It's funny how the guy who plays Voldemort in the Harry Potter movies (Ralph Finnes) voices Alfred in this movie but they got a different actor to voice Lego Voldemort.
I love how it is possible to interpret every line of dialogue in this movie as a child playing with toys. I can literally see this movie from the perspective of a boy.
As a connoisseur of DC Comics, I love how many obscure villains show up to help the Joker and later Batman. I also love how the film delves into Batman's loneliness, and the arc he goes through, learning to move on from his past trauma and let new loved ones into his life.
Tbh, The Lego Batman Movie it probably my favorite Batman movie. After so many depictions of Batman being so overly-indulgent in the whole dark-gritty thing, it's nice to have a movie that actually has fun with itself more.
And it does so while still brilliantly analyzing the character. "Wait does Batman live in Bruce Wayne's basement?" "No! Bruce Wayne lives in Batman's attic!" It's a great joke, but it's also such a low-key but important truth about the character that too many people don't get.
Regarding the family thing, that's actually why this is the best Batman movie of them all. Batman movies routinely depict him as a grim loner, but in the comics he's had a big found family and been both a father figure and an actual father for _decades,_ family is arguably the most important aspect of Batman comics - and we never get to see that part adapted! Whereas in this movie it's front and center.
For real, a lot of Batman adaptations (looking at you Snyder) don’t understand the character at all (although for Snyder that goes for most of the characters lol)
3:05: The Killer Croc bit is a reference to the 2016 Suicide Squad movie; he was part of the team and some criticized it for not giving him anything to do until late in the movie, when he went underwater to do something
Batman is not billionaire, it is Bruce Wayne. Also it is Bruce Wayne who pays taxes not batman because technically batman doesn't have any official citizenship id card, by official records he don't exist.
Zoë Kravitz voices is Catwoman in this, before she was cast in The Batman… which was why I was disappointed in The Batman she didn’t and her senses with “meow meow” lol
I watched this film when I was younger with my mum and she hated it for reasons that I too this day I cannot understand. It was an amazing film with amazing and one of the most fun interpretations of Batman to date. I’ll have to bring it up to her at some point.
It makes sense Batman would hate Ironman though. Genius billionaire with no magic or alien DNA who fights crime with fancy tech and a suit of armor, Bruce probably thinks Tony is copping his style.
For movies you likely haven't watched before, I would suggest old movies from the 90's and maybe even 80's that were super popular at the time but ppl probably don't remember them now with so many options available to them. The four that I would suggest to start with would be: "Swordfish" with Hugh Jackman and John Travolta, "Face/Off" with Nicholas Cage and John Travolta, "Gone in 60 Seconds" with Nicholas Cage, and "Demolition Man" with Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes. All great action flicks. P.s. Just had a random thought, after re-watching "Gone in 60 Seconds", I'm disappointed in Vin Diesel not bringing in Nicholas Cage to play the role of Dante (Jason Mamoa) for Fast X. Instead of the son, he could've been a brother, and a lot more fun being crazy in the film. An awesome "what if..." in my mind.
@ANGELINAA.. also fun fact, the costume Dick grabs in the movie is labelled Nightwing, which is the mantel he took on after he retired from being Robin!
I was beginning to watch the video, and totally forgot that I clicked on the LEGO Batman video and was questioning about why in the intro, she talks about her legos. I just found it interesting that she talked about them, but seriously forgot why she would be talking about them 😂I'm so dumb😂
Lmao I was at my dnd session the other day and this movie came up in our conversation brought the session and we just stopped midway to watch this whole movie this is one hell of a coincidental surprise.
Tony Stark: "Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist." Bruce Wayne: "Billionaire, bon vivant, gallivanter, playboy, Gotham's most eligible bachelor, like 90 years in a row."
It's actually really uncomfortable watching Bruce flirt with Barbara because most (emphasis on MOST, ignoring that one comic timeline) she's kinda like a niece to Bruce. She dates Dick, who's a child in this movie, and it's genuinely a bit odd to watch. That being said, it kinda felt as if they were memeing us by making Babs his love interest
7:48 A nice reference to the '40s Columbia serials, which I missed when Alfred went through his list. They're terrible (particularly the first one, riding heavy on ugly WWII anti-Japanese sentiment) but they made a couple of important contributions: the Batcave (or "Bat's Cave") was created for the first serial, and the unintentional silliness inspired the 1966 camp TV show.
Angelina, thank you so much for making a reaction video to this amazing movie. It’s the best Batman satire and best LEGO movie ever made. You are the best, and I appreciate you watching this! 😊❤❤🦇🦇
I like how you keep loving that batman is a dad in this and I'm sure it's just bc of the Lego Batman and his personality lol. But I just find it funny that batman has literally been a father four times in his story. Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damien lol
unrelated to the movie reaction but I think Rango (2011) would bring a good reaction out of Ange. the humor, the stack cast, the plot, everything seems to fall in line with Ange's previous reactions towards animated movies. Hope to see them in the future
Yep this is better than the Dark Knight Trilogy, who wants to watch Batman running around Chicago sounding like he has a sore throat when you can watch Lego Batman with Robin and Batgirl. Also I love that they brought back Billy Dee Williams for Two Face who of course played Harvey Dent in Batman 89 and was planned to return as Two-Face in Burtons planned third film.
Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019) is an okay sequel with lots of references👍 for Halloween I suggest 9 (2009) a creepy animated movie for the holiday
While when you get to the details they are very different, Batman and Iron Man are both billionaire playboy, geniuses with tons of cool gadgets and are one of the founding members of their franchise's most famous super hero groups...of course Lego Batman would have "Iron Man sucks" as his password.
I took my kids to see this at the cinema, and pretty much every joke went over their heads. Not one kid in the cinema got the humour of the movie, the in-jokes, callbacks to other movies etc etc. The only people who understood was me, and 1 other dad who was about 3 rows behind us. Rest of the cinema was silent.
Special thanks to my patrons
Please watch Rush 2013
It's funny how the guy who plays Voldemort in the Harry Potter movies (Ralph Finnes) voices Alfred in this movie but they got a different actor to voice Lego Voldemort.
It's Eddie "Cake or Death" Izzard voicing Voldemort
I wonder why they could not have him also voice Voldemort. Would've saved money on voice actors.
@@evilds3261 probably just for a joke xD
I love how it is possible to interpret every line of dialogue in this movie as a child playing with toys.
I can literally see this movie from the perspective of a boy.
Meow meow, you're inn, meow meow
I can totally see myself say that as a child, it's a CATwoman after all.. Cats meow. Checks out.
I think one of my favourite things about this movie is how cute the joker is, and how invested he is in his and Batman's relationship.
Me too I love that Joker tries soo much to be Batman's greatest enemy
As a connoisseur of DC Comics, I love how many obscure villains show up to help the Joker and later Batman. I also love how the film delves into Batman's loneliness, and the arc he goes through, learning to move on from his past trauma and let new loved ones into his life.
It's the best thing DC has made since Superman 1 and 2.
LEGO Batman Movie is the best adaptation of Batman in history. Change my mind.
I won’t.
@@overused6632what's in it that makes it woke
It definitely is the best movie adaptation. But….. the best Batman media every created is Holy Musical B@man! No contest.
It's also the best Lego film
Can’t change your mind when you’re already speaking facts.
Tbh, The Lego Batman Movie it probably my favorite Batman movie. After so many depictions of Batman being so overly-indulgent in the whole dark-gritty thing, it's nice to have a movie that actually has fun with itself more.
You might like "Holy musical B@man" from Starkid then! It's for free on youtube and has a quite similar Batman.
@@philippschafer1762 "It ends tonight Batman! Or should I say... butthead!"

