- Having a healthy perspective in the middle of challenging circumstances is essential and it happens from the inside out, when we learn how to guard our heart. Psalm 119 verse 112 teaches us that we need to, “incline our hearts” toward God’s purposes. We can’t focus on changing the behavior alone, we need to do the work of shifting the beliefs that drive the behavior; sometimes we need to learn how to reset our hearts.
But what do we do when we have a good reason to be afraid? What about when we feel overlooked, or left out? What if we feel like we don’t have what it takes to meet the expectations of others? Steven Furtick addresses these tensions head on to help us find and fix our faulty beliefs. But here’s the twist, though it has to happen in my heart, it doesn’t start in my heart, it starts with my habits...
We pray God uses this message to do what only He can; heal it at the heart level and help you experience lasting change in the areas you need most.

Thank you for this message! I hate alcohol. I have lost countless friends and family members to this disease. I am a recovering alcoholic of 32 plus years. In the early years it was a way to relax and be sociable with others. One day it turned on me and it was no longer about fun it was about how it made me feel. It made me feel alone even in the midst of people and started to destroy the relationships with people I loved and cared about. The hardest part was when I turned away from God. I will be forever grateful that I found my way back to him in the middle of my mess. I have learned God will meet you right where you are. I love your Sermons and your wife's. After my ex girlfriend cheated on me I gave up almost all my social media accounts except for Instagram because some of them were toxic and it was keeping me away from God. I was thirsty for the word of God and I stumbled upon your TH-cam channel from then on I've binge watching your sermons that somehow I can relate to in what I've been through and going through right now. Indeed it's heartbreaking to lose someone you love, but at the same time I believe God interfered in our relationship because he knows she doesn't deserve my love for her and God is preparing someone for me that matches my faithfulness and unconditional love. I totally understand.. I have been alone for 6 years now, and I actually love it. I do get lonely, but I have been so focused on God, and He feeds my soul with everything a human can't give me. He will never hurt me, and I can depend on Him. I don't look for a man to have a relationship with anymore, because I am finally happy. I finally have found value in myself, and God's love is unconditional! Stay blessed...

Lemenpie I can relate so much. Recently ended my 5 year relationship with the man I thought I would marry. He cheated on me. I now realize God had been sending me signs but I just never listened. Now I am fully focused on Him and getting to know Him better through his Word. I’m reading the Bible, praying, I’m going to start going to church, God willing when this Pandemic can finally be over but for now I’m joining online services. It feels amazing to finally get to truly feel and know His love. For so long I allowed other things to take precedence over Him. Not anymore.

Going through a heart break. The pain comes in waves and I find my self swallowed with grief. Blessed with this message because I know God will be the only person who understands this pain and still won’t break it no matter what.
I love how REAL you are. One thing I really don't like is a pastor who says "be this and this" and doesn't say "I'm also trying to be this because I'm human. I'm not perfect" makes me feel like ANYTHING is possible 💕💕

The mind is ruled by the ego, the heart is ruled by the soul. The heart is the link to the spiritual world. The heart only speaks love, it doesn't have fear, hate, sorrow - those are from your ego mind. Silence the mind, listen to the heart and align with what it says.

God is always 🙏 on time... I have been feeling disgusted with my idle behaviour..this is exactly what I need is soul food. I have a lot of hate comparing myself to others on social media in my current career. I do hate Procrastination because it's a zit that I picked that I knew I shouldn't and it leaks puss causing me to be left with envy and it's costing me so many relationships as well as not succeeding because what do you know. Lee would be winning if she just kept consistentcy like her fellow team mates who are hitting their goals every month. Can I HATE not winning. That's up probably too many bad habits wrapped in the not Winning.

Which now I regret it because out of all of the other few relationships I've had she truly deserved my open heart from the beginning. I needed this, it’s been 2 years since my life was changed! I was with someone for 14 years and had 3 kids. We don’t even talk anymore, due to boundaries thankfully he still shows up for the kids. But I’m so much more happier in my life ❤️. I don’t know what to expect tomorrow and what my future brings but I know that I trust God and I will let him guide me so I know it will be beautiful!

Hate is a very strong word for me. I recently had to end a 6 year relationship because I was not happy. The fact that I miss her is confusing, but in a wonderful way, I had the strength to end it. We are both at fault for not giving it 100%. I will be a man & say that I was not perfect at all. I work so much, I completely focused on the future rather than my own relationship, & that's something I was afraid of. But God is telling me that this is not for me right now. I still love her. Maybe one day we will meet again because I don't hate her. We will go our own paths & I will work on myself to become a better man. Nothing is more important than a relationship with God. I wish nothing but the best for her & with the man she is talking to currently. Please keep me in your prayers.
You never know what could happen.
The man I am with now broke up with me last year because God was telling him our relationship wasn't right which was correct.
We were toxic together and we weren't making God the center of our relationship.
Our break up and having time to ourselves to think (not time to go hook up with different people and be "free") but truly be alone and think and pray....it really helped us and we got back together.
I am currently struggling with my faith but that's okay.Jesus is always with me no matter what.
I am just no longer the angry ball of fire I used to be😂

I haven't been hating self pity enough in my life. I look back now and realize it was me who allowed my heart to be broken because always sends us signs that this is not going in the right direction. This goes for relationships of all types. Now when I recognize it, I make sure to keep my distance. Your sermons always wake up something new in my spirit every time.
Literally going through this now! God spoke so clearly to me multiple times, and I still continued. Now I'm heart broken but I know God has forgiven me and now I just need to work on forgiving myself and figuring out how to move on from here.
Your ministry was the most friutful ever in my life. I threw 5 seeds down. And watered three of them for over 30 to 40 minutes each and prayed with disabled homless woman at 9 pm in city i spent 30 years ago while rescueing my alcaholic brother who i dropped of at treatment center. On my 700 mile journey with nervous bulldog with me. Happiest 10 days of life since hearing this man preach

Years ago I used to feel like I hated myself. I’m coming to learn that this isn’t true, I just hate some of my default behaviors and attitudes. I hate that I give my heart away too freely, and I hate that i put too much weight on giving and receiving help from others instead of going to Christ. Take Charge of My Heart
I've listened to this before but it popped up today so I listened again and God knew I needed to hear this again. I was cheering in agreement with the intro, "SET IT AND FORGET IT" it's so true. My heart always goes to a default position of sadness, discouraged, and despair. I'm grateful for this reminder about what's my responsibility when it comes to my ❤.

Within the past week something happened between someone I’m really close to who I never ever wanted to lose. Extremely felt the “love to do it but hate what it does to me” because I loved being with them, talking to them etc but overtime it was eating away from me, and I lowkey knew but I loved it so much that it didn’t matter. I did something not healthy and that made the other person realize what was actually happening to me and how I was deteriorating mentally and they decided that the best thing to do was end our relationship and since, I’ve been so hopeless and keep thinking about the things I could’ve done differently the night we ending things. But at the same time, I am excited for what this means for me and God since if it didn’t work out that means that God never had it in my plan. It hurts so much to say that though. This sermon has definitely made me feel better. Thank you Pastor 🙏
