I like his movies and the fly on the wall shots throughout all his movies work because of the story but I’m much more in favor of letting the camera capture the story with more than just being a fly on the wall observing the story

I have changed my tune based on a previous comment. I watched his first film and thought it was some of the most powerful cinema I have seen in quite some time.

Glad that you changed your opinion. If you haven't seen Amour or The White Ribbon, I certainly recommend them.

@@antoinepetrov Yeah I was a little harsh on him. He isn’t a horrible filmmaker and I have seen Amour, although that was ages ago. Didn’t really enjoy it at the time, but I guess I can give it another shot.
