My problem with this is to get a really good character You seem to need plug-ins for the plug-ins for the plug-ins and ultimately all this cost well over $1000. I was all set to buy character Creator and headshot the other day until I found out to get what I was looking for. I was gonna have to buy skin gen, the hair plug-in, I clone, wrinkle plug-in and God knows whatever else SMH. If anybody needs a subscription it’s them lol.
exactly. They ain't getting it. You need like a plugin of a plugin of a plugin and it is confusing. Hence why I don't bother even though it looks cool.
All Metahumans look the same, huh? Well, that’s like saying all apples are identical because they’re round and grow on trees. Or that every car’s a clone because they have the audacity to all roll around on four wheels. Sure, the Metahumans all have that conventional two eyes, a nose, some teeth, conveniently placed on the face. Wildly popular design, you know, been trending among us humans for a couple hundred thousand years. But hey, I’ll jot down a note for the Unreal Engine folks. Maybe next time they’ll jazz things up - a few unicorn horns, some peacock feathers for eyebrows. Now that’d be a fashion statement!
@@christiandebney1989 Alright, alright, I get it. The skin tones and teeth, they’re as varied as a 50’s sitcom. It’s like going to Baskin-Robbins and they’ve got one flavor - vanilla. I’m with you on that one. But hold on a sec, have you seen that mesh to Metahuman feature? I mean, come on! That’s like giving a kid a box of Lego and telling them they can build the Eiffel Tower. You can whip up anything from a Greek God to a green goblin and have them spouting Shakespeare in no time. That’s blockbuster stuff right there, pal. And let’s not forget, this isn’t some fancy tech reserved for Spielberg and his buddies anymore. They’re basically handing this stuff out on street corners. It’s like finding a Picasso in your attic - this is high-end, sell-your-grandma kind of tech, and we’re getting it for zilch. So yeah, they might need to add a few more shades of skin and some gnarly teeth options. But in the grand scheme of things? It’s like complaining about the color of a free Ferrari. We’re in the middle of a digital gold rush here, my friend. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.
@@Franckie.G i get it, I own a visual effects studio. I've been working in films for 26 years. You're right it is a gold rush and everything Epic Games are doing I appreciate. However striving to develop better software and having communites give feedback is what causes acceleration in certain areas more than others. Metahuman is ground breaking stuff, the next thing they need to do however is focus on the metahuman presets and improve mesh to metahuman as they end up looking like metahuman. Reallusion does it better with CC4. Epic should focus on it. Until they do that it'll not be used as widely as it should be. Because you can spot a metahuman very easily, because... they all look the same.
ok Snoop, but I thought you were going to highlight HS2 when you brought that snoop model head in. ( 3:51 ) Can't you create the same result with just CC4 without using zbrush?
Headshot 2 wasn't out when this was made but it will take out the need to use the zbrush projection workflow. I will be making a tutorial for headshot 2 soon :)
With hair, do you use toon hair or regular hair? I find that using realistic hair always moves as if it's windy when I transfer my character to Unreal Engine
do you think i sill need to learn z brush if you see now what you can do with the head shot plugin 2 ? or do you think i still need to learn zubrush because i am made snoop dogg to it's on my channel
Running way to fast through these "tutorials" you guys assume everyone is on a professional level for all this. In reality if we were on a professional level we probably wouldn't be as interested in your software. Make it slower and what key functions differentiate it. I personally have CC4 and Headshot and find it very difficult to take a base model in CC4 and turn it into a stylized character without transferring it to Blender. THAT again defeats the purpose of owning your software when i can go on any Modeling Marketplace and buy a character (sometimes more than 1) from a digital marketplace. Sincerely a very upset Reallusion customer.
This is good man.😊 your opinion on headshot 2 plug-in if you will? I currently use Zwrap and Zbrush with CC4 for stylized characters. Have you tried the plug-in and if so, what u think?
I'm planning on making a tutorial for this soon. I've used zbrush and wrap 3d but headshot 2 will make it possible to do the same thing within CC4 which is great.

Its a trap!!!
You are right!!!
And additionally you'll also need ZBrush, which also isn't cheap!
Exactly and I'm too poor to afford it
This video should be titled Tracing An Existing 3D Model
Awesome workflow and out come. Can we have the un-sped-up version of this demo please.
Character Creator, "Zbrush" and Metahuman.
I'm so glad you all added the mesh function to headshot as everyone's metahuman looks hella the same I think you can get more variety with CC4 🤙🏿
What else what else
trouble with metahuman is they all look the same
100% agree with you. You can immediately tell

BRUH, I have never expected this from you guys hahahaha
good work, can you share the accessory chain?
The stylized look is amazing! Didn't see you do any retopo, do you let ZBrush do it, or you prefer doing it manually? Cheers

Amazing work flow how was the hair done for rick
we just used a pony tail from one of the hair packs then duplicated it and adjusted the mesh in zbrush
