@@atlasx4189 ah yess... santai => santay => santuy => sans meaning chill out in some places, but aldo means to not do things quickly and do at your pace
That whole thing with "Kuy" reminds me of how Filipinos use the slang "Deins". Deins is a jumbled up spelling of "Hindi" which means "No". But then someone decided to turn that slang into "Scoobs" because Scooby Doo is a Great Dane, and because of that it got related to deins. My brain is melting.
Holy I remember this from a Filipino streamer. Can you remind me of the other stuff? Something like carbs (sounds like carpet) -> a whole new world and some other stuff
Thankfully, my generation (Gen Z) doesn't use that specific slang, but maybe it's because I'm on the younger end of Gen Z, or maybe it's because I don't live in Metro Manila anymore (might come back tho, but in a different city, depending on if I passed the UPCAT and get accepted into either UP Diliman or UP Manila).
That reverse thing to be super slang also works in tagalog Ex: Let's go is "Tara" in tagalog but if you reverse it it's read as "Arat" aslo you can add "S" at the end to make it even more super slang
I love that Indonesians also reverse words lol. Tho, in the Philippines, sometimes it's the syllable order (e.g. _"tigas"_ [hard] -> _"astig"_ [cool]), but we do have words that are completely reversed (e.g. "idol" -> _"lodi"_ [someone you look up to or think is cool])
-(Mika) You're going to love this, trust me. -(Ayo) What you are seeing now is my normal state. -(Yo) This is a Slang. -(Yok) This is a Super Slang. -(Yuk) And this is what is known as a Super Slang that has ascended past a Super Slang/ -(Kuy) AND THIS IS TO GO EVEN FURTHER BEYOND!!! -(Skuy) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! -(Alban) Σ(っ °Д °;)っ
like in my country our slang of "idol" is "lodi" then we wer like who cares about the "i" we like the "s" more and turn it to "lods" for super slang idol > lodi > lods
It's just like that one meme where this dude asked his friend on how to greet people in Japanese and then approached a Japanese girl and basically said that his PP small.
Please give Albanyan another Indonesian language class & teach him food names abbreviations (batagor/ cilok/ cuanki/es doger) 🤣
Then teaching the yabai name food like kue tete, tolpit, kupat jemb*t, etc. 🤣
Please teach him how to speak "Ring" and "Bowl" in Indonesian.
@@awoodentrebuchet6619 Japanese viewers gonna be all like : 🤨
@@owlyeahearly 😂🤣
ALBAN IS TOO ADORABLE AND MIKA IS A GOOD TEACHER INDEED
Yas thats right 🤣
That stream should be preserved in a museum so that future generations can appreciate it. It's genuinely one of humanity most precious treasures
The way Skuy progressed is exactly the same progression as like the progression of my Filipino aunts/uncles’ nicknames
We're evolving
Fun fact: we still have bunch of words that keeps evolving for some reason
that is freaking weird
@@atlasx4189 ah yess... santai => santay => santuy => sans meaning chill out in some places, but aldo means to not do things quickly and do at your pace

Not sure anybody noticed as well but I just love that Mika is floating instead of walking in this little animation.
because she's represented "KUNTILANAK" that's actually means, Indonesian Ghost

okay, starting to feel like this is an ASEAN things.
I have never heard of that term

Why is it that Mika is so unhinged with everyone else but with Alban her voice goes soft and even nurturing like an one-san? 😂
This was one of the most hilarious streams, Mika has a gift as a teacher and Alban is a great student.
Why can’t language classes be this entertaining?
This is even funnier and more uncomfortable if you know Indonesian

Well, its good and all that they are learning slangs but its probably not the best idea if you're traveling in Thailand and uses 'kuy' as a hip word.
This is evolution at its finest.
as a fellow indonesian this is the first time i saw "titit" spelled with a d
