- Have you heard what insurance companies want you to pay to protect your home? Insurance companies asked the North Carolina Department of Insurance for a 50.6% increase in dwelling policies. Then, in January, there was a 42.2% increase in Homeowners insurance, and now they're asking for an 82.9% percent increase in mobile home insurance premiums.

Great way to help consumers / homeowners at a time when they’ve already been gouged by the rising cost of everything else
Just self insure ; as the Insurance Companies do not pay claims anyway.
And the deductible for a wind claim is much too high !
Just wait till home insurance becomes mandatory, like when car insurance went mandatory.
It's mandatory if you have a mortgage.
Yet another example of something government should not be involved in. It's not their job to "ensure a robust insurance market." Stop meddling in private business. Let them succeed or fail on their own.
criminals, robbers, liars
As you know, Insurance is a gamble. Home Owners in Florida and your State are betting on a hurricane, or (X). Insurance Companies are betting against a hurricane or (X). Now, common sense tells me, the bet should be based on probability, the coast will be hit a lot harder than inland Florida. Which is true. Then why are the Insurance Companies screwing *Inland Florida home Owners? *(20 miles from the coast).
They want no customers I guess
