So awesome to see all the technology advancements in drag racing over the past 15 years. You aussies are killing the inline 6 game. I had a 1000whp e36 328 in 2006ish that I drag raced. Ran a best of 9.92 @ 156 and that was on a super prepped track (MIR). Tuning has come so far. We ran electromotive tec3 stand alone and had to fly in a tuner from Canada. (He had tuned Andy frosts world fastest street car at the time). Things like ethanol, injectors bigger than 1600cc, boost by gear and so much more have progressed the scene so much. Makes this old ex racer proud to see people still pushing the limits.
That was a wise decision to take the Pro Street cars off Hawko. Although King32 got the 7, it wasn't in the true street trim that makes Coota, Coota. 😎👍
@@Anonbruzz That was at WSID, not Coota, and it's best while a street car was 7.00. When he ran the 7.97 at Coota, the car had already run 6.60 at WSID and been converted to Pro Street trim, and since Coota is about True Street and not Pro Street, it becomes invalid.
@@MafiaboysWorld I don't have any dramas with that happening because of rule changes it is what it is but to remove the name of a workshop of who built the car a bit childish but not surprised
The quality of all the builds is epic. Need to figure out a way to attend next year and see/hear this for myself. So good! Amazing to see mick walking away from that off.
CRD were overseas. Maatouks customers paid to enter but not sure why they didn’t turn up. Event got postponed due to rain so gained some and lost come competitors
I really don't get why most of those cars are running a hard side wall drag radial instead of a soft side wall Hoosier bias ply slick tire on that kind of surface.

In some stupid broken weird ass lebo English that no one that speaks proper English can barely understand and everyone else just knows that the vl has become embarrassing to drive? Well the GTR is now just like that!OoooooOoommmyyYyyGgggggod geeeeddddRrrrrr bro.
its all about weight transfer. that mr2 makes a fraction of the power as these cars, due to the engine being rear mounted there is no need for weight transfer. on one of its runs it even brought a wheel up thats how hard it 60's. the same setup in a front mount engine setup would barely run a 9.9.

King32 got 7.3 in full street trim in 2018. Shame little Hawks still butt hurt to remove the garage names and their time.

E85 or E98. Some cars run petrolem based race fuel.
