Delson discusses next steps after coming out of retreat and the conversation then gets quite esoteric!

About the light at the end, Would everyone be able to resist not being pulled into the light ? Even if he didn't pay his karmic debt or make any substantial spiritual progress?
And is it the whole point of spirituality ? To reach nirvana before death, and thus pass that final test of not getting pulled into the light ?
Or that reframing is still me seeking the ultimate security?
Sorry if i am asking alot of questions

@@mohammadsayd2783 the reframing should be let go of. Abandon all qualms and immerse in the silence of total cessation

I think one of the reasons that makes it difficult for me and others to let go is not knowing why should i really let go and what i am letting go for.
Its true i can perceive some of the suffering associated with this life, but it seems to me at my level of understanding that this is all there is to life, this is as good as it gets.
Why should i let go of it, why should i want or choose nirvana, especially since i can't understand or conceptualize what it really is and whether its better or worse than living.
While i love it so much that you response and interact with me and others on comments, i find your answers sometimes frustratingly concise, i hope if it's in your capacity to maybe extend your answers so beginners like me gets more chances to understand.

@ my answer to that is then no need to aim for Nirvana. Life is good and some suffering is there. Can you enjoy it and still be able to take bad in stride? That’s the point of practice.

@@delson999 okay thank you, but those who aim for nirvana, can you tell me about their point of view and perspective?
Why they totally let go of living and rebirth, what is with nirvana that they prefer it, it does seem like the ultimate annihilation to me sometimes but i suspect this is misconception

@ that’s because they’ve suffered enough and they want relief. Not necessarily a way out of rebirth because they most of the time only understand that there’s rebirth conceptually. So it’s a dice roll. What is felt on this life though is relief and more possibility of emotional resilience and stability in the face of future iterations of suffering. So better it seems it as helping to achieve greater quality of life by letting go and transforming our triggers from the past that can lead to expectations of a future. Remain in the present as the cliche goes. It’s being here now with total relaxation into every experience without any need for further anything after that really.
