Thank you - I wanted to draw a simple whimsical semi - realistic fox to paint with water colour and copied a drawing I found but it ended up more like a Fey/Faery creature proportions all off. So I then had a little more success drawing from a real life photo of a fox but wasn't sure how to do the fur. Your tutorial really helped and also gave me extra pointers regarding the eyes and nose. Now am in the middle of my third drawing. You have given me the confidence to draw a few more practise eyes and fox noses for myself and not be too lazy about the time it takes. The first time I drew a realistic tiger following Johnathan Harris, it took me several days because i could only draw for 20 mins at once (total 3 hours to complete). I have gotten more used to drawing from photos, not my own unfortunately, but tutorials like your own are really helpful teaching me how to go about capturing a realistic look. Your tips on how to do the fur in the ears was great too - think I need to do another tiger as the fur in his ears looks a bit naff. I see that you have a tiger tutorial too - wonderful. Love all the realistic tutorials that you do and must watch your Bumble Bee drawing - just seen that at the cinema. Especially good to see that you don't need a huge amount of supplies, just 2 pencils, a paper stump and a fine point eraser. Sorry for the long comment - been given negative feedback before about writing a 'bible' but as a 54 year old lady - can I say how wonderful it is that young people like yourself are using You Tube to teach us oldies things that they never bothered to teach us at school. Education was a bit slap dash in the 70s! Thanks once again for all your hard work. I am subscribed and gave you a Like of course.

Yet another excellent tutorial from you, I love watching your tutorials and do try to follow along with them where I feel able, as a total novice some are harder to follow than others, but the knowledge you share is perfect for learning. Please keep on doing some tutorials for the beginners to follow, not everyone is of sufficient ability to pay for lessons / tutorials, I myself would love to get to the standard to pay for the tutorials. Hi Chris I really appreciate your tutorials when I copy your drawings they don't look like a small child's drawing and being as I'm in my sixties that's a good thing. I have a mono zero eraser but it don't seem to work like yours. The lines are much thicker and when I try to do light strokes it does not come out well. I must either doing it wrong or I am using the wrong thing. The fox is greatly the way, as is all your stuff. Thanks so much for giving me some idea with what I am doing. Pat
This kind of art is my favourite to do myself and wow, I adore your fox. I’m trying to build the courage to attempt this. Personally I need some of the bits a little slower so I can follow easily but I understand why you’ve done it this way. Are mechanical pencils best for this type of work? Or will my graded pencils do? I’m totally stalling by typing this, because I want to get it right, which makes me procrastinate lol Please do more of these and consider creating some step by step tutorials online maybe, but I see your process is such that it wouldn’t make it very fun for you. Either way, possibly my favourite drawing video so far! Stunning. Thanks for the upload 🙂

I don't understand how you were able to make the edge of the eyes jet black as though you used a marker... but with only a HB mechanical pencil?? Please explain.
