@@danpop1714 Well I must be soulless then. He never had what it takes to be in F1 anyway and was taking a seat from someone who could bring skill and value to the team. I would feel more sympathetic if he shown more Grace when he was cut and said something about the people dying under his nations’ war instead of crying that the action to cut him was ‘unilateral’….which is rich with irony because that is the same thing that their army is acting with…unilateral impunity. And after getting a scoop on Season 4 of DTs, he was horrible to Mick and the team and threatened to pull out funding if Mick didn’t have to share pieces of his car…the price for Russian sponsorship…bullies as ever.
When you add his off track behavior…NO. His funding dried up and after that only his ‘Value Added’ could save him, and he brought no Value Added. It was a business decision when his funding dried up and LIKE ANYONE ELSE, only his Value Added could save him. Do you think Max, Lewis, Seb, or anyone else is there without adding Value? Yes…Latifi and Stroll are pay drivers and perhaps if they lost the funding to pay for their seat they would be on the chopping block too…but at that point the team would look at their own Value Added. This is as things should be.
Seb's helmet is so iconic at this point. It's such a simple design but I'll be damned if it's not a joy to see.
I'm glad the sponsors work so elegantly on it too.

Also, its interesting how the guy with the most excentric designs back in the day (his redbull time) came up with the most elegant and simpler one on the grid.
Nothing but facts
It's kind of ironic considering Seb used to change his helmet design every race until they forced him to pick something and stick with it.
The greatest part about Seb's helmet is that it's become so iconic, it doesn't even have to be a German flag stripe on a white helmet. It can be any colored stripe, featuring any number of colors, on any color of any background design on a helmet. But so long as the stripe goes down the right side, that's a Seb helmet. We've seen pink stripes on a pink helmet. We've seen rainbow stripes on a grey gradient helmet. We've seen pink stripes on a white helmet. We've seen rainbow stripes on a black and pink helmet. We've seen blue stripes on a pink helmet. We've even see a red stripe on a red helmet for his Niki Lauda tribute helmet and grey stripes on a grey helmet for his final race with Ferrari.
When Charles designed his Seb tribute helmet, he did a similar thing with stripes down the right side but in the colors of the Monaco flag. And you can still recognize that the design was clearly influenced and inspired by Seb.
Remove the color and it's still recognizable as a Seb helmet. Phenomenal design.
Leclerc's helmet also has the most sneaky integration of national (Monaco) flag from all of the helmets, and it works incredibly well. It just feels like an integral part of the design, and it took me a few seconds to even notice that it is hidden there in plain sight.

It’s just really nice. The matte black wings with the lime green highlights, the gloss green and the Canadian flag….It’s just sharp

Right? That’s pretty cool. I love the content Tommo puts out, but I definitely do not agree with everything he thinks….probably because i have been watching F1 since before he was born🤷♂️
Yeah ...I like it too I think it deserves higher. The physical helmet design reminds me of dark stormtrooper. And the dark metallic green 💚 looks dope.
As soon as I saw Valtteri's lid, my first thought was "I love this helmet." And my second thought was "I bet Tommo hates it." 😂

The Sebastian Vettel helmet is now up there with the most iconic helmets of all times. I hope it soon regains it's status of terror in his competitor's visors, go Seb!
Absolutely
The three drivers I cheer for are Seb, Max and Lando. To me they are the most genuine drivers on the grid and this is why. Wouldn’t it be fabulous to see Seb able to go for 5?!
His helmet goes with my feeling that they should calm down a little in the design of these things. Make a clear, genuine, statement instead of a zillion things.
Seb's is easily the most iconic to me. I've only been closely watching the sport since 2019, but that helmet just does everything right for me.

As a Danny Ric fan and a fan of his helmets, I don’t love this helmet as much as I did the others, but I really enjoyed it because it kinda blends in with the car and that’s a really nice touch to have on track. His is my favorite, alongside with Seb’s and Charles’.

Fernando's Helmet looks like his Championship winning car in 2005-06
his colours are because asturias flag (a region in spain where he is from)

Seb's helmet is goat IMO, it simply doesn't get more iconic than that. Nikita's helmet would actually make an awesome Ferrari helmet this year but of course, we won't be seeing it.
How does it not get more iconic than that? Not even as iconic as Alonso’s helmet, let alone the helmets of Schumacher, Senna, Prost, etc.
I really like VB's design this year, very unique.
9:40 I think Alonso's is more iconic because that colour scheme has been translated onto some of the cars he's driven as well as the FA Karts branding
Exactly, the most recognisable one.
It's actually the colours of the flag of his hometown, Asturias. Coincidentally these also became the colours of Mild Seven Renault R25 and R26, the two cars with which fernando won his two championships.
The big thing for Leclerc's helmet is the recognition from the T-cam. When we're looking at the onboard camera of a Ferrari I always think "Is that Charles or Carlos? Ah, it's Charles, I can see the Monegasque flag." Recently I've been able to do this with more drivers as I've memorised what their helmets looked like, but I've been able to do it with Ferrari from basically race 1.
Hamilton's purple helmet is absolutely stunning and it will 100% be seen as iconic in decades time

