I've not had any panic attacks since I've had my Benji and Zippy. They make me laugh and watching them really helps in the moment to stop me overthinking my problems. They really do help.😊

I had a piggy that needed medication twice a day. He loved to cuddle and laying his head on my shoulder. Especially when I was down, his cuddles were longer and sometimes he even licked me. He really took care of me. I last him two weeks ago 😭 He was 7 years old.
I am so sorry to hear that. It's never easy to lose a good companion that was here to help us go through difficult times. You really took care of him and did whatever was possible to do. My guinea pigs especially Matteo , can sense when I'm super stressed out and just having a very off day, he does too! He'll be more selective on his eating of veggies or sometimes not eat as much of his pellets or his hay depending on the day. My boys live in their cages behind my desk where I spend most of my time when I am home, of course I do spend time upstairs with the girls too. But if i'm having a very off day it affects Matteo, and he's the only one it happens to. None of the other piggies have that I guess bond, with me. Which is so very interesting because of all my guinea pigs Matteo is the newest I've had only since May. When I'm in a great mood, and not stressed or emotionally unbalanced, he has a great stress free day eating like normal! So it's a wake up call that to ensure my guinea pigs well being and remain stress free, I have to try to remain stress free !
That's awesome to see that your Matteo has a special power to recognize your mood. Those little creatures are very sensitive to their environment and they can tell us that something unusual is going on. Take good care of Matteo and the other.
great video and information has always and i can confirm that when when my wife was not well that my piggys lay down by her feet during floor time but most times they run through the tunnels that i put down for them so they detect stress in us in some ways .
I am always amaze to see how guinea pigs react to our own emotion. It is not surprising that they can be very helpful when we go through a difficult moments. Thanks for your comments.
