The framerate in this video (despite saying 60fps) is only running at half speed, which isn't a great representation of how smooth Stilt actually moves. I contacted TH-cam support and they said it should be fixed soon. In the meantime, you'll just have to trust me that Stilt's 120fps native framerate looks great in the headset. :D

I was playing this last night, and watching this review at work made me smile cause I know how it feels being inside with those things. I was running around like a cheetah, something I wanted to do when I was a kid.

Man I had zero interest in this game until you guys talked about it on Gamescast. This game sounds like a blast and this review sealed it for me. The multiplayer is a cool bonus which makes this game sound like an incredible value at $20!
Damn, this looks immensely fun. I still have PSVR1 but this is the kind of game I want once I switch to PSVR2, can't wait to get more like this one
Been waiting for this review the whole day, even if I was already convinced 😁 I love Jumping Flash 1&2 and they were quite challenging in my memory, but this one looks even more. I love boss fights in platformers so I would have like more than only one, but everything else about this game screams "PLAY MEEEE!!!" and the multiplayer seems like a lot of fun too. Can't wait to jump in (flash)! Thanks for the review 😁

You should start adding if the multiplayer is crossplay. In this game, it seems it is, but it was not mentioned in the video.

It's crossplay, sorry for not making that clear - we even tested it with PSVR2/Quest/PCVR and it worked great and featured in-game voice chat. Usually I mention it on the summary screen but it slipped my mind.
Reminds me of Super Monkeyball in spirit.
This looks fun and the included pvp actually is a nice addition. Now platformers are not usually my go to, but for its price, I'll get it! Thanks for the great review Psvrwithoutparole!
Good stuff, maybe not a fair comparison but Toss was never a game that interested me and I was wondering if this game would fall in that same category. But after seeing this, I gotta say, I'm sold. This looks like a pure joy to play and can't wait to jump in and go for a ride.

Tempting but the green screen thing is a deal breaker for me, once that's patched / fixed I'll have another look, defo looks more fun that Toss 😊.
Can anyone who has some motion sickness sensitivity tell me if they're okay in this one? I'm not too bad, can do locomotion in games like Resident Evil, walking around is okay. Just not sure if the constant jumping will be okay.

Nope, I felt fine. Looking at my footage made me realize I only played in about 1 hour bursts (instead of my normal 2-3 hour sessions) but I think that has more to do with the occasional frustration of dying a lot...

What are the controls like? Are you flailing your arms around like a madman to make those jumps? I'd love to see some video of someone playing or more description of how the controls work. Is this a "arm workout" game?
It's all very precise. One of the things I failed to mention in the review is that if you don't make a jump, it's your fault. Outside of some really big jumps your hand/arm movements are fairly minimal, as you're usually just bouncing around kinda tapping the ground with your stilts. Definitely not flailing around lol :D

Did you say the difficulty was "medium"? This game is way to hard. I made it to level 5 and now I'm pissed off. Doesnt make for a fun game to me.

Got a little worried from an ign article saying that sony is reducing its support.
Personally found quite disappointing that london studios got closed ,and rec room is not planning yet to support our headset.
That all depends on what you think of how PSVR2 is doing so far. If you're like me and think PSVR2 had an amazing first year, then you'll be happy with it's future too. We should get a couple hybrids, a couple single A games, and a ton of great indies every year - and that's awesome
that IGNorant hit-piece shows they are biased (or even bribed) idiots. they employed that plagiarist for starters... personally, i play hours of gt7 vr most days, all the other titles are a bonus. would love a worms game in vr.

No crazy movements needed. Controlled movement only.
Nope, you can’t move with traditional full locomotion. There were moments during the first hour where I thought “man I wish I could just play this normally” but that all fades away eventually. It’s designed for the stilts and the stilts make it fun. :D
I wanna know why arent anyone talking about the pcvr games that arent getting attention but yet as soon as any psvr2 game comes out its pcvr already has it. Ok but is it doing well? Psvr2 increases how many players are added to an already pcvr game especially if its cross play. Games need time to develop how fast do people expect these games to come out. If it takes longer to make a AAA game then deal with the ports and hybrids , if their polished and updated on psvr 2 cool. We want the best version but even flat version games fix stuff without us knowing major issues, hell amost every game ive played had glitches and yes that includes AAA flat and VR games, dont stop me from playing them. I think i get more excited when i see a update for any game i already own vs buying it later after patches. I agree it shouldnt be released if its not patched but if devs clean it up then you got your money worth.
There's a game called No More Rainbows on Quest that has been out for a bit. This looks just like it.

It's buttery-smooth with no reprojection. I played for an hour and discomfort of any sort didn't even cross my mind.

I'm good. these kinds of games isn't why i got VR. sadly, the games i do like are few and far between.
Looks like a really fun game but visually wise it still looks like something you could get on the quest 1/2 or psvr1 back in the days .
It's little things like the resolution, framerate, and draw distance that make indie games really shine on PSVR2 (which you can't really appreciate from a review on TH-cam, unfortunately) --- where on PSVR1 they often looked pretty bland
@@WithoutParole To be honest I was pretty blown away with the visuals on psvr 1 and still am - am only playing the top games though like resident evil , rush of blood, astrobot but haven’t as yet played the lesser indie style games on it . But ,yes, apart from a handful of games on psvr2 I wasn’t that persuaded to buy one looking at the visuals on most of the games on TH-cam that are currently available for it even though horizon and resident evil 4 and 8 look great and switchback but not enough to pay over £1000 for the console and headset yet anyway on,y to play a few aaa games. But a lot of people say it’s night and day compared to the psvr one but am yet to be convinced . The only thing I wasn’t happy with with the psvr one was the small fov and it was slightly blurry and even though the visuals were good in the better games , the graphics could have been better . Do you really think there is that much difference with psvr2 ? I mean the fov is only 10 degrees more so am guessing you’ll still see the black borders at the sides of your periphery but there is roomscale which am looking forwards to trying even though it’s wired ? I've played this on Quest 2 and PS VR2. It's somehow so much nicer on the PS VR2. The extra horsepower and OLED is just more pleasant for high frame rates like this.

this game will be as unplayable as kayak VR, funny how nobody mentions VR sickness, credibility of this review is zero
Thanks for the feedback. I don't get motion sickness, but if you need tips getting over it we've been talking about it for about 7 years straight. Hopefully you can get over it eventually.
The review doesn't need to mention motion sickness because if you own a VR headset you should know by now what your tolerance is and be able to judge accordingly from the gameplay if it would make you sick or not. Someone else saying a game didn't make them sick doesn't mean you won't get sick from the same game, use a few of your last remaining brain cells here to actually think about that.
