didn’t know who to save when making the choices 😢 I mean the group with the dead saurians, they are warriors or smth, they could fight and die honorably for Natlan. But the mother and child, are just innocent individuals trapped with no hope under a flooring then they died 😭😭😭 I should’ve went for them instead 😢😢😢
3:31 saved Tepoz's mother
3:37 I don't think I saved him if he's the one where only a baby yumkasaur survived
3:46 saved this mother and daughter
3:49 motivated this guy and I think he survived
3:58 yep there were many ppl in that place
4:02 I don't think I saved them
