l need to start at the beginning of your list. l am a beginner programmer, the last shop l worked forbid us to try. The one l am at now requires it, you are awesome dude keep cranking them out and God bless you for it.
same here, it is stupid to me when some shop want to purchase mazak with mazaktrol built in but all they want you to do is EIA...If they want to do that buy a cheap fanuc instead.
How about lead out angle on the thread? Some proprietary threads that we cut require a specific pull out distance on the thread. The specs give a distance to the last full depth of thread and they also specify a "final scratch" distance.
I thread at 400 sf on almost all metals, angle is 60 but 59 gives a better finish and I autoset thread height. thread taper is 3/4 over a foot or 1.7889 angle for mpt what chamfer do you use? I have always used thread pitch. nice vid
I worked with a guy who was pretty good at a die shop ,he was taking about .010 pass on D2 shafts .And Im like wth I always did .003 and I got see the finish cause its going to be bad.Anyway it looked like a corncob ,other guy seen him was like good god" .For a guy that was in the trade for 20 yrs I thought it was rough shod work ,and if Im out thinking you wether you want to increase production time thats cool but be a craftsmen .Your threads are how they should be done .Industry now in days its all about spitting out something than quality.
