Thank you all for supporting my channel this year. These new ADAM A7V have made a statement here at my home studio. Check them out here: imp.i114863.net/2rDkeQ
Hi Archie. Thanks for the awesome review! After having gone through every option imaginable (PA speakers, studio monitors, even hifi tower speakers!), I'm down to the Adam A7V and the Kali IN8 V2. I'm NOT a producer. The monitors will be used 50% for my digital piano/microphone setup and 50% for music listening in my living room. I will probably use my Rokkit 10S sub with whichever monitor I buy. I'd really appreciate your input. I've heard good things about the IN8 V2 3-way. Thanks!
I purchased a pair of A7V monitors on the week they came out for my studio. Last week one monitor just stopped working and now the second one rattles for some reason. I only used them for 5 months, never mixed loud and they were just on their stands. They're really good speakers and sound amazing but I'm not sure how reliable they are. I contacted Adam Audio but said I needed to resolve the issue with the dealer/distributer. Too bad the distributor didn't give me any replacements or a new one.
I just got the Adam A7V monitors tonight. I bought my first set of monitors a little over a year ago. I had a set of Kali LP6. The Kali were ok, but when I plugged in a played the A7V for the first time I BLOWN away! Huge Upgrade! Couldn't be happier or more impressed.
I'm still using my original Event Bi amped 2020's. I have never used anything else so I guess what I like about them the most is ther overall sound quality and replication and how I am accustomed to their sound. (Basically I trust what I hear).
Honestly, yes. There's something happening in the upper midrange that wasn't in the previous model. It's more detail. I hope this helps. Awesome upgrade if you go for it!
Archie - thanks for your review. You've earned a new subscriber. I am planning on buying these for a small (currently) untreated office that is roughly 2 x 3 meters, and using them for listening to music (I am not producing music....yet). Listening distance will be 1 - 1.5 meters, on-axis. (1) Is this overkill? I am trying to avoid using passive speakers that are less forgiving of placement, and (2) If I listen to rock, jazz, and hip-hop, will I get enough bass out of these?
They are popular but I put them up against my Genelecs and though my rig where a bit more true, but my ear has grown accustomed to those boxes and they are tuned well
@@archiebeatz awesome. What interface do u think I should use for atmos. Apogee symphony is killer but $$$$$! Focusrite have options. Avid matrix is spendy to. Duante is dope though
Hi Archie Beatz, how would you compare the Adam A7V with the Neumann KH 80 that you have, sonically and in your workflow? Thanks and keep up with the good work!!
KH80 has been proven better. If you pair it with the KH750 it actually beat out the KH310. See audio science. The bundle price for all three is the best deal of any studio monitors: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/KH80SubMicBun--neumann-monitor-alignment-kit-3-kh80-kh750-2.1-dsp-powered-studio-monitor-and-ma1-microphone-bundle
There are good. But the A4V has a severe dip around 1K due to port cancellation. The A7V is not suppose to have this issue. A guy posted a Picture on Audio Science. He made identical cabinets out of solid wood. I suspect he may have screwed up the response doing so.
@Mihalyofficial, I like the Adam Monitors more. I now monitor on a pair of T8Vs and one T5V in mono. My Eris pair served me well for 5 years. I enjoyed them, but monitoring low-end was difficult for me.
I just brought them and compared them with the Focal, Neumann KH120A and II, with and without calibration. I have to admit that they do sound great and you cannot go wrong with. I ended up with the Neumanns, since they sounded more flat, full (esp. mids), better stereo imaging. The transients sound better on the Adam’s though.
What makes you say that? Many of my favourite producers have used adam a7xs to produce their tracks and through out the years they've gained a good reputation (afaik). Would these be worse than the a7x?
@@Lt_Lobster First of all, it's a personal taste. But I think the A7V sounds too separate. Of course you can work with these boxes and create good productions or mixes. I can't judge A7X, never worked with it. I use APS Klasik 2020 and they show me everything that has to sound good in the mix. The lowmids are in a different league. I find the A7V very good for mix checking and auditioning for clients. This is just my personal opinion and experience. rock on

I'm in love with my t7v. Eventually, I will get these.

I’ve read reviews stating the same thing.
What dealer did you purchase them from?
Any update ?

I just brought these today!!! Oh man all these positive reviews of the A7V's has got me broke!

My 1978 ESS amt-1b home speakers used second gen amt tweeters and they were amazing back then, the newer X-ART versions have the same gee wiz factor.
Thanks. Any details on the differences in sound vs your previous set?
I plan to upgrade from the A77x to the A77h.

I use the Old Adam A7, looking to potentially upgrade, but I invest so much time with my old Adam a7 than I am afraid to switch.
I am in the same boat. Did you end up upgrading??
@@Darrin.Crawford I did I got the IK Multimedia ILOUD Precision MTM Monitor i like the fact that I can calibrate the speakers to my room.

Hello!
I have an Adam A7X speaker. Is it worth changing to Kali LP6 V2 or IN 8V2? Which one sounds nicer, clearer?
Are u getting into Atmos and spacial ? Would love to hear your thoughts.
Yes, I am for sure! I will update everyone within the next month or so. Getting my setup going 🙌🏾

i used adam but neumann is next level bro
Just Set mine up yesterday doing the Burn in with Adam's A-Sound I don't see to many pro users speaking on this.
im looking to upgrade within a week. Im using the KRK Rokit 8 G4
These are definitely a safe upgrade for sure. What are you mainly using your monitors for? Mixing, production and/or recording?
@@archiebeatz music production.
Can you set the static IP address of an speaker or only DHCP? Tnx!
Bro I am up against the wall trying to decided, should I get these or the A7X model ? Which ones would you suggest ?

these any good for mixing/mastering?
These or the t8vs are insane , I have the t8vs with the Adam sub and I haven’t set it because of all the bass in the speakers alone
Hi. I'm really keen on getting those T8V units. Really glad you like them because I would hate to invest in something that isn't going to work.

Kali Audio IN-8 V2
Amazing 🥵
Hi. Right now I use Presonus Eris e5 mk1. I'm aiming for a pair Adam Audio T8V. Congratulations on getting the new A7V.
Are the adams better than the presonus?

Using krk v6. I dig them and they look sexy.
i got the v6 as well but i found they miss low mids what do you think ?
I have the jbl 307
T5v but hopefully the a7v one day.

Are these new a7v better than Yamaha hs7
This or genelecs
Yamaha HS8
Lp6
Nice!
I like them but they are definitely 2D in terms of imaging.
they aren't good monitors, for listen maybe, but not for mixing!!!

Do you think KRK 8”s are good studio monitors or would you prefer HS8s? As the main monitors ?
