When I first heard about directors as a child and what they do, it still basically confused me, it seemed vague and for 2 or 3 years of my young life I thought that they didn't play much of a role. Having seen a bunch of great movies now, films that have stuck with me and successfully conveyed complex emotions and messages that I thought weren't possible to convey with so much style, I understood better how important their role was. Even with that said, this gives me a whole other respect for what truly great directors do, what a commanding dude Michael Haneke is, seriously this is unbelievably cool to see.
