One started as a drummer The other started as a keyboardist Then they both switched instruments So they both have the insight of the other players funtion Which makes for a super tight pair Super pimp tight
This was such a great show, and jd was gracious enough to get me and 5 other friends tickets to the show. We witnessed greatness the video does not do it justice… still a good listen though
It makes me so happy to see them playing this again only this time it’s after they blew up and got signed on to a record label! Legends and it’s amazing to see.
When JD was in kindergarten the teacher said, let’s count to 4 and JD took it personal. When Domi was in preschool.. teacher started singing.. “a b c d, e f g..” and Domi stood up and said hold up..
i replayed it so many times fisrt to see how they were able to cue eachother in like that, then relized it was basically eyecontact and domi's left hand on the last song. After all that i think i was able to catch one time where JD wanted to cue in the next stage of the song but for whatever reason domi did not want to and they waited another 4 bars or so to start the next stage of the song at 5:46 . i like to think Domi played that piano fill right there to speak to JD to keep playing. ofc no one noticed because they are professionals and obvously been playing together for years.
they might actually be the best musicians i have ever seen in my life and he is definately the best drummer as his control over the timeings and tones of where he hits the drum is precise. also domi has the most insane control of sliptting her brain into multiple sections to control each finger and both feet at once and also she has done this whislt sing too wtf.
They are to me like sonic children of Return to Forever and...I dunno...Lady Gaga? Just a beautiful duo doing something amazing and fun and REAL. I can't wait to see them sometime. I tell you what, for everyone digging them, check the OPPOSITE side of the coin and give Svaneborg Kardyb a listen.
The fact that these two exist at the same time and found one another so early on is remarkable
@The Drummers Corner and you came all the way here to say that? That’s sad
@The Drummers Corner bros hating for what lmfao
@thedrummerscorner1018touch some grass my man
How great would it have been to have Doom rap over this live?
*DOOM
When following the measure switches? I like to hear that yes. but this does not need anything else and stands on its own imo
RIP
@@MCEEZR “just remember ALL CAPS when you spell the man name!”

Humble musicians but so awesome, talked to domi for like 30 mins after the show
These kids are really good. It also makes you appreciate the original album that much more.
and the other way around :)
good. more. when more then more good. thanks please, over and out.
Dragging those hats, rushing the snare and keeping the kick on point? Def-Dilla 100%
the influences are undeniable
The time surfers. Great to witness such levels of ability. Thanks for sharing
HOW'D I MISS THIS?!?!?!? I've been to the hall a few times now, I should pay closer attention to their lineup!
& on my birthday weekend no less! Damn.
It makes me so happy to see them playing this again only this time it’s after they blew up and got signed on to a record label! Legends and it’s amazing to see.
RAISE IT UP AT THE END WENT TOO CRAZY WTF! 🔥🔥🔥
Can’t believe I missed this show. Love going to Felton to see acts at the music hall. I don’t think I’ll stop kicking myself over this one…

@The Drummers Corner but you can see JD’s trying to make eye contact
what the frick? how they so good? this was insane to watch
These two are brilliant!
Love it when the camera man is vibin to the music
Sounds like jazzy drum&bass isn't it?😍
Simple as
jazzy drum n bass with a bit of lo fi and 90s boom bap mixed all together
They play the beats from Madvillainy album.
@@Simon-cr5ff who sampled another artist Lonnie Smith with the song "In the beginning" from 1966
@@Filyp_ Sure. Most of the beats if not all of them are samples.

Wow wow wow the feeeels
It be Super Great, Especially if the Message Received Be Empowering & Powerful like their Playing..A Oneness of Mind & Body...Yeah

Hi. We number one
Nice version of a jazz Standard i can't Remember it's name. Domi playing Bassline on piano and feet crazy shizzle.
I think it's Nardis. The Bill Evans tune
@@amitavr5711 Yes indeed, thanks dude!
I love those bass pedals
Lonnie Smith "In the beginning" 1966
Ahh yes the old standard all caps
I just know Doom would have collab'd with them if he were still here man.
pure fire!!!

What’s that beat around 4:49?!? It’s on the tip of my tongue. The bass line is so distinct in my mind
@@cottoncottoncotton thank you!!

That's "All Caps"

bro when did JD hit puberty
Stood next to him the other day. I’m 6ft and dude looked like an absolute child next to me. Doesn’t make him any less of a badass though.

3:51 listen to rush much?
2:10
Call it a blessing…but I feel JD and DoMi are the most direct connection and influence to MF Doom for Gen Z
does anyone know what the first song is?
5:20 This sounds like Dilla/Slum Villiage raise it up to me? what madvilliany song is that?
It is indeed
Thank you for pointing this out.. I love J Dilla and Slum V just as much as the next man, but that's a weird way to end a Madvilliany tribute..
Macs Slingerland?

Hmm, deliciouse .
What is small keyboard on top??
It looks like an M-Audio MK3 61-key Keyboard Controller.
But... Why end a Madvilliany tribute with J Dilla and Slum village? 🤷🏿♂️
because it was the next song in the set list, and it sounded good put together 🍟
Why is DOMi (still) using sheet music? Strange at this point for this tune.
WE want praise from like minded musicians - not American style euphoria chap at a cockroach climbing a wall.
Playing drums as a sport..
Those guys ruin most songs.
you're ruining the incredible music with your idiotic statement
