@@DigitalDreamsyt i think its possibe if modders will have base engine for modding like it.its hard but for future i think it will be new modding starting base and with some future AI powers we will live in skyrim 😅
bethesda graphics always lacked considering the scope and console limitations. It was the newness, scale, and adventure that made it immersive. Mods were made immediately for the game to improve visuals.
Very impressive, yes modded skyrim can look better but to think that is Skyrim on a new engine, wow, this community has a passion for this game and i love to watch any content about it
The developers of Skyrim have acknowledged that Romania served as one of the inspirations for the game's setting. The architecture, landscapes, and culture of Romania can be seen in various aspects of Skyrim, particularly in the design of the city of Whiterun and the surrounding areas.
Honestly one thing that annoyed me very much with even a 4000+ mods Skyrim is clipping in landscape textures. Even when optimized you will always textures which don’t match each other. The ue version looks much better and transitions are smooth
you don't need UE5 for that... pretty sure original Skyrim modded with some better (sky)light and shadow shaders that look like UE5's Lumen will be just as fine (and still actually playable)
they should make another remastered unreal engine 5 version for people that don't know how to mod like a simple setup and they can play it like this with full optimization too work without a hitch
That would be crazy to replace as much as possible each assets by scans, reconsidering spawn density and general level art. Also even tweak a bit the lightning, add FXs and fixing the lods...
*MAN!!! I can't wait to get a 24GB RTX 5080 Ti with 384-bit bus width memory. June-September 2025.* 🥰 *Then I can play jacked up games like this. A 3080 10GB to a 5080 Ti will be a huge jump.*
I know it's an old game, but Skyrim is still my favourite. I keep coming back to it time & time again. It's even better with some visual mod overhauls for landscape & character creation. A couple armor mods too. I don't need much LOL
The plank walkways and steps looked plastic, as well as some of the stone road sections, then there's too much crisp lines between objects. The mountains looked great from a distance, water surface was decent, the trees looked good. UE does some cool graphics, but it still comes down to models and textures, if the models and textures aren't up to snuff they stick out like a sore thumb - like the boards on the steps and the stone roads I mentioned ..
Awesome job as always! Looking so good already. Imagine implementing the other graphical mods on top of this, would take graphics to another world. We might need a 5090 to run this.
The rivers need more work. They look more like lakes with standing water instead of streaming as they should. Where is the salmon jumping out of the rapids?
If this is the basics of what UE5 can do for Skyrim, I would gladly buy the game over again for a fully developed version. In the meantime: Mod, mod, mod, mod.
Honestly this is what should be used to create a tv show with. Its purty. =) If they could sequence in the storyline and present it as a series. Bueno. muaw! ..but as someone else mentioned, mods would be needed to enhance this base model with the works.
What's the point of a port without a total replacement of textures and models for more realistic ones? It's the same game with slightly better shading and weather. Some mods give almost the same effect.
That's really awesome! But how can games be ported to UE5? I imagine it to be very difficult but there are many older titles already ported to it (at least in early stages)
I don’t see why people don’t believe you that this is U5… you did a great job and I’m hoping to upgrade to a newer gaming pc to play on graphics like this. You’ve earned a subscriber. Much love brother!
i saw an AI tech demo that looked better than anything UE5 has to offer, though this does look good, it's suddenly outdated in comparison to that AI tool, it was projected to replace all games in the near future of gaming. one of the games they showed was skyrim, they showed other games as well, and it was crazy to see.
Ok guys I can say that if and IF the game TES6 can look and this level then Ok but I doubt it with the engine they use for TES6 Bethesda better bring it. We Shall See I take it these r default assets although some things look as if it has a plastic like look IMO ... but over all looks great Vote for UE5 Engine for TES6 as long as Bethesda can r could pull it off?
Yeah yeah. UE5 looks pretty and all, but its poorly optimized, overheats systems unless you have a $2k rig, and games made in it are always buggy and full of complaints about performance.
It looks fine, but the next gen Elder scrolls will be so much better. THere is no atmospherics, detail to the meshes, no ambient movement to the vegetation, the rock meshes are very low res. The water looks nice.
I dislike how terribly inefficient UE5 is at many things, you can't deny it can pull of some sweet looking visuals. Currently on a wabbajack install, Elysium Remastered, while this lack its detail, it's a much better starting point
I'd rather see Morrowind in UE5. I personally didn't care much for skyrim, other than the graphic improvements. I didn't much care for the whole dragonborn thing and the interface was HORRIBLE because it was designed for consoles. I could only stomach it for a few about 10 or 15 hours before I deleted it off my HD.
It's clearly stuttering, even without having NPCs or particles. This Unreal engine seems more and more like a superficially pretty unoptimized piece of bloat.
i know bethesda is partial to their gamebryo engine but they need to upgrade to the unreal engine. or completely update/overhaul their gamebryo engine.
They do, the author of this port states explicitly that his goal was to port the engine into EU5, which he did. He states he'll leave the mods and enhanced textures to the community.
honestly, some of the best modded skyrim setups look not too far from this.
@@jesse2535 modded skyrim still looks better for sure, but this is very early work here.
@@DigitalDreamsyt it's a testament to the quality too, it looks faithful to the game, it could be a great base to mod in the future.
It's true. What breaks the immersion are the animations at that point.

Not even close.
That is how Skyrim looked and felt for me when i first played it as a kid 13 years ago
just install LoreRim and you got it!
this is how skyrim feels to me now playing nolvus ascension
And they say Skyrim had bad graphics
bethesda graphics always lacked considering the scope and console limitations. It was the newness, scale, and adventure that made it immersive. Mods were made immediately for the game to improve visuals.
@R3G4L101 nah see, i played this game for the first time in 2013, and I loved it's graphics till I saw it's special edition graphics

Actually impressing how good modded Skyrim can be made to look if this is UE5, since this could easily pass as a normal Skyrim video
LoreRim 3.0, Wunduniik and Nolvus v6 do look a lot better in comparison. This is still an interesting port though! :)
The effects of water are not comparable.
@@Titouling No you can achieve very similar water effects now.

@@KnightmareUSA very likely but i meant their own old Creation engine

This looks really good. I play on xbox. Yes, we have some good mods but, not that good. Not that crisp. That is beautiful.
How much resources takes/uses the ue5 with skyrim?
Genuinely impressed this looks amazing✨
Sigh. Maybe one day Bethesda will produce a game that looks this good. That isn't riddled with bugs.
The problem with Bethesda is the writing and not finishing the game they're lazy not the they're engine
The rivers need more work. They look more like lakes with standing water instead of streaming as they should. Where is the salmon jumping out of the rapids?
Everything very early yet
crazy graphics!!!!
This just reminds me... playing on a controller makes me have flash backs to the horrible week I had to wear a neck brace 😁

Looks great, but why not any combat?
Hopefully TESVI looks like this or better !!!!
Awesome, Although I think it might break my RTX 4080 if I tried it in VR with 200 wabberjack mods, 10 fps I bet ;)
What are the best visual mods for Xbox X version?
Aside from the waters, the rest of the graphics look pretty on par with a good moded Skyrim list.
I would say worse then good modded skyrim. But it is very early port
