I've tried to make this guide as complete as possible. I wanted it to be the best Perfumer Guide ever, suitable for new players of Identity V, beginners at Vera Noir, amateurs, old mains...
Why did I want to do a perfumer guide? ----------------------
Well, I'm not a pro, but I really like to explain stuff. I've learned a lot by watching, analyzing pro-perfumer players, and also by experience. I really like Perfumer (she is one of my favorite survivors at the moment), and I really wanted to share my knowledge on her to other people who might need it!
I know the guide sometimes is sometimes quite fast-paced, since I didn't want to make this video 30 minutes long by adding more and more clips. That's why, if you have any question, feel free to ask in the comments below!

Could be bad ping it makes the perfume animation delayed by half a sec which screws up a lot of stuff
Its ok you can use perfume at pallet or near pallet to force hunter instinc to hit that palet its actually works xD
That happens to me a lot, I click on the perfume but it doesn't let me use it and I get hit-

i've been a perfumer main for three seasons (going four now!) and she's actually my first survivor main. i was scrounging around for perfumer tips because just like you, my normal ping is yellow, and i really wanted to try and master a near instant perfume. i'm really glad that you so happened to be a badged perfumer with a similar ping to mine because it means i still have hope to become one too :D your guide was really helpful and some of the tips you mentioned are actually new to me

i'm a perfumer main, my mistake is i have a lot of trouble with perfuming against 4? hunters and my rank team always yells at me for not perfuming correctly against them
Oh no, that sounds awful :( I'm sorry your team is not that understanding (My tm seer had a specific message, "help me", at the beggining of the match in case it was a Ripper, because they knew I cannot kite them for more than 10s)
May I ask who are those 4? If you don't want to say it, is fine.
Just a general advice: If you have troubles against specific hunters, ask for a friend to help you, or in the chat for a 1vs1. Maybe you won't get an answer from the chat, but maybe you'll find someone to practice against. I managed to find a manticore V +90% wr who helped me. Thanks to him I was able to improve a lot my kiting against BonBon and Feaster. Some of the matches are in a video (Custom Matches).

@@chwrie Just some tips from a griffin !! Yidhra's follower has a very small hitbox which you can test in single training , when she's really close is the best time to use a perfume - also, most yidhra mains use patroller or blink , if you get bitten by patroller try to get in an area with a lot of windows + palettes , for the speed boosts and to create distance by throwing down palettes.
Antonio is a difficult hunter to go against and is usually banned in high tiers , his string and notes mainly depend on predicting the survivors movements, when he places down a string and is doing the animation to place down the second part , try running in zig zags to overwhelm them, they won't know where to put the string and their skill will run out , if they move the string (full presence ability) try standing in between two lines.
Sculptor's statues are now a bit slower ! And just like Antonio, she depends on predicting the survivors. Be unpredictable ! Make random turns into different kiting areas, try to overwhelm them ! They won't know what to do. If they're at full presence and trying to make the four statues into one (I'm sorry, I don't know the name of this ability qwq) , know that though the single statue is the fastest of them all, it can only go in one direction, so in this scenario it's best to try and move out the way in time.
The tips for Sculptor also apply to Bonbon. Honestly, no one can kite Bonbon, especially if you're going against one who knows what they're doing. My tips for going against him is just try to move in zigzags, create a lot of distance between you two.

Those were actually pretty good tips! I might add that sometimes you're not able to perfume if you're being pushed by an sculpture, so take care about that too. Being unpredictable, or rather, predicting what the hunter is going to do is one of the best things you need to start applying on your ranks. It seems you're going for a pallet? A good sculptor or violinist will try to ability there based on that. Predicting hunters also works for Feaster, Ripper, etc.
Oh, BTW, all the hunters you mentioned before are kinda weak against transitional kiting, since their abilities can control/pressure/excel in tight closed areas. Also... Try not to get trapped by DW followers. Thought this sounds easier than doing...
I’m really sorry 🥺, plz don’t feel bad. When I first starting use perfumer I couldn’t predict the hits correctly , so I just sprayed anytime. For transition . The best thing to do is predict the hit and the distance of the hunter from you. Then you can tell what time to spray. I had to look behind me to accomplish that lol. Also don’t let them get to you. But what pisses me of is that during a game, you can see when perfumer uses her perfume below her name up above with the rest of ppl. It’s like they highlighted perfumers name, which i think it’s unessary. If I have a bad game , I don’t want everyone to know when I use my perfumes

i dont have a badge for perf but im trying to get one :'D the thing that weighs me down is probably my forgetfulness, i forget about certain hunter abilities and don't tend to think about counter strategies to hunter abilities while kiting in the moment 😢 so yeah i usually get hit without perfuming, there are even some times i forget i was playing perfumer in the first place and i just end up running into the hunter like a bot 😂
That happened to me at the beginning too! Don't worry. Maybe you panic too much while kiting and that makes you forget the hunter/strategies/patterns they follow. Maybe you get easily distracted. I forget abilities too cuz of the last one.
Practice against different hunters and watch videos with strategies against them; you might start copying that tips unconsciously. You might remember them while you kite, and then get to put them into practice. Another thing you could try is to think of kiting as a strategic dance, or like a chess game. "What would be my opponent´s (hunter) best move? What does he seem to like? Cross pallets, swing at them? Does he fake hits or they go straight for it? Will they change their strategy in the next one if the first method failed?"
I´ve noticed that when I focus on the hunter and try to predict, it actually helps me kite better (maybe because of my bad ping too).
Hope that was a little useful, at least. Try your best and don't let your mistakes make you feel bad. You'll learn from them.

