Happy Sunday! Today on DIY Designer, we're going to be making the MOST festive holiday outfit that you can rock at home this season! This tinsel, no-sew look only takes 5 MINUTES to create! All you need is fabric glue, tinsel, and a skirt! I even created cropped tinsel-hemmed pants. This DIY is SUPER easy & customizable. I can't wait to see what y'all create! If you're buying the JoAnn's option: don't cut the lines of fringe unless you want bigger spacing! Just fold back the netting to the length desired and then tuck the fold towards the skirt and tack in place if desired. The colored netting actually helps make the fringe pop more, plus when you roll it for the top of the skirt it can create a much nicer, finished edge. And it's easier to pin down your layers with netting attached and check how the fringe drapes when worn compared to taking a guess close up. If you're ever photographed wearing your creation it's not going to be from the perspective of gluing on the fringe, it's going to be at a distance. That applies to pretty much every garment construction and/or alteration projects.
Bigger construction note: a few tack stitches would really be all this needs and it goes faster that waiting for glue to dry or going back and cutting little bits caught in glue. Plus, you can snip those tacks and reuse that skirt for something else should the need ever arise making it far more eco-friendly than the fast fashion approach of glue, wear, and toss.

That skirt looks great and the flat iron makes it look as advertised.
The skirt might also look good with some kind of silvery sash to hide the zipper. It would tie to one side over the zipper
