Ah, thanks for taking this as your supporter for this vid! I had wanted to check this out and totally forgot about it. The card party system reminds me of moonstone island.
Quick note, the paste I was showing (and the rental code during team breakdown) was a slightly outdated version. The correct rental is YRQ990 and the new paste has some bulk on Archaludon, Ghost Tera on Incineroar, and offensive Ninetales!

Hey guys, online regulation H VGC here, and today I’m back with another episode of providing live commentary as I go where I climb Aaron Cybertron Zheng in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
You are by far my favorite caster, when it's both you and Rosemary as a duo the match immediately looks so much more interesting. It's not that the others are bad, you two are just GREAT. Cheers from Chile ❤
This is amazing! I've been watching your videos for 10 years and this is an honor and an accomplishment to be a part of the video! thank you for using my team its a pleasure to be playing this game but being a part of this community for a decade. Thank You Cybertron :)
Are you sick, Aaron? If so, feel better soon 💖 And definitely take a break from videos if you are. I'm pretty confident that I speak for the majority of us that we're fine with you taking a break
I like Gliscor a lot, really fun to see it do some work in VGC with tools that it normally doesn't use in other formats! QOTD: Buffing Gliscor is kind of hard, since while it's generally nothing special in Doubles it tends to be among the top Pokémon in Singles (You might say they don't balance for Singles, but Gliscor is also really strong in the 3v3 in-game ladder format, which I think they care at least a little bit about). Therefore, an elegant buff should be something that's good in Doubles but that doesn't really affect Singles. One kind of crazy option would be Rage Powder: It's a Bug move, and Gliscor is kind of bug adjacent in design, so it's not the most impossible move for it to get. It might almost be kind of broken though, Gliscor could become immune to all status conditions with Toxic Orb and then redirect any status inflicting move into itself without any negative effects. It also isn't really the sort of Pokémon they typically would give this move to, so perhaps giving it a move like Helping Hand might be a more reasonable Doubles buff to go with.
Follow Me would probably more thematic for Gliscor, especially as Gligar is already protrayed as a bit of a troll pokemon. Wide Guard is also another option, being a rock type move and Gliscor being the rock adjacent ground type
@@bclxprss Maybe so! Although Follow Me tends to be even more sparingly distributed than Rage Powder, and its Japanese name (Stay With This Finger) and animation seems to indicate having fingers might be required to get it (Togekiss being the only exception I believe). I love the suggestion of Wide Guard, that move is already learned by Pokémon like Kingler and Crabominable who have claws like Gliscor, and both Gligar and Gliscor tend to be depicted with all their limbs spread wide as well. I think that would be a very fitting move for it to learn!
They could just leave it alone. Not every pokemon needs to be relevant in both formats, having it relevant in one is good enough. Adopting the mindset of having it relevant in both would lead to a higher chance of broken OP pokemon imo
It's my birthday today, and I wasn't sure what I was gonna watch next after the PokéSports video for today, thanks for always uploading and being amazing. I also enjoyed the commentary for the recent VGC tournament this past weekend.
I theory crafted a bunch of gliscor sets earlier in the reg because the toxic orb set is really good into Sneasler but Tera ice hyper cutter is extremely clever, never would have occurred to me. Also being immune to intimidate makes it a really good coaching candidate, like a few other very niche mons.
Man im addicted to your content, i cant even work properly without listening your commenting and idk its always wort a small picture in picture on the bottom of my screen
Buffing Gliscor without traumatizing Singles players too bad is an interesting thought... one way is to give it doubles utility that doesn't matter in singles, such as giving it Coaching, but I think a more interesting option is to buff Hyper Cutter, maybe in addition to its current effects, it also boosts Slicing Moves by 30% and allows Cut to hit twice or something. I don't think there's any Hyper Cutter pokemon that that would break.
Take care of your health! ☕️🍲 Thanks for giving it your all over that BONKERS weekend of shoutcasting. Great video as usual, of course. I love seeing Gliscor in VGC. QOTD: Gliscor is still good in singles, so it's scary to imagine buffing it. But I think giving it Coaching would buff its bulky Poison Heal set.
I know Dual Wingbeat has a lot of utility in the current format, but I do still like running a Swords Dance Sitrus Berry Gliscor set with Acrobatics. This set can also run Protect or Tailwind. I like the utility so I can pivot my lead without having to switch or uturn
Hey guys, Aaron Cybertron Zheng here, and he’s back with another episode of Road to Ranked, where he climbs the online Regulation H VGC ladder in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and provide live commentary as he goes.
Battled ChefRich in topcut in another online tournament with this exact team, and it was so hard for me because of how annoying Vivillon was and I can't slow down the Gliscor either. Can't even grass tera in front of it to dodge Sleep Powder because of the double flying coverage. I went to a lot of situations where I need to get a call right to win. Was not expecting Gliscor to be that threatening, definitely a force to be reckoned with! QOTD: Maybe buff Hyper Cutter to make cutting moves double hit moves with 60% power each hit
hey Aaron! i don't leave comments very often, but just want to say that if you are sick (or if anything happened at all), i hope you get better soon! much love from brazil :D
QOTD I’d buff gliscor by giving it haze, bulk up and roost, plus 5 in hp/spdef up to base 80 That’s about all, it’s not too bad. Maybe dragon dance but could be busted
It gets access to Haze and Freeze Dry (good for Dondozo), Icy Wind, and is a levitate partner for Garchomp's Earthquakes! Ice types are fairly strong offensively in regulation H at the moment, Cryogonal also has a base speed stat of 105 which is fairly high all things considered. Not to mention it gets access to Ice Shard, Sheer Cold and Recover!
I’m sure y’all get this question a lot, but I’m brand new to Pokemon from a VGC point of view but would y’all say a good way to start building a competitive team is first look at the current meta, and then figure out possible counters for teams built using a meta based team core? And then how in the world do you decide your team if you don’t know what Pokemon you’re competing against? Am I wrong in saying there’s no consistently perfect team?

That's a very thoughtful answer. I like the rage powder idea!
honestly, Rage Poweder and HH is probably a great way to make it better in doubles without messing around with the singles side of competitive.

This set up is simple and straight forward, actually a very good team for newbie in competitive match loke me
