Always brings a smile to my face when l see a new video from you uploaded Aye..age is only a number..keep on riding and hiking 🚶♂️ Beautiful scenery to enjoy Stay safe...
Nice area. We used to camp at Lake St. Peter and loved it up there. I would love to do more of this kind of adventure touring but my wife's declining memory has forced me into fewer and shorter motorcycle outings but I like to get out when I can. I did the Ride for Dad last weekend and the route took us through Merrickville and Jasper on some interesting and twisty back roads. The weather was perfect. Cheers: Bob in North Gower
@@nick949eldo Thanks for your well wishes. It's been very slow progressing so they think it is vascular instead of true Alzheimer's. We have been meeting with the memory clinic for over ten years and it is very slowly getting worse. I don't like leaving her alone for too long. On a lighter note she does occasionally ride on the back for rides of one hour or less and I think she enjoys it. She just got notice that her drivers license is suspended unless she passes some extensive tests which I doubt she will pass. She is not happy about it but I have been doing all the driving for a while so not a big change in the way we do things. In the end it is something that we have to deal with and we are far better off than a lot of families dealing with memory issues. We must remember that things could always be worse. Our 49th anniversary is coming up in July so we have been through a lot together. This is just another challenge that requires us to modify our day to day. Everything changes. It's a fact of life. Happy motoring. Bob
That was a beautiful hike you took Nick ! The Cavalcade looks great ! Cavalcade meaning - A formal procession of people walking or riding vehicles . Looks like you did both ..... in a scenic and quiet environment and a little less formal . Nice !
I still love riding, but I'm lucky if I can walk half a block. I am 65, and have been in this condition for almost 15 years. You are very fortunate. Love your videos.
Thanks Gerald. Sadly, we all get dealt a different hand and I know I'm lucky, especially since I'm 7 years past x3 bypass surgery. At least you can ride. Keep it up and stay safe. Best wishes. Nick.
Enjoyed the video, Nick. I believe Voyager was as good as the Gold Wing. But not in a strong enough way to break the Wing fan club from its machine. Very nice hike and good discipline on your part to get out there. RIDE SAFE OUT THERE NICK! Nick, I made a mistake calling your Cavalcade a Voyager. Sorry about that.
Stumbled across your book, “Do it while you still can” on Audible a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it! While I did not go out and find an old Suzuki Cavalcade or a Panther, it did inspire me to get out and do some exploring of my own, so I got a slightly used Honda. Can’t wait to go find some quiet roads and see what’s around the next corner on it. I will also be listening to more of your books and watching your videos here on TH-cam! Thanks for sharing your stories and travels, and of course, be safe!
Love the video. That's not a miniscule adventure! You also clear up a few misconceptions here: you don't need the latest Africa Twin or GS to have an adventure ride. A bike that gets you there and back is perfect. Second, not every adventure has to include international border crossings and meeting people from another language or culture. When I'm on my trusty old steed on roads I haven't traveled before, I consider that my adventure. Stay safe out there!
You'realmost through the hard part Berni. Keep following the Dr's instructions and no lifting (or riding) for a few weeks. Let that sternum heal. After that, you'll feel like a new man. Walk is much as you can every day. It is the best medicine. In no time you'll be back doing all the things you love. I'm seven years on from my X3 and still feeling good. You will be too. Good luck and best wishes.😃
I tried to do a mountain bike video last week but it didn't turn out too well. Mechanical failures and poor audio made me decide to trash all the footage. I'll try again next week. I've the hiking stuff. Where's the Breva?
You'll get it Ted. The Breva was at home. The Cade has robust, lockable storage so leaving the bike is perfectly safe (and noone would want it anyway).
Another great video Nick; it has motivated me to get out and do a small adventure this weekend. Good choice of music at the end. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear that Bob. Even short rides can be good for the spirit and a welcome break from domestic duties. Best wishes to you and your wife.

gorgeous views at the top, very cool flowers that I think are lady slippers. :)
Another relaxing video. Look forward to the next one.
Me too. I like the calmness and the little short story telling about his experience.
Thank you for sharing Nick. So many great back roads in Eastern Ontario.
thanks Mark
Ride and hike, things I love to do, thanks for sharing.

I rode to Barry's Bay once specifically to take a picture of my bike with the Avro Arrow monument. Fantastic area!

No problem Dewayne. They're all more or less alike. 😄
Thanks for the adventure. Winter here in New Zealand.
I suspect I'd love NZ at any time of year. 😀
Thanks
love the church!

My Scarabeo 500 isn't the typical gravel exploration vehicle either but so far hasn't read the reviews. Nice one Nick!
Very nice. I’m headed to Audible.

Such a good vibe. This video is especially inspiring as I'm, today, 9 days out from quadruple by-pass surgery. It's good to see you're well.

what kind of cameras do you use?
On this one I was mostly using an old GoPro2 and my Samsung A51 phone. I just bought a new GoPro12. Better video quality in the future....I hope.
