I really want a The Real GhostBusters Plasma Series release! Not just the wand, but a matching pack, traps, and everything they are doing for the movies. The cartoon series had a unique look to the equipment I really like and would love to have the sounds and such from the cartoon as well.

It sadly wouldn’t sell nearly as well has the movie props did. The cartoon as iconic as it is has never sold as well as movie based products

@@SirFunky your comment is like going out to eat and getting served uncooked food and when you complain the restaurant tells you “you didn’t have to eat here”. We are all consumers. We need to protect each other. If you knew how much they make off of these and watched the review above you would have seen they took the lazy way out on instead of being screen accurate with the 1984 wand with a newer mold. Stop defending them.

The wire that comes out of the main body to the barrel is accurate to the 84 pack, however it was clear and has a red wire running through it.
Some of them used black heat shrink, not clear.
It's a red and black duplex wire, not unlike stereo wire. Hasbro's rubber equivalent is in the wrong location on both their wands, but at least they put in the effort. Fairly easy to correct.
@@oppenheimer11Remove the rubber wire and fill the gap with epoxy putty or the filler of your choice, then drill a hole under the barrel in the correct location (the Ghostbusters Reference Library has extensive photo reference) and add the correct heat-shrinked red/black wire.

I think they're making plans for it. They know fans will want an 84 pack that started it all.
Afterlife pack came with all the features, lights, sounds and decals to convert it to an 84. This wand goes with those add ons. There wont be more pack and why 84 options were included with the campain.
there's not enough changes really to count it as an 84 there were fine details in this not in the 84 that really stand out to purists (like me) @@mykstylz plus they would be absolute fools to not try a second bite at that apple! As long as they put out stuff we like we need to make it rain money on them to prove the fans (customers) are always right.

Luckily I had just gotten paid when the '84 wand went live and I was able to order me one. Mine came a few days ago and I am pretty happy with it and now have mine hooked up to my Haslab Afterlife pack and it's looking good.

Yes the wire was always coming out of the grip but it's supposed to go down to the underside of the barrel into the body.
Fairly unimaginative follow up. I’ll get one all the same probably.
I doubt they addressed the wire pinch issue though and a twisting front end would’ve been cool to add..
They did address the wire pinch issue, and I believe the random barrel extension noise issue, as well. They updated the wiring for the orange-tip Spengler wand, and made further adjustments for the 84 wand, to address those initial problems.
Barrel twist would've been cool, though.
You should do a comparison video with the 84 wand and the matty collectors wand.
We just need an 84 Ghost Containment Unit to go with it
Always the best place in town for anything and everything Ghostbusters.
Was considering dressing up for work on Halloween as a ghostbusters and get this and possibly a proton pack.
The only hang up I have with the 84, is that the seam I. The front barrel has some movement to it, and that same seam goes through the front grip and I can feel it.
Those Harsin printed grips feel great though. Considering going back to the original plan of modding the Spengler wand and having multiple grip versatility.
I’ve got 3 of the 4 harsin snap grips and at cons or even when it’s on display I’ll swap out the grips. It’s quick and easy. I’ve got an all black 84 grip, another 84 grip that did with a wood grain finish and lightly painted black to look like the paint has worn off and looks 200x better than the attempted wood on the hasbro 84 wand. And my favourite one is a bigger and more accurate afterlife grip. I made it look like wood and threaded real bolts into it and it feels so good to hold. My next one which isn’t my primary concern is the FE grip.

I am wondering if these are supposed to be ‘84 wands but they were still in the fire house or with a ghostbuster so they r older then we think they arnt a carbon copy we might see this exact wand in Frozen Empire
The one thing i wish they would have fixed was the bar graph! It just seemes like a repackaged spengler wand. And with some light mods you can get the same thing. I have mine attached to a life size spirit pack. I upgraded the bargraph with the frutotechnology one. Looks and sounds amazing.

My pack and wand are cast from the Florida Ghostbusters shows..but also have the hasbro wand and Pack.. along with the earlier Mattel Wand and Trap

The Hasbro Ghostbusters neutrona want looks pretty amazing and I love how it has all different kinds of sound from each Ghostbusters movie, like it has all of the sounds effect from the neutrona wand and it's pretty epic! And I love it😁👻🚫 I've always wanted one of those for a Ghostbuster prop

I love it. Super cool they decided to do it and I’m totally fine with it as is. However, much like with the first, it would have been nice if the hat lights were translucent plastic instead of just painted
OK, not gonna lie to you. My birthday is on June 8, 2011 so yes I am 13 and for my birthday. I got 170 bucks and found this exact neutron war 1984 for 125 bucks but it went on discount today so I bought it. Bought one of my favorite movie props for my birthday birthday and my birthday is the day that it released awesome.😂

The only mode I don't understand is the slime mode, that was a completely different pack and wand.

