I'm so glad you did this. It made me realize that I also seem to gravitate towards nonfiction and I was able to create a great list to use next time I'm at the library. I might even do a monthly book list as well.
I LOVE Disciplines of a Godly Woman. I have had it for years. I might have to re-read it this year. I can’t schedule specific books to months because for some reason if I assign it then I get defiant about following my plan. 😂 So I just keep a TBR list. 🤷🏻♀️
Great list! Tactics, Mama Bear #2, and Good Energy are on my list for 2025. I didn’t know Natasha Crain had a new book coming out. I just read Faithfully Different and it was excellent! I am working my way through that C. S. Lewis collection currently. I would recommend Screwtape Letters over Miracles. Happy reading!
Great idea! I have so many books I have been wanting to read but I can hardly find the time to read. I think choosing a book a month might work! I’m so excited to Creat my 2025 booklist! Thank you for this video!
The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry is such an amazing and important book. I reread it often to remind myself to slow down. If you’re looking for fiction books, I highly recommend The Atonement Child and Redeeming Love, both by Francine Rivers. Both are amazing Christian stories.
I want to focus on fiction this year too, so that I can focus on praying through the Bible for my kids. The fiction I plan to read is Little Women, the Out of Egypt series by Connilyn Cossette, the Michigan Northwoods series by Serena Miller. I might read a couple historical fiction books by Kristin Hannah (The Four Winds and The Women) too.
@blessedhomeschool She has been recommended to me a lot too. I've not read her books before, so I'm not sure if there is any or much sexual content to be aware of (if that is a concern).
I'm with you about the fiction/ non fiction thing. Ever since I was a kid, I preferred non fiction! Honestly, I prefer non fiction type shows too! Just how my brain is... if I do read fiction, it is the 'classic' older stories that I enjoy. Ones that are family friendly and I could read to my kids. That being said, you are reading for YOUR enjoyment, so if you enjoy nonfiction more, there is nothing wrong with that!
You’re so right!! I feel like all of the book reviews I see people share and talk about are often fiction, so I feel like I must be missing something sometimes 🤪
I just recently read the first two books in Gabrielle Meyer’s Timeless series- When the Day Comes and In This Moment (I think that was the title). They were both so good I couldn’t put them down. I just put the third on hold at our library and cannot wait to get it. If you like history at all, I’d recommend. I wouldn’t normally think this is the type of book I’d like because I don’t like far fetched stories but the main character in each book lives in multiple times and has a full life path in each but has to choose only one. It’s done in such a way it seems like it could happen. There is light romance included but I’d consider it very clean. She is a Christian author and especially the first book has a pretty heavy mention of God and his perfect plan for us. The author is a historian so the books have a lot of true history woven in and some characters based on real people and others totally fictional. They’re very well done. I usually have a hard time finding a good fiction book I enjoy so stick with a lot of nonfiction as well but I caught myself staying up way too late to read these books for hours.
A couple of fiction recommendations that are not necessarily current so you might have read them already. Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens and Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah, and The Book of Lost Names by Kristin Harmel.

I’ve had the Holiness of God on my TBR for a long time!! Maybe I’ll get to it this year!

Thank you for sharing, I'm making a list!! Kristin Hannah has been recommended to me so often!

That is definitely one thing that I dislike in books…and why I’m wary of fiction these days!

There is a book coming out by Melissa doughtery that looks really interesting! I really like her youtube channel!

Thank you so much! Will check those out! Someone else did recommended Kristin Hannah to me recently.
Anything by Amanda Cox ❤️
