    I'm REALLY proud that my little bird friend is outside now, I just set him free 2 days ago, he was a baby bird that fell just in our house, we decided to let him stay for a time, we noticed that he wanted to go outside, my mother decided to let him be free, I cried so hard that night, but then I said " If I REALLY love him, I have to let him be happy" and well.. I think he is now happy with his family 🐥❤️

    My grandpa kept a dog in a cage for two years. The dog looked very sad everytime he would see us come out the house. I tried to tell my grandpa he didnt listen. I was a child at the time. Animals do have feelings. Unfortunately the dog died never having freedom. My grandpa had a pet parrot, my grandpa had the bird caged up as well. My grandpa would speak to the bird. The bird seemed annoyed. Eventually the bird died too. 😢😢😢. Im thinking back on these memories and it hurt 😢😢😢

      Pet birds do not belong in the wild, they don't have the skills to survive in the wild. Releasing your captive bred parrot in the wild will only result in its death; either by starvation, a predator attack, too cold temperatures and many more.

    • @pricklypear1704
      @pricklypear1704 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just like nightmare creature said, never ever release a pet bird into the wild. Birds in cages can actually be very happy, if they have a good owner that takes them out daily, plays with them, and gives them a roomy cage with lots of toys. Sodapets, a TH-camr I watch, has very good bird care for her rescued cockatiels. I suggest you check it out, it may change your mind. :)

They let the dove free in their room and it does have perches all over the room and a cage but the cage is always left open unless the bird gets excited or it its night time. The dove's name is chicken and she's super sweet and landed on my head since she can fly. The only downside to letting your bird free in a room and only putting it in a cage at night is you need to cover all ur stuff in sheets to prevent bird poop from getting on it

    This is why my birds only are in their cage when I’m out of the room. (I’m like always in my room.) so they have access to the whole place. Also, I rescued them from a dumpster. 😢😫 Those poor babies.

    😐 you understand that the bird I have (is a budgie) is bred to not be able to survive in the wild, wild buggies are green wile domesticated ones are blue, violet, white, and other colors. If a blue budgie live in the wild it would be killed and eaten

    I used to raise doves and eventually they became pretty much wild we would bring them in at night and during the mornings we would let them fly around all day, and if they wanted to come in for the night they could but it was completely up to them they were really happy and honestly I know that there life was really good, kind of annoying that your making it seem like all people who buy birds lock them in cages and make them go insane

    it depends, id you are just gonna have the bird inside the cage all day for years on end that's abuse, but if you let it free a couple times a day and do more than just giving it food and water, its a good pet :D

      True. Peta is right about this and how petsmart and petco are horrible places to purchase animals. But I still think it’s ok to buy animals from a good trusted local breeder not a big chain pet store.

    Yes but few disabled birds need attention, so we can take care of them.

    I’m sorry for those out there but I have to say this peta is a useless foundation if you want to go to a different conservation site or group please do more animals die faster and are in terrible conditions on these peta farms. These birds are also living the best life they possibly can they do have to fight for food or water and they don’t have to worry about predators sure some birds are abused but there are groups out there that help these birds out and give them better lives. But those birds that are in a good home couldn’t be happier trust me I have a parakeet and he loves me and other people I go outside with him and he does not fly away. Not only those that are vegan you are not getting the right amount of protein and nutrients from eating nothing but plants and those who say well plants don’t feel pain they have nerve endings and do feel pain. Not only this our bodies are made for eating meat when we where hunter gatherers at some points the only thing we would eat was meat so you can argue with me on this but when you do actual research and don’t just think like a caveman you will abandon peta and go to a different organization
