You could quantify the MagSafe strength by putting the Nomad MagSafe charger on your scale and seeing how much weight is removed when pulling up on it with different cases.

I don’t know what it is with the official apple leather and silicone cases.. I always try other case brands but somehow I always find myself going right back to my leather and silicone cases from apple🍎 .. 😁🤷🏻♂️
I have the same apple case for my pro and I must say I like the the premium feel of it. The aluminum buttons adds a nice touch. The Nomad case will last longer though, I have one on my Xs and it’s still going strong. The patina turned out really nice. At some point I will be getting the Nomad in English tan
I’ve been using the midnight leather case for well over a month on my 13Pro and I haven’t experienced the same issue with the bottom right corner being easy to pop off like you show. So far I’ve been very impressed with the quality. Your mileage may vary 😊
Sadly i found out the hard way, the phone dropped a few feet, the corners got off and now its all scratched. The apple case does not protect your phone from fall damage.

Nomad last longer in terms of durability so that means you will have longer time getting annoyed everyday of those inaccurate cut outs that just looks cheap for a price that is the same as that of the apple with an official logo, id say they should have those accurate cut outs.:) Id give it to apple for that

Great video. You should also take a look if some cases keep the back the iPhone warm longer. I went back to my old clear case cause the case I was using kept the back warmer.

I switched when apple decreased the quality of their leather for the 12 series, they’re not like they used to be. Looked through dozens (literally) of third party leather cases before settling in on the Aspen.
I just returned the nomad case yesterday. They were so close to getting the buttons right this time. The problem this year was that they fixed the “mushy” and replaces it with “loose.” They wiggled without me pressing on them. So I’m rocking the caudabe sheath until the rebel case drops in about 9more months
Great battle Tee I have the exact 2 cases except for the 12 series. I use to find Apple leather cases so slippery but I’m telling you my black Apple leather case for my 12 pro max is fantastic I love it and it’s definitely my favourite leather case. But I also like my nomad case. Sometimes the tpu rubber around the edge on namad is a love/hate relationship. It all depends how much moisture you have on your hands. If feels great sometimes but then I find it more rigid and corse. I wish it was softer. But the protection and tightness of nomad is better in my opinion. It will take a drop much better then the Apple leather case. But I always go back to the Apple leather case. The more you use it the softer it becomes it really is an amazing case in the hand. How could you not like leather in the hand feels amazing. Apple kills it with there metallic buttons they feel better then the naked iPhone in my opinion. Nomad needs to fix there buttons. I like battle Friday’s it’s a great idea. Have you done a comparison between the caudabe sheath and the caudabe synthesis?
Nomad? YES! it patinas better, feels so leather, looks beautiful and natural. while apple’s looks plasticky and dont patina so well, dunno of they use some strong coating or paint. I have Nomad for 13pro, airpods pro and classic strap for watch, all brown😃👍🏾
I just ordered a mom and modern leather case. I have the Apple leather case, but after 7 months of daily use it the durability has not been acceptable. The case is torn at the buttons on both sides of the case and the leather edges are in bad shape too. I wish Nomad had the same color options as Apple, but if the durability is better, I can live with the brown color over the cherry color.

the quality of Apple leather cases has really gone down. I used to have tan one for my 7 plus, and it developed a unique patina. Got one for my iPhone 12, and I have to say, its not natural leather anymore. The outer layer has peeled off which gives a terrible look. I'm using a UAG metropolis brown leather case, and for my iPad Air 5 (nomad leather case), and they are great.

Love your videos. However, I do not agree that the buttons in Apple Leather case are more tactile than the Nomad ones. I have both cases and I like them both almost the same. But the buttons on Nomad case are way, way more tactile for me.

Yeah it’s better on nomad side tbh. As a person using the apple case my take on it: Buttons on the side feel great and all the cutouts line up Great feel and fit. It’s really snug for me and I have to really put some work taking it out tbh. Not sure gonna scuff the case on the sides or scratches on the side of the phone. Just lack of colour choices compared to the silicone counterpart. Specially with product (red) If u want to get the colour choice get the midnight or cherry red. The rest looks average depends on the colour of ur iPhone. Even the midnight is not even black more of dark blue ish. Drop wise it will scuff but it does the job. I drop it from my bed depending which side of the impact the focus will be on the side more as always compared to the back so I can see nomad doing better on this category. MagSafe just works well with anything. Good compatibility in every MagSafe product itself. I have yet to experience the so call MagSafe ring mark behind the case but if u read apple instruction they already mentioned it will or possibility happen eventually. I do alternate wireless and cable so far so good this past months.

I have had both leather cases, the nomad and the apple and I prefer the nomad waaaayy more because the patina is better and the apple just doesn’t hold up well and falls apart in my opinion. Such a shame because it’s apple you would think it’s better
I love the precision, premium look, case quality from apple’s , but i dislike the high price for sure, and the discoloring issue (some said patina), well that’s really too much disappointment (for me)
I’ve been using nomad cases from iPhone 8, but this year they make a total disappointment (my opinion). Buttons much harder to push , sometimes they STUCK (wtf). And last thing , nomad decided to rip off some soft internal material of plastic bumper.

I got the Nomad black leather and I almost never use cases. But I love this one.