Remember you can also use her ability for transition, cuz sum hunters bait out perfumes

I just started the game recently and it seems I’ve usually taken to more of a kiting role (my highest scoring matches so far are usually when I’m on the run.) i think two tips with wuwu 1st beware of the things around the umbrella because he can attack faster and 2nd if wuwu use the umbrela for white and you got lost soul use the things around the umbrellato to know where is the real wuwu and perfume also thanks for this useful tips becau i wanted to buy the perf but i'm not a pro XD
I started maining perfumer because doctor is terror shock kween- I mean it's hard to use her in mammoth, and I always use tide with her and end up kiting, I usually do 3-4 cipher kites but I feel bad when I dont last that long so I watch perfumer vids to improve and I came across your channel, your guide was really helpful and the editing is really cute, I hope you continue posting these helpful videos ^^

Pretty good guide! W perfumer i either do instant perfume (right on time) or i waste a perfume :,) theres no in between ahahha... i mostly have red ping now so i dont play perf that much

oh ya I saw this cool thing on Tik Tok recently. So you mentioned about perfume x priestess's blue portal ya？Sometimes the portal is picked up/called near to a cipher. After what you go through, perfume, go back, your shadow will be with your side. But since it is near a cipher hunters can teleport if the cipher is not completed. And the shadow is still there (like oh no) and hunters can hit that. So the thing is that some perfumers literally have their perfume CD ready and they use perfume again to stay at full health. (ok dk why im saying this but just want to share :3)

Now I'm challenging myself to learn how to kite and a friend picked Perfumer for me to attempt to learn kiting with.

I’m also a C badge perf!! the thing that weighs me down the most is when I miss a perfume or when I don’t do an insta perfuner
Don't let that affect you! Even Pro-Perfumers do mistakes, miss perfumes once in a while and get hit in between perfumer cool down. Once I found a Vid compilation of Top 1 Perfumer on Asia Server. You could see the quality of the perfumes, but also that they don't aim for insta perfumes on ranked (it can go very wrong and get spammed with thank you later...)

I did five rescues in qm with perfumer! ^^ my team with ransoms was super bad- bad rescue, bad kiter, decent decoder :) but her perfumes with rescuing? Super useful! If the hunter isn’t near, kinda far away, looking somewhere else, or focused and someone other than me I don’t use it- while body blocking definitely:)
This is the best perfumer guide and is also very calming. I could say my common mistake is panicking and that makes me run towards the hunter (BQ). I also can't dodge Feaster's tentacles. I usually meet BQ so do you have any video for her? Thank you for this guide too!

I always vault and the hunters go around and terror shock me but I'm Practising and I'll get better if you have some tips about it tell me so I can fellow the steps
If you're full health and you're sure you will get terror shocked if you vault, get a normal hit and then vault (bait vault). You could also try to juke before vaulting. If you're half health then try to juke.
I gotta say, sometimes I think that I will get TS and I get not, and viceversa. It depends on the hunters hitbox, when they start the animation, and ping. It´s kinda difficult to explain. Just keep practicing and analyze things when they go wrong. That's the fastest way to learn imo. Good luck! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

I dont think tide turner is a must on every survivor but it has to be on every rescuer like coordinator or mercenary or forward but cool video btw i like it

I love how perfumer can take 3 hits if nothing goes wrong! But sometimes when I hit perfume a little bit too late it shows unable to use item
On mobile it takes about a second to use the perfume after deploying it I press it it says cannot use this right now then finally let’s me

I’m a new player and still deciding to buy new characters. Through trials, I have played female survivors and I got interested in perfumer because her ability is easy to understand and use. This guide has been very helpful thanks! I’m planning to buy her or dancer, do you have any recommendations who to buy first? Preferably female characters. I’ve used doctor, perfumer and dancer only.

I used to have like 2K points for perf but I got discouraged due to the growing toxicity from players. I took a 2 year almost 3 year break from the game and now I’m scared of using her as people tend to associate perfumer with ‘expert kiter’.

Hi! I'm not that new to perf,but can I ask something? I recently got in pc and I don't know exactly how to look backwards while kiting, and I generally use my perfume when the red light is on me .w. Do you have any tips for perfumers on pc?Great guide btw helped me a lot when i was on mobile 🙏🏻
Someone told me that you need to use the mouse to rotate. I can't play in pc, so I cannot really help you... Sorry :(

My problem is my ping :( I usually have yellow ping like you but for some reason I started having red ping and it’s hard for me to play now...:(
I can relate to that. Lately ping has become worse and worse. I'm trying to base my perfumes on predictions, and so far its not going as bad as I thought!