Btw, to the best of my knowledge 'Red Bull Racing' aren't sponsoring Alex Albon now that he has a permanent contract at Williams. To get the seat at Williams, Mercedes insisted that he was completely released from his RBR contract, so Alex is no longer part of the 'RBR team' in any way.
However, Red Bull have considerable Thai-based investors who own the Thai image rights for Red Bull (Red Bull was actually created after Dietrich Mateschitz drank a Thai energy drink on holiday once, and then came back to Austria and started Red Bull), so Alex is sponsored by these Thai investors who are (obviously) based out of Thailand and sponsor Alex due to his Thai nationality and heritage.
TLDR; Albon is sponsored by Red Bull investors from Thailand rather than being sponsored by Red Bull Racing (Helmut Marko & co).
You are right about the sponsorship, but he is absolutely still a RBR driver. He has a 1 year contract, with possible extension that is decided by red bull. They can get him back after this year of they want.
Red Bull is based from Thai energy drink Krating Daeng and Krating Daeng owner also has the majority of the Red Bull stakes

Hadn’t seen stroll’s helmet before, the sides of the visor are really cool. Looks closest to something you’d wear in a spaceship
Max's Spa helmet might be my favourite ever. It should really be his permanent helmet.
First of all, thank goodness Seb has his old helmet back. The pink one just did not work for me at all.
As for the GOAT, I think i have to go with Hamilton's on this one though. Just like Seb's, it's the kind of design you'll still recognize 10 years from now. But the colour combination just sells it for me. I know from personal experience that not everyone can pull off purple, so respect to Hamilton for that. :D

Top shout on Leclerc, he's my favourite driver, now finally he has a helmet I don't hate.
I'd generally rate both Red Bulls and Russell's helmet worse for looking indistinguishable from their teammates. You'll never mistake Stroll for Vettel or Latifi for Albon, but both Red Bulls have white helmets and both Merc's are black.
How is George’s lid indistinguishable from Lewis’ wot
For me I absolutely love the pastel colours of danny rics helmet and hamiltons is just beautiful so thats my favourite two

Really liking Seb's helmet. The white base is also a great nod to his home country as Germany's sporting teams always use white in refference to Prussia.

I'm relatively new to your videos and i just want to say that i really like the design and flow of them. Good font design, nice transitions, well put together and very 'human' commentary. Also love the redesign vids! Keep up the good stuff.

They change their helmets, way too much. Earlier I used to like it now I feel it's bit childish to keep changing it every season.

Vettel's classic white with the German stripe is my favorite...
I also love the special helmets he does, because most of the times, it is not flashy, but a very subdued tribute that incorporates his standard design perfectly.
Sainz's Ferrari helmets are top tier for me, even though I am a massive Leclerc fanboy. And Zhou's is a welcome surprise in P2 for me. The 3 I have in Disgusting are Bottas, Stroll and Ocon.

I really like Stroll's helmet, it reminds me of Mass Effect/has space faring science fiction vibes, it looks really cool and futuristic imho. Definitely GOAT tier.

Alonso’s 2016 Singapore helmet is definitely my all time favorite. The shine under the lights was incredible
Carlos Sainz helmet is honestly a bit disappointing compared to past versions. My favourite helmet of his is actually the 2019 version. Metallic silver background with the maclaren brush and the spanish flag going around the back of his helmet, simply classy. I don't know why he went on another colour palette but yeah.
Danny Ric's is like an old school skateboard design, I love it.
the color palette of fernandos helmet is simply beautiful. but I also think that a flat design like he had last year suits the helmet better as there‘s a little bit too much going on with the new one. however the colors are definitely top tier
I like the fact that Micks helmet is an homage to his father with the seven stars on the top and the suttle nod on the side with keep fighting. Plus its also a very nice color pattern.
Sebs helmet should be in the Goat tier by now its just iconic for me and just plain brilliant.
Truly thought we were gunna see the "mazegoat" prophecy fufilled, however like his off track life he fell at the last hurdle

My favorite lid has been the one-off Russell helmet that had the Men's Butts Discount sponsorship at Monaco last year.

Good final choice, when I saw him wearing it on the first pictures in Barcelona, I instantly thought it looks crazy good and honestly top tier, especially in that Ferrari.

The white print on sergios helmet is aztec art, its iconic in mexico for sergio to represent our ancestors on f1 through the aztec art.
Looks like Bottas' helmet took inspiration from Hungary last year

The detail of Zhou's and the representation in his helmet deserves to be goat in my opinion the only other one that matched the detail was albons.
Not a massive Stroll fan but his helmet design (last year’s more so IMPO) is one of the most gorgeous designs I’ve seen in a while.
Checos Monaco Pedro Rodriguez tribute helmet is one of the sickest helmets i've seen through out the years.
Charles's helmet has a lovely shade of red, i love this helmet so much. Simple, but just beatiful.

The stripes on Bottas helmet makes it look like a bowling ball, making bottas look like he has a bowling ball for a head haha.
I gotta go with Bottas man, just perfect in MY OPINION. Its pretty simple, nice colours, that goes well together and pays homage to both Finland and Alfa Romeo. It has some details that really does it for me. Makes it more intersesting yet it doesent get messy at all.
The Red Bull on Alex' helmet is not from Red Bull Racing but from Red Bull Thailand. Its his personal sponsor.
I don't think so. If you're talking about Krating Daeng (OG Red Bull), they only sponsor few football teams not Albon.

My favorite is Lando's always been. Riciardo's helmet to my opinion is Dasgusteng and I agree Charles for the 1st time looks really good
There is a bit of a gradient on Charles‘ helmet. Look above the visor where the ferrari logo is. It’s a bit of a darker red. I like it

I really dig that Vettel has the three stripes not centered and is just slightly off-axis. If the stripes would be exactly in the middle it would be boring as hell, but just that small change really does it for me.
mazepin's helmet designs are always on point since F2 tbh, his designer is goated!
Since we wont be seeing any of him, his designer should be awarded to Sainz

I really love Hamilton’s helmets back in 2012! It was mostly the same but had something special at almost every GP that represents the Country.
