My sons car was due for the MOT, I noticed that the break light bulb was dead . This video is top notch, it explained fully the procedure. The biggest problem was getting the tool container out , it took two of us and 15 minutes, lots of pulls and wiggles hard work. If it was not for this video , I would have been looking for a retaining screw. Needless to say putting it back 20 seconds.

I had to change that right hand side brake light today and by goodness that tyre repair kit was an absolute nightmare to get out of the boot, I have arthritis in my hands and I was struggling like mad. Changing the bulb was easy but that polystyrene liner nearly finished me off. Thankfully I had a few spare bulbs lying around but they were the double filament type and luckily I found one single filament bulb out of a halfords kit. Definitely buy another single filament bulb to put back in the kit which will live in that ridiculously small glove box 😂

Careful what brake light bulb you get, my 2006 corsa has a single filament 21watt bulb that works as the stop and tail. It uses a reduced voltage to light it as a 5w bulb but gets brighter when the brake is applied. So it is not a standard 21w/5w stop /tail double filament bulb. Give your car registration to the spares place and they will check on the computer which bulb is listed for your car, or take the old bulb in.
the brake light is a 21w single filament bulb, side light is a 5w single filament bulb, I will put some links in the description Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
@@aaanton11 The brake light bulb also serves as the secondary (top) sidelight bulb even though it is only of the single filament 382 type. My son has a Corsa D and when the brake light bulb failed it meant that he also lost the rear secondary top tail light. Halfords recommend a twin filament 21w/5w bulb type 380 for the Corsa D brake light standard brake light bulb but clearly, this is factually incorrect.
How many brake light bulbs are there? I got Corsa D 1.2 2010. When I brake only the top LED light comes on where the rear window washer is. So I think the brake bulb that. Your doing is gone
My foam insert was one solid piece just ended up taking a knife to it 🤦🏾♂️ but if it wasn't for your video I would of thought it was part of the body work it was in there so tight
@@aaanton11 I can also recommend a hairdryer to warm the clips they came off so easy and a quick spray of soap on the foam part in the right side that can be difficult it came out quickly
