  • This trip Neil and I are on the gold but decide to leave it and try to find bigger nuggets in different areas. This didn't go so well, we spent 4 days exploring different areas and came up with just the 1 piece for the 4 days it was a little bit of a disaster but that's sometimes how prospecting goes. You never know if you don't have a go. We ended up back on the gold and Neil finds his biggest gold nugget ever!

    When I was in WA last, (16 years now), I had 5 days without gold. Very frustrating especially when you're there for a short time. We did ok in the end but it does your head in.
    Well done fellas on the good days

    Heck yeah. Some of the best days right there. Some wicked gold found.
    That creek crossing looked a hell of a lot tamer than what it was. And that breakaway was awesome to walk around too.

    Beautiful scenery, Lee, and characterful gold, the long one looks like an 1840s flintlock pistol, another looks like that Holtzmann fellow holding up the world's largest gold specimen. The scenery and filming like I'd gone back to the seventies with Malcolm Douglas, just needed some Don Burrows on oboe Sydney weird and spooky jazz atmospherics. Heartbreaking with the mate, the family and he are with you and your friends and associates with caring and great respect, and honourable regard, good on you in sharing for us and all. Be well, and thanks.

    Dave here Lee, yet another cracking video. Some great scenery as well. Colder weather has reduced the number of flies but there was rain and ground was very damp.

    Ok i really dont know where does the sound pick it up the middle i know all around the coil what i mean when you are digging it from watching it seems like middle to the end of the coil I love your videos and good luck

    • @SavageProspecting
      @SavageProspecting  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I try and bring the coil in from all sides, you can hear where it starts to pick it up, the proudest point and then where it finishes just takes a little time but you'll get to know where it is pretty well with repetition. Thanks so much I'm glad you like the videos😊

    You best take the hunts with Neil to dry land…. Cause NAVY IS WHIPPING YOU LATELY😂😂😂 jk. congrats on the wins Neil your luck has turned. Bummer on your mate best wishes. As for you… your still a legend and do quite well with a detector you can win em all but I’m sure your still ahead on wins lol thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼 p.s. I had a fly issue once while out prospecting had no net because I’d never had an issue well after 8 hours of them buzzing around me when I finally got to bed U COULD STILL HEAR THEM BUZZING😳 even though they were long gone. Does it affect you the same way? or are you used to it because of how often your plagued by them?

      @@SavageProspecting shoot every video of yours you have walked away with several chunks. This I think is the most I've seen you get so far. Your finding 34 bits in area I would call someone and get some machines out there, Your that close to a source them nuggets are going to be bigger the farther down you go. Any stay safe and get lots of shiny.

    Does your scale weigh in grams or oz? On average how much do you make per month? Is it enough to do this full time?

    • @SavageProspecting
      @SavageProspecting  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It does both but I use grams. It varies so much I couldn't say. It would be hard to live off in Vic going to crown land but more attainable in WA. You definitely need other forms of income or some money behind you to cover those bad days or weeks.

    • @kathyadams7025

      These are bush flies. The areas the gold is found in western australia are cattle stations (ranchs). Victoria and the eastern states have no where near the issue of flies to the same extent as us in western australia. Huge stations covering thousands of square kilometres of ground. Cattle dung is the breeding sites of these flies over the hot months (october-April) . This year was particularly bad for flies, although we wear fly nets every hot month or you would go crazy.. Winter kills them off and the days are cool and clear and you can prospect without the nets.
