I don't know if anyone has thought about it too, but it feels so strange and funny to listen to Scykoh explaining things about Pokémon. As I grew up playing this game, some things just seem trivial to me to the point I've never stopped to think that not everyone would understand the game so quickly as I believe they should.

Quick note to anyone playing along in the remakes: the Kanto gyms get their puzzles back in HgSS. So, Surge has that electric gate up again. Also, they are MUCH tougher than they are in the originals. Like, instead of being around E4 level, they're champion level or higher. And don't even get me started of Viridian Gym...
You know you can just surf past the bush right? So you don't have to learn cut again...

I'm glad they took that stupid trash can puzzle out of this game. It's not even a puzzle, it's luck.
Jay R. Not quite. Once you find the switch in the trash can, the next one can only be in a trash can next to it (expect for one in the corner that's slightly glitched). It's a 1/4 chance to get it right, so while there is some luck involved, it's not entirely random either.

hey scykoh! you should be able to fly back to johto if you fly to the E4, go down to the gates, and go left to mount silver. It's technically in Johto. I don't remember when you unlock the path to mt silver, I think it's after beating the E4 but I could be wrong!
You can't go to Mt. Silver unless you have 16 badges. You could still fly to Indigo Plateau, then head down through Tohjo Falls before then, but that's something you should only do if you can't wait for Sunday/Wednesday or don't have the Train Ticket.
ahh okay, gotcha. my mistake! its been a while since I played Crystal, I just remember doing that as a "shortcut" when I was younger. Thanks for the correction!

On a scale of 1-10, forgetting that you can SURF AROUND THE TREE is very annoying to me.
Double team is not banned from official VGC competitive play, but what your talking about has to do with a very controversial part of the Pokemon community, plus evasion has been nerfed into the ground in recent generations
Why use cut when you can just surf around the tree...
Why didn't you just Surf around the Cut tree? Then you wouldn't have to teach Rita Cut again. Also, skipping those trainers on the S.S. Aqua is a bad thing because you can never battle them if you skip them. There is three sets of trainers on the S.S. Aqua, one for the first time you're on the ship, one for heading from Olivine to Vermilion, and one for heading from Vermilion to Olivine.
This is the way to do a sequel

Due to the way Japanese has accents, it's pronounced as Con/cahn- to.
In English it is, but Japan pronounces it like Scykoh did I believe
If you can't level up your Pokemon for stadium clone your Pokemon using the pc save glitch.
Hayden Weitzel cloning in Crystal is a lot more dangerous than it is in gold/silver. It's a lot easier to accidentally permanently lose the pokemon you're trying to clone, get a bad clone/ruin a pc box, or worse, corrupt your save
teknicolorteeth Really? I've tried A LOT to get a bad clone for the Celebi trick, but no luck...
Its definitely tricky if you're trying to do it! I got a couple bad clones by accident when I was a kid, I don't think I got the right kind of bad clone for the celebi glitch though, but I was young so I don't remember super well and I didn't know about the celebi trick back then, so I didn't try.
Cloning is still very much possible in Crystal and its still relatively easy, but there seems to be a bigger timing window where it can go wrong. Worst that's happened to me in Crystal is losing the pokemon(and item) I was trying to clone, and the bad clones, and glitching out a PC box.

If you are completing the game fully, but can't bring pokemon over level 50 to pokemon stadium, then why don't you clone your pokemon and keep the lower leveled pokemon in your pc

It is safest in Gold/Silver, a bit more difficult/risky in Crystal, and its technically possible in RBY but its really easy to mess that one up and lose your save file (I learned that the hard way)

*YO! HELLO AND WELCOME TO ANOTHER AMAZING DAY OF POKÉMON! LET'S GET THINGS STARTED!* ^_^
Today is going to be an awesome day! I can already tell! Today I'm going to tackle my first Kanto Gym! ^_^
The Gym's Leader is Lt. Surge! The Lightning American! I'm looking forward to seeing what I can do in Kanto! ^_^
But for now, I decided to stop off at the Pokémon Fan Club! ^_^

After listening to a rather disturbing story about Rapidash, I got a Rare Candy from the PokéFan Club Chairman! ^_^
After healing up at the local PokéCenter, it's now time to take on the Vermillion City Gym! ^_^
My first challenger was a Juggler named Horton who started things off by sending out his Electrode so I decided to let Knox play with this Pokéball look-alike! ^_^
Knox did the same for the other three Electrodes produced by Horton! ^_^
My next challenger was a Guitarist named Vincent who started things off by sending out his Magnemite so I decided to let Pooh play with this bipolar baddie! ^_^
Vincent then sent out his Voltorb so I decided to let Pooh take Round Two! ^_^
As a result of this battle, Pooh grew to Level 41! YAY! ^_^

Vincent then sent out his second Magnemite so I decided to let Pooh take Round Three! ^_^
Vincent then sent out his *third* Magnemite so I decided to let Pooh take Round Four! ^_^
My next challenger was a Gentleman named Gregory who started things off by sending out his Pikachu! ^_^

Surge then sent out his Electrode so I decided to let Knox hold down the fort for now! ^_^
Surge then sent out his Magneton so I decided to let Pooh play with this multipolar menace. ^_^
As a result of this battle, Pooh grew to Level 42! YAY! ^_^

Surge then sent out his second Electrode so I decided to let Knox play with this Pokéball pest! ^_^
Surge then sent out his Electabuzz so I decided to let Pooh play with this electric enemy! ^_^
As a result of my resounding victory, Surge awarded me with 4600PKD *and* the Thunderbadge! ^_^
