I’d like to point out that Jack Snyder is incorrect and superheroes (especially Batman) aren’t supposed to you legitimate guns.
@@burntbread-c8j Wrong, Zack is absolutely correct and his thoughts are accurate to an actual source material core instead of alternative versions of Batman retconed by other people.
I love how everyone says Zack Snyder's Batman uses guns alot when he's only directly held a gun once in both movies of him showing up (and another in a literal Dream sequence of the apocalypse)
@@FirstnameLastname-my7bznot really. Snyder used Dark Knight Returns as his example of a killer Batman, which ironically, in returns, Batman struggles to kill joker and some other enemies. Batman also breaks a gun in half and expresses his distaste for such a weapon.
And yes Kane wanted Batman to use guns, but Kane is also a complete con artist who made everyone else work for him. He didn’t actually do anything really.
@@aexonity you are wrong since all Batman "kills" in the movie are inspired by main continuity comics ones, not by The Dark Knight comics.
And even then in that very comic he saves his own life and life of a child using a gun.
Batman gained gun at the same time as he did gain baterang (original spelling for batarang) and bombs which were first bat gadgets introduced by Gardner Fox who temporarily replaced Bill Finger (who only had Batman with lasso for climbing), it was also Fox who renamed "The Bat-Man" (Who was ripped off from Dr Occult Vampire Venom and other Siegel characters like Bruce Verne) into "Batman", but even after Fox left the gun was still there when Finger returned up until Editors told him to take it off.
But even after that and after 1941 ban on other things in World's Finest Comics 27 it is shown that Batman will absolutely break his rules if it means his or someone's safety.
Next time use facts instead of uninformed emotional manipulation and out of context cherry picking.

There's a big misconception, original Batman used a gun but that was very rare. He did not have a sidearm casually.
He literally gained gun at the same time as he gained baterang (original spelling for batarang) and bombs, ie his first ever gadgets besides lasso. Also the moment he gained his first batgadgets is also moment when he stopped being called "Bat-Man" and became "Batman" instead. It was always with him up until 1941 ban, which is a reason why batplane (origina "bat"+vehicle, besides batgyro) had machine guns while batmobile only gained ones in The Dark Knight Returns and then only in live action adaptations except Suicide Squad and The Batman.
@@FirstnameLastname-my7bz he was not using guns casually and i also don't remember him having a side arm. In the comic where he fights the guy with the death ray, he uses a gun to blow up a tank. I am not counting the ones mounted on top his vehicles because i see those as different.
@@Rengokuo4o6 he blew that ray thing with His gun, it was literally part of his arsenal of tools like other gadgets. And couple other issues by Gardner Fox from there have him posing with smoking gun, covers depicting him having gun holster.
It wasn't frequently used, but guess what neither was baterang frequently used. Ever. The frequent use gadgets were smoke and explosive bombs. It is why original belts have tubes.

@@FirstnameLastname-my7bz no, i am right. Dispute being drawn as carrying guns in the covers of his comic book, Batman barely used a gun. He used it a couple of times but he wasn't gun totting as some would have you believe.
0:29 I'm surprised the thugs even had dialogue reacting to someone being killed. Maybe it's from the Red hood DLC but I don't recall hearing it from Black Masks thugs.

He gained gun literally at the same time (Detective Comics 29 and until 34 when Gardner Fox temporarily replaced Bill Finger and a bit more from that until editors told Finger to have Batman remove handgun from his belt) as he gained other gadgets like bombs and baterang (original spelling of batarang) and which is also first when he became "Batman" instead of "Bat-Man" (which btw he was because design was ripped off from Dr Occult Vampire Venom story). Bat-Man which original original version of Batman only had lasso rope and environment.
And until The Dark Knight Returns only batplane ever had machine guns Because of 1941 ban which didn't allow DC heroes use any weapons (within the story, they could hold them for example, like in Superman 133 where Superman holding the rifle but then when he shoots it the "audience" only sees shots themeselves, compare it to Action Comics 23 or Superman/Batman Public Enemies 2 which were made before or after 1941 ban, but also Clark Kent for did shoot guns in that period because ban was only for heroes in costume)

One thing that bugged me is that the thomas Wayne mod didn't have the cape, maybe this time they can update the mod and let him have it now since this one has his cape
