    About Jeremiah Craig
    I love telling stories with my music and folk ballads are my passion. This is why I call myself a Balladeer. I’ve included many story elements in my songs since the beginning of my songwriting career in the Rochester, NY area. Then I continued my journey in Phoenix, Seattle, and currently in Boston. In 2004 I made my musical debut with the band Bluegrass Tuesday. In 2006 I formed an original rock/jazz jam band, Jack Swift, who in 2009, went on the “You Don’t Know Jack Tour Spectacular” across five states. I started my solo career in 2011 with my first full-length album, Gardener Hands. I have released 6 albums and several singles and I continue to document my music with video content and I also recently started making videos about cowboy boots!
    Listen to my recordings and check out upcoming shows to get a better sense of me as a singer/songwriter.

    Nice boots! I’m kind of a “tweeter” between a D and EE. I’ve found some really great deals on EE boots that I couldn’t pass up. I fill the extra space with Dr. Scholl’s inserts or the really cheap foam inserts and thicker socks.

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I do the same! I find that 11D works well in length so I use an insert to do that too. Good trick!

    I had a pair of their work boots, I have foot problems and have to use special insoles. I didn’t have any for those work boots and I couldn’t wear them. I gave them to a friend. They were well built tho.

  • @balkee42
    @balkee42 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Getting a right foot on boots is a chore. ParticulArly vintage boots. Im a 10.5D but most 10.5D in vintage are too small and narrow or too wide in the heel. Going up on length but down in width worked better but hard to find longer B widths

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah those narrow sizes are few and far between. Kinda sad but hopefully as cowboy boots become more popular, companies will branch out to narrower widths for major models

    9EE with danner insoles

  • @abelhernandez2591
    @abelhernandez2591 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have a pair of these boots. The problem with these boots is that the rubber sole underneath the toe area comes apart with time. It can be fixed with some C-clamps, precision Q-tips and some rubber cement. They are super comfortable with the insoles and it's a plus that they can be removed. I personally use insoles from my old sneakers. The color starts to fade away on the vamp area due to wear and tear but if you add Angelus dark brown wax the color can he restored. When you buy Lucchese's I suggest you down size half an inch or 1 inch depending on the width of your foot. I wear 11.5 on sneakers but the boots fit me big if its the same size. But its ok because I just wear thicker socks and baggy jeans it they look great.

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hard to say. I think these are still pretty new soles to Lucchese. Double H has put years into their ICE outsoles so if I had to bet, I'd bet on the Double H ICE at this point in time.

    From what you can remember from those boots could you wear them without the insoles? Was there a lining that covered the hill nails?

  • @ameza357

    I have multiple exotic 1883 lucchese boots which are extremely comfortable. I have a pair of rudy tans which are basically thre square Tore version of these. I like them but after months of wearing them I believe that the soles are too soft making them wear out quick.

    I work on a farm which means I build fences, drive tractors, etc. on a daily basis. I have a pair of leather soles for riding horses, but I want something with a rubber sole for working and driving tractor. I’m thinking either something from Lucchesse with this type of sole or something from Ariat from the relentless collection with their rubber soles. Any thoughts?

    What can I expect walking into a boot store for the first time? Would they be open to help me find my perfect boot size?

    • @JeremiahCraig
      @JeremiahCraig  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If they aren't open to helping you find your perfect boot size, you should go someplace else. Have them measure your foot and try on a bunch of different stuff. Even if it's a style you don't necessarily like, it will give you an idea to how different brands feel then you can narrow down your decisions on style from there.

    • @pirogue6565
      @pirogue6565 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have 2 pairs of these boots. One pair I was using for ranch work, and the other for just knocking around in. On the ranch pair, the soles were not holding up well at all after just a short period of time, and the heels started coming apart. Sent them back to Lucchese and they replaced the soles and heels with different soles and heels, still rubber, but completely different type/pattern. That tells me Lucchese knows the original soles and heels are crap. Oh, and they also replaced the removable foam insole with a permanent leather insole.

But then I did some research to see if people were actually searching for cowboy boot content in Google and it turns out lots of people were. So I made a video it's turned into something really cool. I can't really believe it myself and it's taken some getting used to but I feel like these are the kind of videos that would make me more interested in boots when I was getting into it so I make the stuff I would want to watch. It's been a great way to share my music too. I made a whole video about it th-cam.com/video/KJJnpWnzhxk/w-d-xo.html. Thanks for watching and I'm really glad you like the videos! Plenty more to come!
