I visit San Juan last year and I did not rent a car. I use Uber to go to Old San Juan and it cost me under $10. Maybe because my hotel was located in the downtown San Juan to Old San Juan was not far. All my Uber drive were under or around 10 dollars.
The D53 public transit bus runs right in front of the Marriott to Old San Juan,Isa la Verde beach and SJU airport. For .75 it's a bargain but it does not run past 9 pm or Sundays or Holidays. Plus if take a short walk down Condano Ave there a super Walmart just south of the Marriott.
We just went to San Juan for 5 days vacation. San Juan Airport has tourist information downstairs. They give us free raincoat and all the Bus routes. We decided not to rent a car since we were staying only in Sanjuan. Bus and train are free rides for 6 months ( Mar- Aug - 2024). We took the bus and train everywhere. Bus T-5 goes to the Airport - Ocean Park to Old San Juan (the Bus terminal is one block next to Walgreens Store). Since we stay in Ocean Park, we use T-5 every day to go to Old San Juan and do all our activities from there
5 days and only stay in san juan what you think this is mexiko or haiti..you can travel the entire island in 1 day and enjoy everything a lot of beautiful places in 2 or 3 days next time go to CABO ROJO.. .or RINCON or Aguadilla etc..😊
I remember when we rented a car during our visit in Puerto Rico, They told us not to use our turn signals as drivers in Puerto Rico never use them and that if we use our turn signals, we can get marked as a tourist and get followed.
@3 Days 3 Noches Yeah, luckily, I still have family there, especially my moms cousin is also a Police Officer there , so we get most the safety guidance from him when visiting Puerto Rico
I'm from Puerto Rico and I can confirm that drivers are crazy 😂 I personally use signals and it doesnt matter as people will always try to pass you. My advise for people traveling there, if you're looking for beach experience try to stay in "Rincon" which is a town located in the west of the island & you can fly to Aguadilla airport which will allow you to get to Rincon in 30 mins. If you're traveling more for historical landmarks then I would recommend staying in "Condado" or somewhere near so you can go to places like "Old San Juan" & "El Morro"
It really is a blessing!!! I own a few companies and my partners who film also are independent contractors! In between travel I also rarely eat out or spend money going out or buying things I don’t need which saves me about $500 per month minimum sometimes more.
Thank You , This Video Was Very Helpful.❤

Totally agree. I thought driving in Philly or NYC was crazy, but PR has them beat by a mile. Though honestly, it somehow works and is efficient

do you know a good rental car company in San Juan?
I do not!! I would stick with the major brands though like Hertz
Beautiful Puerto Rico u s a the number 8 wonder of the world
😍😍
They do have a bus system … LOL
They do???🤣🤣🤣
The bus system though is extremely inefficient, and this coming from someone who sometimes had to wait 1 hour or more for a bus to arrive.
RIP Public cars they existed way before uber
