      It was all about bars being narrow to not hit Trees & and make room for the Onza Bar Ends... 👍🏻

    It's incredible how slow they are down the descents compared to current pro's on enduro bikes. I know theres no real comparison but the suspension on these old bikes must have spent 90% of its time bottomed out. The front end is all over the place. Not helped by the fact all their weight is over the rear wheel. I wonder what someone would have paid for a dropper post back then!

      They did have dropper posts in those days in the formation of a retractable spring system, Muddy Fox Explorer etc.
      With the wheels being 26" the momentum used to throw the riders forwards making it sketchy to ride and to descend... Thanks for watching 👍🏻

      @@CyclingWorld1 Thats new on me. I didnt realise such things were available back then. The best I could do at the time was a Girvin Flexstem. Not the most effective product in the world. hah
