Brilliant! I saw someone upload them playing this live. I was hoping they would in Austin, but no such luck. Hopefully they’ll get this up on streaming soon, I’d love to hear this in high quality. But man I’m jealous. Only way to get the record is VIP? I’d totally have done that if they came to Houston but couldn’t make it in time in Austin. And maybe it’s just me, but song has some serious Ween vibes, which is cool since Modest Mouse and Ween are two of my top three bands.
:O I really enjoy these experimental one-offs. They could put out weird one-offs and EPs instead of albums from now on and I'd be totally fine with it. Or maybe dig up the fabled tracks they cut with Krist Novoselic forever ago.
sounds kinda mid to me. I love most of the songs on 'Long Drive,' 'Lonesome Crowded West," "Moon and Antarctica,' 'Good News,' and 'We were dead,' and I like half the songs off of 'Strangers to Ourselves,' but it does kinda feel like Modest Mouse is running out of their creative sparks lately. I'd still love to go see them live a second time for all their classic songs though.