@@nascarben yes, was the slime mode to neutralize the black slime and the secondary slime tether to move environmental objects.
Also this slime is green. Ghostbusters 2 slime is pink.
Is Hasbro planning on crowd funding an alternate 84 version of the proton pack?
The wire was there on the OG wand in 84, but it wasn't wrapped in electrical tape, it was a black/red duplex wire inside heat shrink. Also, the placement for the wire is too high, on both of the Hasbro wands. Still, points for effort.

I was gonna get another afterlife wand to try and mod it to an 84. This was a much better option bc I would have broken something. Now I have my haslab pack with its wand and maybe sometime down the road I get a full size spirit pack for this wand. Hell if I wait long enough maybe Haslab will do an 84 pack in the next couple of years.

Highly doubt it. Even at a slightly reduced price it’d make the whole Exclusivity of the first one completely redundant. All it would be is the same as the wand, remove the afterlife parts and ease up on the silver paint. Besides they’d have to actually reach the goal as a project like that will have to be a haslab and they would have to think of stretch goals. Best bet would just be to get a life size spirit and with a movie electronics kit, Spengler wand connection kit and some extra parts you’d have the same thing for roughly the same price.
@@tord6725 agreed however i do like that the haslab pack has the bumper separate not molded to the pack. I know the spirit pack can be modified but defeats the cost effectiveness and you might as well get a fiberglass shell. I built two spirit life size...... one with the spengler wand the other adding lights to the spirit wand......

I am hoping that the V hook doesn’t stick as much as the Afterlife wand. It’s a HUGE pain to unholster.
This is my first wand, and when I saw the colors changed … I was like, No way…? Is this from the video game? So awesome. Praying for a 1984 Proton pack… I ordered the Trap and PKE Haslab two pack.
I'm buying the Spirit Halloween full size pack, but I want to change the wand. Should i go with the Egon or 84 version? I imagine the 84 would look better with that pack, but looking for some feedback before i buy one.
They're roughly the same outside of the grips, so it really just depends on if you want the shotgun handle on the front grip (depending on if you're also doing anything to the back one with that gap to it). Afterlife or OG look, the choice is yours.

Can this wand be hooked up to the life size spirit Halloween pack?
I went to Megacon Orlando last week & I seen the wand other ghostbusters had & the orange light goes up & down. Mine does not do that.
the black fake wire thing going to the grip is correct but should be a transparent tube with red yellow and black wires inside
It was black on the super hero pack, which the Spengler wand was based on, so they've likely copied that.
Question: which clippard valve is the actual one they used for the original neutrona wand?
It varied. Most had a R-701 on the wand. Some had a R-331.
Does anyone else have issues with the start-up sequence? I flip the two on the right, then the active switch, and that just powers it down. I'm I doing something wrong cause I can't get it to work.

does anyone know if this is gonna have better wiring for the barrel? the afterlife wands tend to fray the barrel wires when “making it hard” because they get pinched between the bottom of the barrel and the frame of the gun itself.
I just studied the hasbro pulse images and shots of the neutrina wand from GBII and it looks surprisingly accurate. Down to the colors of the button and bolt on the front of the wand and even the now painted black piece near the blinking light.
The only big inaccuracy is the brown on the grips. The black wire I am still not sure of either
All that being said I do have to get me one. Though I will probably keep my Spangler wand attached to my pack.
Hasbro said there’s extra playability regarding the rumble of the pack interacting with the current release of neutrina wands, so you notice any differences?
The OG grips were brown, painted black. The paint rubbed off quite a bit, reportedly accelerated by a chemical reaction with the black gloves they used when firing the wands. So the black and brown is accurate, it just seems the application leaves something to be desired. Easy repaint, though.
EDIT: The wire is also accurate, though it should be placed lower than it is, and unlike the Afterlife wire, shouldn't appear to be wrapped in electrical tape.
@jamesoblivion the OG grips weren't brown per se, you can see areas where they're chipped down to the cream resin underneath the brown colouring, the super hero looks full on orange rather than brown.

How easy is it to remove the afterlife tape? Was thinking of getting a 3D grip from Etsy for front and back
get a really sharp exacto knife and you can cut a line right down the top of it and pull it off, it’s super easy

To answer your question there is in no fact a wire connection on the grip in Ghostbusters 1 and 2 looked at screenshots from both films it's on on the afterlife wands so yep less is more 😅

They had one of the screen used Ghostbusters 84 and Ghostbusters 89 packs at the Prop Store Auction House and it does indeed have the wire but it looks different.
It is black and red duplex wire in heat shrink and located slightly different and on each gun.
I have long suspected that wire is necessary for the practical lighting effects at the end of the wand tip for filming.
