I did EXACTLY the same with The Nightingale. My book of 2024. When I finished it I was crying so much I actually just had to take a 20 minute time-out to reflect on it and breathe hahaha - so so so so beautiful and heartbreaking.

I read 37 books this year ... My 5 stars were: Firefly Lane - Kristin Hannah, The Other Side - Kim Holden, Gus - Kim Holden, Out On A Limb - Hannah Bonam Young... I give out sooooo many 4 stars though.
I read so many romance books this year but I‘ve slowly gotten more into fantasy again (with a bit of slow-burn ofc hehe) so I really want to explore more genres again next year
