The red lever mentioned under the cup holder is not the hand brake release , it is to release the transmission for tow recovery as the vehicle goes into park as soon as the ignition is turned off

No problem Simon, oddly enough the owners hand book doesn’t appear to mention the lever , I recently had to recover a 2010 tdv8 with 8 speed auto and what I found is the electric handbrake comes on when ignition is switched off so to bypass this I pulled the fuse on the handbrake but transmission was still locked in park so pulled this lever and then it became free , the symbol on the lever indicates a brake mechanism but It did unlock the transmission 😊

Hi, I have a L322 2011 and would like to change the head unit. Most videos strip the dash from the sides and the top on previous models. But mine the top is padded with 'leather" and there is no access to screws. Would you strip the center console instead? Thanks for your work!

Can you take out the stick shifter in the 2010 and replace with this rotary style gear selector?

Hi - i dont think this would be an easy swap - the old style stick shift has a level that selects reverse etc

@Hussain Mubarak The Supercharged/V8 Petrol engine has the gearshift stick, the diesel's had the rotary I think.
