Yeah, I never heard of them either till recently. I remember some commercial with Webb where he dunks something like a box of cereal. It was cool whatever it was.
I recently saw a card from this set that was completely blank on the back. It was mixed in with other cards from this set so I am assuming it is not a reprint etc. Has anyone seen this before?
Cool card! Sounds like you pulled a blankback. Not terribly uncommon for this overproduced set. Worth a couple bucks. If it's a big name, maybe $5-10. If you want a second opinion, you can search for "1989 hoops blank" on ebay and you should see a few for sale.
Oh cool! You left out the fact it was an MJ. So not worth a ton but very cool. There aren't specific cards that have wrongbacks. It can be any card. It happens when two sheets stick together in printing. Or it may be a proof card, basically a test card.

Didn't know about the announcer cards and it's been over 30 years...I like the Spud Webb card sort of looks like his his 86 Fleer.
