The City of Melbourne is a local government area in Victoria, Australia, located in the central city area of Melbourne. In 2016 the city has an area of 36 square kilometres (14 sq mi) and had a population of 135,959.[1] The city's motto is "Vires acquirit eundo" which means "She gathers strength as she goes."
The current Lord Mayor is Sally Capp, who was elected in a by-election following the resignation of Robert Doyle on 4 February 2018. The Melbourne City Council (MCC) holds office in Melbourne Town Hall.

I just got back from a 7 day trip to Melbourne had a really cool time recommend it anyone

I know Melbourne is the 2nd largest city in Australia after Sydney.
Many student from all over the world are studying in this city,
just like in London, New York, and Paris.
In 2002 and 2004, Melbourne became the 1st comfortable city
in the world to live in. I remember cabin attendants sprayed
something in the airplane to clean up the air before landing.
It was long long time ago. I do want to visit this beautiful city again.
Thanks Ken n my opinion Melbourne has improved a lot in the last decade .According to statistics in the next few years it will over take Sydney in population size ...Australia is a very nice country but Politicians no good like most..I live here and like it but also because i know lots of people and places im used to it .I dont particularly like the city but must work so its like a linked chain ..best wishes Ken
