If I wanted to spend the I’d night on board I’d want the aft cabin as sleeping with my head on to the heads doesn’t appeal 😅 Great review overall Hugo, thanks!
For me it’s the sun top too, even if I prefer to have 2 cabins I find the sun top more convivial with this large table area where we can spend very good times with family or friends !!
Is Axopar ever going to do a OXE Diesel outboard version? Truly I dont understand why diesel outboards arent more common for boats this size. The fuel efficiency is vastly superior and they still match the speed range this boat is designed for. You'd think with all these brands trying to be more "environmentally friendly" a more robust and more fuel efficient engine would be available...
That “cabin” option seems utterly useless. Basically like sleeping in a coffin w/skylights. I’d just save the money and keep it as a straight head/storage.
I cant believe making the front of the cabin symmetrical is an extra cost... Amazing what they try to nickel and dime you for in 2024. I think theyre trying to do too much and losing a more defined purpose. Now on a larger boat, the rear aft cabin isnt even private anymore lol. How are they going backwards?
For a couple over night or weekending....you won't need "privacy" in the cabin. This boat is what it is....a day boat for maybe 6-8 people.....over nighter or weekender for a couple. You want two couples to overnight? (rare) - get the 37.
Somehow seems small for a 29, not sure how they manage to waste all that deck space? Too many fiddly solutions all around. The front "cabin" is useless to me, and I never liked the aft cabin as we prefer to sit in sofas on the rear deck like on the Sun Top
i truly find that this is a strong step in the wrong direction... alot of the good things about the 28 are gone and most of the updates are just wrong on the new one...
I think Axopar is trying to make their products something they are not. I think of an Axopar as a tender or chase boat to be used primarily by the crew. The front cabin is worthless. I am not impressed at all by this boat.
Cross cabin boat. An occasional cabin no thanks, too much like a origami cabin fold this fold that. Nope I couldn't sleep in that. It's clever versatile but not for me. Apart from that storage is excellent, walkways from bow to stern good. Pilot cabin solid cabin and doors nice helm. For me as a day boat yes overnighter no. Axapar 29 seems to be trying to make this boat as flexible ss possible to reach as many types as possible. Sea trial visibility ✅ wider boat bow lift ✅ comfortable at 30 knots✅ at 46 to 47✅ turns stable ✅ she does well at higher speed.
Suntop Boat look like Cross cabin with that to me horrid mutli function cabin with toilet in it UGH and you can sleep there?? That a no for me. The rest of the boat, is for me much better. Area under suntop like the U shape seating area with gallery towards the back on one of the storage bins area, yup that would be mine choice. Good day boat like this much much better than cross cabin. Handles well. ✅ Could be used as a run around for a larger cruiser. Yea. Suntop gets my vote.
These Axopar cabins are useless. No air circularions, akward entry, toilet is ridiculous. Just check Ryck of same size. Next level for this swiss army knife attempt....
Not sure how you did that, I was spending an hr looking at axopar 28 vids and suddenly here you are with the 29 vids, you might be a magician 👏👏❤️🇬🇧
Didn’t I mention that I have a second career as a mind reader?
@@hugoandreae3785 😆you do it well 😜👍❤️
Nice day / weekend boats for fun on the sea. Nice tours Hugo thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it

I agree!
I haven't seen any of the Axopar 29 Sun Tops with harbor cover/canvas. Does it come with covers for when at dock?

Is the soft on the cabin version prone to leaking in bad weather. Lots of daylight can be seen.
It didn’t appear to when it rained a bit on test but I suspect you may get a few drips if it really buckets down or you take a green one over the bow!
What do folks think about the big single (merc 400 V10) vs twins (merc 200 V6)?
Great review on both boats. They seem to have made a good hull great. Does it mean that the 25 is defunct?
No, 25 stays on but 28 will be replaced by this.

You can fit a Cox or Oxe diesel yourself but you’ve got to really want it as the price is around three times the cost of a petrol engine

I suppose it would serve in a pinch like someone getting a headache but not as a dedicated cabin

and that speed was with the single 300.....gonna be 50+ with the twins I bet...

I don’t know, AC, Heat and being dry doesn’t sound bad when the weather isn’t great.
The main cabin doesn't look so bad imo. The front cabin is only for storage or emergency sleeping imo.
the cross cabin A beautiful boat, however the front heads and cabin are a very poor design in my opinion.