"No! Bruce Wayne lives in Batman's attic!"

The fact that Zoe Kravitz voices Catwoman in this years before she was ever cast in “Tge Batman” is hilarious to me
Regarding the family thing, that's actually why this is the best Batman movie of them all. It'll be a nice change of pace with James Gunn's movie.
For real, a lot of Batman adaptations (looking at you Snyder) don’t understand the character at all (although for Snyder that goes for most of the characters lol)
Harley Quinn is doing it too
3:05: The Killer Croc bit is a reference to the 2016 Suicide Squad movie; he was part of the team and some criticized it for not giving him anything to do until late in the movie, when he went underwater to do something
Its crazy how the Lego Batman movie uses the Batman universe better than the actual movies.
@ANGELINAA.. nO
"Batman, you don't pay your taxes?!"
He's a billionaire, Ange. What do you think?
Batman is not billionaire, it is Bruce Wayne. Also it is Bruce Wayne who pays taxes not batman because technically batman doesn't have any official citizenship id card, by official records he don't exist.
This is one of those movies that every time I watch it I wish I could go back and experience it for the first time again because it is a trip
“Who _hurt you,_ Batman?”
Uh……………………..Joe Chill.
One of the most underrated animated films of our time that's pretty much destined to be a classic. ❤
Zoë Kravitz voices is Catwoman in this, before she was cast in The Batman… which was why I was disappointed in The Batman she didn’t and her senses with “meow meow” lol
Everyone is gangster until Lego Batman plays his song💀💀💀
Yeah, I wish more movies would embrace Batman’s found family (all his Robins and Batgirls). He’s formed a rather large family with them in the comics
In the new dc cinematic universe the bat family is gonna apear

Fun fact! The reason why Robin is so good at parkour and flips is because Dick Grayson's comic book origin is that he was an acrobat!
@ANGELINAA.. also fun fact, the costume Dick grabs in the movie is labelled Nightwing, which is the mantel he took on after he retired from being Robin!

Crime.

A Great Animation Movie I would recommend is called '9' , directed by Shane Acker in 2009 and produced by Tim Burton.
Underrated film
High-key my favorite Batman movie lol. And LEGO Joker is just too darn cute!
