Definitely the BEST VERSION OF ALL.. Thanks for leaving it on youtube! Tom or Jackie coogan was a very believable Tom sawyer both sensitive and naughty.
We lost Junior in a car accident and Aunt Polly (Clara Blandick) commited suicide. Mary(Mary Jane Irving) can be enjoyed at 11yrs in the 1924 Edward Cline directed "The Good Bad Boy". You can enjoy Coogan in "The Kid", "OliverTwist" and "Peck's Bad Boy" from Alpha Video. Also, don't miss Junior Dirkin (sic) in "Hell House" also available from Alpha. Enjoyment for the whole family. Don't miss the collectors pack of both "Tom Sawyer" and Huck Finn ( 1930/1931) accompanied by copies of the Whitman Books 25pg. Story books of each film with colored scenes from each film from North American Archives. For addresses, google.
Ooops! Wrong key! I meant wasn't in John Cromwell season at London's NFT in 1974, so many thanks! Look forward to this one. And perhaps someone has the 1931 HUCKLEBERRY FINN out there... Robert Smith

Came here for Trent Durkin's performance. Thanks for uploading this.
Thanks so much for the post. I was researching a project. I can't find part 3 though. I see parts one through 9, but no part 3.
It took me a while to believe that little boy Jackie Coogan went on to play Uncle Fester of the Adams Family, but he did.
I never would have picked up on that but it definitely is. There's no mistaking the eyes. Thanks for the heads up. (9 yrs later)
aunt Polly sounds like auntie Em from the Wizard of Oz
... I think it is ...and she was also in the 1939 Huckleberry Finn with Mickey Rooney
You're right, the name of the actress is Clara Blandick (1880-1962)
3:31, That's *AUNT EM!*
Thankyou very much
