Heya, Johnny! This is an actual continuation of the 90s series -- preserving the animation style, continuing the story where it left off, and even trying to get back as many of the original voice actors -- really making the next season of the show as it would have come out in 1997. It's one of the smartest ideas Marvel's had, in my book! Can't wait to see this classic era of X-Men again, with comics-accurate costumes and all. I really hope it'll be done right. I heard that a prerequisite for the writers to be involved in this project is that they had to respect the original animated series -- which is awesome and encouraging to hear! In my view, too many classic franchises have been damaged (even ruined) because they were put in the hands of people who didn't care for the source material, and so they didn't understand why the fandom fell in love with these characters and stories. March can't come soon enough! I hope you and Jeremiah'll get to react to some episodes when they drop!
I think it's funny they used 90's characters and their design/costumes with 70-80's scenarios from Chris Claremont :D The pilot (Pryde of the X-Men) featured X-Men characters and costumes from 80's (Kitty, Diablo, etc...) :)
