As somebody who started out their musical instrument journey on the piano as a kid, the resonance aspect of this is so niche and nostalgic and right up my alley. Never even crossed my mind that it could be utilised in other ways 👌🏼😮💨
I have the Light pedal and it doesn't really work similar to this at all. Resonators use a super fast delay with high feedback and modulation, not a reverb algorithm.
Bookmarking this vid for ideas for using the resonator algorithms on my Lexicons and Eventides. Powerful but not a lot of info out there on using them.
It's the same kind of effect as rings (and many other resonators in synth/vst/rack form), but if you run a guitar into rings you can immediately see how different they are.
Awesome, thanks for the reply. I've not tried my guitar into rings yet...but I'll be getting one of your pedals regardless. Really well thought out set of complimentary functions to bring something new to pedals :)

@@markjohnstonofficial Actually it is. But it does it in a fancy way with tracking and modulation. As it says on their website «Prismatic Wall utilizes a physical string model formed by tuned delay lines». You can try to make same kind of sounds with any delay.
you're clearly don't understand how it works. and what's more important, you don't even hear the difference. I have about 50 pedals and had many more: it is not a delay type of thing. but if your budget tells you that it is, have fun with your boss delay, sure.
Probably my favorite intro track you've ever done
Yeh that was a nice jam
Opener has the perfect balance of haunting melodic structure.

The intro before drums enter could be a Steven Wilson Bass Communion track! 😊
🔥 so dope bruh
amount of effort that went into this shows 🏆
"Which sounds like dropping a piano." Sold.
Thanks you for always showing what is possible.
I can see this being an always ON pedal. Very cool.
seems like a tameable digital equivalent of the gamechanger reverb, which is probably too chaotic for most players to use well
very useful!

I was hoping you were going to demo this
Definitely wasn’t gonna miss this one.

Yes. Beautiful!
Amazing track! Wonderful work. Is that pitch shifting happening from the Prismatic Wall?
Awesome Intro Track
Does this thing also do Stereo ?
Mono
youve got a link to everything but the pedal itself
Artifakt yesterday..This today..my head is in a spin😱
It's a busy week around these parts
@@markjohnstonofficial Good for us.🙂🤘
Curious, how you talked about a producer friend who adds layers of vocals but takes out consonants. Can you provide a Song that has this effect?
Damn that was a good intro..
Is this a resonator circuit like mutable instruments rings but in pedal format?
Yes, I believe it was inspired by Rings and Karplus-Strong synthesis.

What are the drums here? Absolutely fantastic!
Am I going to pay attention for my next 1 hour and 4 min of the work day? Probably not. 🎉
They’ll be fine with your other 6 hours and 56 minutes.
It's always worth coming back when a presented device comes to work in your environment. You won't get any better go to tutorials on TH-cam.
I could listen to Mark's soothing banter all day.
It's like the band Brand New in a pedal
Martina Bypass
first
It's just a delay with very short delay time. You can make this type of sounds with dd-7 for example.
That’s not what this is doing
