- Ryan Gosling went from fresh-faced Disney 'mousketeer' in the 1990s to become one of Hollywood's most in-demand actors.
Now he is switching roles again - this time going behind the camera for his directorial debut, Lost River. The film, which stars former Dr Who actor Matt Smith and Mad Men's Christina Hendricks, tells the story of an American family struggling during the economic recession. Gosling told BBC Breakfast's Charlie Stayt what it was like giving the orders on set, instead of taking them.

I'm a straight guy, but I can understand why girls like him so much...
I am straight like an arrow but would love him to be my friend with whom I could drink some latte and visit the sauna occasionally.
You're gay, admit it.
@@jimbeam4736 True but he's just gonna take all your chances to get with girls if he was your friend. Any guy would probably be beta if he was with you and if girls are hanging round with you then their ulterior motive is to probably seem interested in you to get to him.
Who hurt you bro?
Wait when does this come out?
anybody know the brand of the jacket he is wearing?
The suede jacket is from Gucci.
