Seeing those critters always brings a smile to my face. That might change one day when they are 5m tall and armed and we have to fight them in the inevitable robot uprising, but for now, I think they are cute :3

It looks like you have gaits with 5, 4, and 3 feet on the ground at a time. Would it be possible to do a 2 foot ripple gallop? I imagine you might need some much more complicated controls for that, since it wouldn't be inherently stable anymore.
What If I want to get into this hobby? I live in Russia and have 18 ax-12a servos. I initially bought them for a robot arm, but was not satisfied with how raspberry pi controls them. So what controller and/or learning materials would you suggest

Looks great! Which servos did you use? In my project I used SG90 9G and my (4 legged) spider ended up being shaky.
now make one with 8 legs and cover it in fur and then make it run at people, bonus point if you somehow make it crawl on the wall or ceiling
