Just in case you didn’t know, if you right click on an ability then select the move ability, it will show you the affect of the ability you right clicked so you know if you’re in range or not. It’s not completely perfect. For example, it doesn’t work if you use charge/rush whatever it’s called to move. It only works for the standard movement

Yea I feel like even with all the existing animal skills/traits/etc. They're just a hinderance to the team. There's even some like OP Beastmaster abilities and weapons, but nothing really fixes that animals just eat your XP and aren't a match for even 1 well spec'd character. Meanwhile, like Bears for example will eat as much as 5 people lol.
Your guides are truly amazing and informative. Too bad though you didnt mentioned all the funny stuff devs put on this game. With that it would be perfect. 9/10
tip : you can use any ability with 1 2 3 4 etc... instaid of clic with the mouse on the skill to select it, then clic on the unit to target. It's a huge gain of time. another tip : right clic on a skill to see wich unit will be hit/buffed by the skill (i.e. 10:22)
I knew that but the more abilities a char has i start to count which number i need. I wrongly selected several times in the heat of the battle so i got back to choose by mouse. Its personal preference. With a fast mouse selecting with it is ok for me. Can i arrange the order of abilities? In this case i could give it another try.

Which professions are the MUST and which can be not used at all or be assigned to prisoners, for example? I'm starting as Brute-Swordsman-Pikeman-Warrior start, planning to get myself few archers/rangers and maybe someone else (like another warrior). Wanna keep my party around 8-9 people, but worrying about not having professiona at the time i need them so i'll miss fome content/potentialy awesome loot. Best regards.
Use professions that complement the desired stats. For example, shield and mace brute blacksmith for max str. Aoe classes tinkerer cuz they are crit dependent ect
I didn't know you could use 2 x oils on the weapons!? Are you getting the effects of both at the same time?? Also you have a mean team!! I thought my teams were badass... I notice you don't use the legendary bows... But then I guess when you are hitting for over 1000 the war bow is fine!
Thanks man! Now for oils you need lvl 7 in the mystic path and yes both are in effect. The war bow is the best bow in the game. However it needs high crit chance to really shine. Furthermore, the passive on the archer that adds stacks of rage really synergies with the double attack of the war bow. Adding an additional 10% dmg per round. Unfortunately in my video my archers one shot everything so you cant notice it.

Man I really like swordsman too. But the 2 handed swords are a bit lacking in this game. Although I found something really cool that I couldn't showcase. If you get conversion oil. And apply it on the fanatic greatsword (from inquisition). It will enable you to actually use it. In this playthrough I couldn't get it because the path quest simply didn't pop. And this sword has big aoe cone and actually ignores guard. Which makes it super strong. As long as you can recover your health, it is in my opinion the best 2 handed sword in the game.
How do you manage to distribute so many stat points? There are two per level with the enhancement, is there another way besides this or do they come from the equipment? I'm a beginner in the game.
Hey! So there's random events at the camp that can give you free appritude points. Also some guaranteed ones, like after defeating a champion. You can get unique titles (personal) for extra stats too. There's a perk that gives you +1 to new recruits. That's all I can think of atm

Is the oil on the weapon permanent？ Or it depletes after sometims? Cause I have all the proficient but for reason I skip the alchemist, it seems necessary for the build though. Maybe do a guide on something that could formed relatively early (lv7 or 8), I might want to restart cause I just upgrade my skill and ability point without thinking too much, they all feel pretty meh rn.
To answer your first question - oils do not deplete. And you can exchange them as you please. Now, for skill points, you can actually respect your skills for 500 crowns. But attributes are permanent, unfortunately. So don't ever waste points on the constitution. Im planning to to release class guides and a video on how to look for good new recruits. Hope that helps!
Is there any "hidden" class you can or should rush on adaptive very early? If not does the warrior go Berserker or Executioner? Cutthroat? Is harpooner worth with 2 assassins? Who would be the "weakest" link? I really like 2h swords
Get assassin as soon as possible. Yes harpooner is very good with assassins for my most the game. I switched to helbardier in the late game because assassins are so powerful late game, they dont really need someone to bleed their targets. Berserker is the way to go, until your crit is high and you can use penetrating oil instead of sharpening oil. Then you can switch to barbarian if you want. And get the axe from the tomb in Verteuse. Hope that helps!

@Toggle it's simple, rangers are very mobile and they move around the battlefield so i can get them to go and use captains ability to restore temp valor. Tank is usually alone somewhere killing/tanking. I gave lieutenant to the swordsman, only because he gets access to inspiration early, which makes him very mobile.
It depends on the character. Im working on guides for each class. So stay tuned. In the meantime, my best tip that is true for every class is: do not spend any points in constitution.

Hey! They are usually found in bandit camps. If you are asking for 5% crit (stiletto) specifically, there's a bratherhood group in the fields right after the gate from Tiltren into Verteuse. If you kill them, you can get one. Also, you can get one in Alazar from one the 3 daughters, where the old man can't remember who his actual daughter is. Hope that helps.

How come you have 4 skills in your skill tree while mine only has 3? Also why using the rampart shield for your first guy. Isn't a counter-attack shield better? I do a ton of damage with them right now at lower levels
Archers insane at the later stages. Make sure you use perforating oil, and they will potentially one-shot everything. Cutthroat is ok, but assassin is better. You can one-shot light armors and kill off medium armored enemies with right between the eyes. Especially if they are bleeding. At 1 vp cost. Without requiring them to be engaged.
I've started playing the game in expert and ironman mode from the moment I purchased it. I'm on my 5th group, learned while they die. I was wondering what do you mean about the mystic? to get 2 oils? Is that a profession? Btw one of my group died trying to capture buddy, that part is ridiculous tbh
Would you say that you level up a lot faster with few dudes ? XP gains are dreadfully small with my large group, anyway ... i didn't drop the dragan's hammer, i did in my previous playthrough but not on this one.
I see a lot of people complain about leveling. My battles are swift. I also always keep 2 people on the dummy. So once one pair lvls up. I switch them with the next 2, until all are the same level. Then start over. And about Dagans hammer... man Id restart my playthrough for this weapon ^^

Thanks for your warm comments! It took hellva lot of editing, especially the battle. As for Amanda, I just got very lucky. It's a very rare combination of traits. But find an archer with solitary, it will do just fine.
This is the unstable oil. It has a 25% chance to proc 100% str/dex dmg (105% with camp) on every skill that does dmg. So I have that on every single melee character.
The video is great, I've watched it several times but I do wish you could do a breakdown for each of character and all the skills that were chosen for them in a pinned comment. You chose Barbarian for one the classes but it is not a class that is available to me in the beginning. How do you get the class?

Yeah, exactly. The only argument for using bear is maybe in the early stages. But like you said, it eats for 5 people. So no thanks haha

Generally speaking, I invest 2 aptitude points (levels) on movement. Rest is food buffs and layers.

Its the level 12 skill. You either choose the new bravery skill or a skill from the ealier levels.

There's new subclasses. Maybe you know assassin from the EA? Now there's babarian for warrior, duelist for swordsman, and helbardier for spearman.

its not that simple man, what I can say for sure tho is dont go over 13-14 speed for any class. Because more than that is overkill.

Lvl 12 weapon give a lot of primary stats amd just food oil can give you 25% crit
