A big thank you for the facebook link - I was unaware of it. Had a real moment of joy when I followed your link and saw a pic of a girl wearing one of the dresses I made last year. An unexpected reward that warmed my heart.
@@blossomsandwich4232 I agree! I thought I didn’t the skills until I started sewing these little girl dresses and the possibilities are becoming realities. 😁👗
My fav is the plain blue dress w/ the flowered pockets & sleeves (9:36). My 2nd fav is the purple/lavender print with the solid purple pockets (13:00). 🥰 All are beautiful, so it was tough choosing.
Thank you so much for hosting this incredible challenge Mari! It's honestly the most meaningful thing I've done with my sewing skills. Excited to hear the final total of dresses donated at the end of the month!
Wow, Ivette, your dresses are beautiful and unique in every way 🤩 🤩 🤩. Isn’t it nice to see your dresses from last year went to Uganda, where is really needed? The peasant dress is a great and easy pattern to sew 👍. Thank you for the shout out 🙌🏻🙌🏻💖💖.
I think you are right about how we pour our love into the things we make. It does make them extra special. I have been participating in PDAG for a few years now. It is actually a very fun challenge! I want to try that dress pattern next year. Happy sewing and thanks for the video!
What a lovely selection of fabrics and colours! I think my fave is the cobalt blue/ flower batik, that batik fabric is sooo pretty 😍 the wee girls are going to feel very special in them
This was such an enjoyable video, Yvette. I was especially touched by your thoughts on your reasons for sewing and sewing for this charity. “Cute” dresses! 😂
Such lovely dresses! It’s my first time taking part, my goal is 30 and I have done 20 complete. Only 10 to go 😝. My dresses are also mostly the same pattern as yours, but I’m looking for the last 10 at the tiered version. Will be 9/10 and 11/12 dresses. I will post mine ones soon to Jacqui too. Thank you for sharing your experience. 😊
I agree with all your thoughts. I’ve made loads of dresses, all styles, mostly bigger sizes up to age 10, from spring until now, not just September! I like your plain purple one, but they’re all great.
I feel like I said it so many times during the video, but they are such a great make in between bigger projects! Hopefully I can make even more next year 😁
The fabric I bought online turned out to be a little sheer. I found some cheap fabric bolts on FB marketplace for sale that I'm going to pick up and hopefully they're not as sheer.
I finished dress number 16 last night. I tried to use the cotton in my stash, but did break down and buy some new stuff. I tried several different patterns, hoping to find one that I thought was perfect. 😍 Yours are got. Blue is my favorite color so those are myfavorites ❤🧵
The little girls are going to look adorable with these dresses 👗…..❤
Yesss! I really hope I get to see some pics of these ones arriving at their destination 😍
Your dresses are all very cute. The girls who receive these will all feel quite special. I love how you combined fabrics. 😊
'Cute' is the keyword of this video after all 😂 I can't resist a contrast pocket!
I love that you can laugh at yourself-it was very cute! Lovely dresses.
Didn't notice how many times I said 'cute' until I edited the video 😂
Beautiful colors. Honestly love them all. Purple & batik’s are very beautiful ❤❤😊
Thank you! I couldn't choose a favourite, they all turned out lovely 😍
I love the first dress the best. Orange butterflies ❤️❤️❤️
That one is so adorable 😍
I loved the idea of the split dresses…so cute. Very imaginative when you run into a snag, you know make lemonade !
Thank you! I'm really pleased with the split ones, they turned out so cute! (Theme word of the video haha)
Love all thee information and your lovely examples!
It's such a great initiative! Plus a good excuse to make really cute dresses haha
All of them are beautiful. I’ll go with #16. The blue with a gathered skirt.
I wish I made the skirt even more gathered but that's a lesson learned for next time! I'll certainly be making more little dresses!

It comes together so quickly! Definitely a winner

I love that one too!
Lovely dresses.

Nice dresses. Such variety.
Thank you! I mostly bought 1m lengths of fabric in the Rainbow fabric sale so I had different designs to play with
The fabric I bought online turned out to be a little sheer. I found some cheap fabric bolts on FB marketplace for sale that I'm going to pick up and hopefully they're not as sheer.
Ah that's a shame. Maybe you could use the sheer fabric for contrast pockets and sleeves like I did with the yellow?

I'm an absolute fiend for blue fabric, most of my wardrobe is blue 😂 well done for making so many dresses!
