Not that I'm a make a guru or anything but I know that you're only supposed to have either a bold lip and a neutral eye or a bold eye and a neutral lip just saying
You're not SUPPOSED to do anything. It looks more 'natural' or better, it's easier on the eyes and more forgiving and it's something anyone can pull of. If you're confident enough and don't get lost in the colors or in just overall doing you're makeup, please do go for a smokey eye and a red lip. Or anything else. It's all about confidence and how you actually do you're makeup. Plus, this is a challenge, you have to do your best and go all out.
callie summers I've actually found that depending on the look I'm going for and what kind of dark colors I'm using on my eyes, that a bold lip with a smokey eye can actually look very beautiful. However, it's all about what you like best :) Just my opinion.
